    Je Engels is goed. Bij mij tikken de valve lifters. Ik heb er full synthetic olie in gedaan en dit gaf al veel verbetering, zeker in de morgen bij eerste start. Warm en gereden is dat getik weg, wellicht kan ik nog een tijdje voort. De 70 mm bout wordt dikwijls gebruikt om de krukaspoeliebout vast zetten en zag ik niet bij je. Goede auto maar een 6° versnelling mis ik(verbruik & en hoge toeren)

      On next oil change you can use engine flush to clean the engine from inside

    Hello!
    I might have some questions...if allowed
    1.6 16V Renault kangoo, 2005. Timing skipped ( i think the crankshaft pulley wasnt tight enough, from the last owner).
    put on new belt but the cam rollers, the pieces that push the valves are not working correctly? I have no idea. How to the hydraulic lifters work? Never worked on a car with hydraulic lifters before.
    The rocker arms seem to not sit correctly. They are floppy and they have fallen off from where they are supposed to be ( this is after new timing belt replacement , on the first turn of the engine)

    Fantastic... Dear friend.. Thank you very much.. My timing belt snapped.. 25 mph I have to do this job.. and with your kind help you have made me very happy and given me a lot of training to speed up the job One question sir.. do we always have to 'machine' the head when removing/replacing ? Thank you..

    • @mechanicigor
      @mechanicigor  4 роки тому +3

      If the car it's not overheated it can go like that without machining but it's better to make it flat

      Sorry for delay.. I have only just realised you replied.. Thank you.. With your help I will fix car.. I have repaired a 1995 Honda Accord - Head Gasket, I did use workshop manual for that job - and so far as I proceed the Megane seems easier.. Good luck with all your repairs this year.. Regards from Ireland..

    Ever since completing this same job... all valves... ( Big thanks for video..) my brake pedal is stiff. I don't know why as we don't go near the booster or check valve pipe.. I have manual so tomorrow I will have a look.. Also idle valve didn't work afterwards either.. Has anyone have an ideas ? Thank you..

    • @mechanicigor

      That one is glued with silicone thats why is hard for removal you have to use hammer and hit sideways but slowly and you will hear when sound change after that use screwdriver to pull out

    I have one question for you , before you put back the hydraulic lifters , you emptied the oil from them to make new adjustment ? Thank you

      @mechanicigor  4 роки тому

      No I leave them like they were because when you start the engine the will empty by themselves until you have oil pressure

    I have just replaced valves in Renault Megane.. I put the camshafts back in with the pulleys in place.. I never noticed those seals.. I refit rocker cover and attached a new water pump and timing belt I then removed the cam pulley nuts to allow timing set.. and re-tightened... again I never noticed any seals..However all along I did notice I have two new ring seals left over in head gasket kit and wondered where did they belong ? Once the job was completed and timing belt covers in place and mounted engine and car started I discovered a large oil leak... From first look appears to be from top of engine near rear cam area.. Would a lot of oil come from the pulley end seals if they are wrong or old and need replacing...
    Thank you to any one who helps..

    • @mechanicigor

      Yes there are seals on both camshaft and have to be installed properly so they don't leak

    I worried in advance about the exhaust bolts because I know how tricky lower down rusted nuts/bolts can be.. and as I proceed to remove the 3 bolts.. 05:16 mins Well 10mm is too big.. 9mm is too small ? ? I am afraid to use a 'grips' .. I hear that you say exhaust manifold cannot be removed unless we remove these 3 bolts.. Does anyone have any ideas to help.. I have sprayed WD40 type and will try to get an imperial wrench.. Thank you..

    • @mechanicigor

      Try to hammer 9mm because from the rust they are smaller than 10mm and bigger than 9mm
