I'm actually glad ya'll aren't jumping straight into the bts guide like most youtubers do. I think it's better to get to know bts through their music first before getting to know them a little more as people. hearing their songs and learning about them through the language of music is also a really cool experience, and I feel like a lot of armys forget that most of us got into bts by liking their music first, not by watching the bts guide made by armys. the guides help you understand bts as individual people (to an extent) and a little about army.

J-Hope met J Cole at 2022 Lollapalooza. BTW J-Hope did all the whistling in this song. Also, the alley in the beginning of the song (NY) is the same alley that J Cole rapped in his MV, Simba. J Hope is a huge fan of J Cole and particularly likes his song Friday Night Lights (which he used to dance to, hence he is dancing to J Cole's rapping in this song). Hope you will react to 2022 Lollapalooza for J-Hope's solo performance . It is very good. He said in a Weverse live a couple of days ago that he is currently working on new "material" in LA. As someone who hates complaining but found the two in the back last time very disengaged from the expectations that come with a reaction channel, I am quite pleased to hear your maturity and commitment to the integrity of your channel. The front row and back row in that last reaction really were night and day. I am quite happy you have the desire to put out quality reactions as I had been enjoying your reactions a lot until when the "cameraman" was added. His attitude seemed distanced from the other four. His attiude later seemed to rub off on the American guy who was unsure whether it is ok to like something outside his safety zone to start with..

What I noticed about this collab is how many bars Cole gave Hobi. That was major respect on his part. If you check our J Hopes ARSON and MORE you realise Hobi also held back in order to best allow J Cole his hero the best showcase for his part. Cole met Hobi at Hobis Chicago LOLLAPALOOZA sell out mainstage debut solo concert (100,000+) so Cole knew exactly who he was dealing with music and message wise. Coles message in his rap fits well with Hobis vibe.

The fact that he wrote so many bars for this song is a great sign of respect and I am sure J Hope would tell you that. J Cole is well known for only doing what he wants to do. Anyone who knows Cole will tell you that is how they will regard it. He only does this much for other artists he respects. As for the order. Lollapalooza happens in other venues than Chicago. It is very significant that Hobi sold out a performance predominately in Korean on a Sunday, and J Cole would know this, also everybody was talking about Hobis performance.

I must look to see why Cole likes this guy so much. This collab didn’t happen out of the blue. J-hope started as a street dancer very young and he has been very passionate about hip hop since then. He admires old school rappers because he used to dance on their songs but his ultimate admiration has always been J Cole. I guess, J hope first met Jermaine when Jhope headlined Lollapalooza in 2022 and that year, J Cole was also performing at Lollapalooza and Jhope met him at the backstage and after 4-5 months, we got this collab announcement. You can see Jhope’s admiration for Jcole in this song also. He didn’t try to outshine Jermaine out of respect. Jhope had very less bars in this song. Did you notice in the music video that when Jermaine was rapping, Jhope was dancing. He tried to recreate his teenage days when he used to dance on Jermaine’s song. So you can understand how special this collab was. Oh and because he has been a dancer, his knowledge of beats is unmatchable. His songs always have outstanding beats. And to cherish his pen game and word plays, one must have a good command over Korean language. Translator Armys help us with that and we’re grateful to them.

Loved this reaction. J-Hope is J-Cole's biggest fan. They finally met at Lollapalooza in 2020 when Hobi headlined and he was starstruck. J-Cole has a lot of time for J-Hope and gives BTS a shout out in Blow by Blow. You really should watch J-Hope's Lollapallooza performance, it's sooooo good (and the first Asian artist to headline I believe?). On another note, ARMY are so protective of BTS, as you've now found out. ARMY loves to see others go down the BTS rabbit hole because they know how surprising it is. I think if you were to watch Taylor Mari's Guide to Bangtan 7 and/or the Rise to Bangan series you'd all be really surprised at their talent and hard work to get to where they are. They're definitely not the usual manufactured K-pop group. But for some, they're just not their thing, and that's okay. I dismissed them in 2020 as a young boy band even though Dynamite and Butter were great songs, but then I saw the JK and Usher remix of Standing Next To You and thought Who TF is this??? That's when I disappeared. Hobi's now discharged and has been in the US... something's coming!

I like your genuine reactions, even with the other guys, I like the vibe of your reactions, so I hope you don't change because of the harsh criticism from armys. We tend to be quite defensive, but it shows when things are said or done with bad intentions and I personally didn't notice that this is the case, it is understandable that they have been clowning around about something they don't understand , and funny enough, because of this inconvenience it is clear that you are really learning to love and respect BTS, to open up to discover if you like it or not, and that is great, I love seeing how you changed from the first reaction until now. You have to listen to their mix tapes, RM, Suga, and J-hope. They each have two albums out, also their solo stuff is amazing. All seven members have solo songs on all their albums. But the mix tapes are just the rappers, I feel like you will really enjoy them because like you said, it’s deep. They actually talk about stuff, not the mess you see in “rap” today.

Not even, your favorite... yas banger but you definitely have to hear BTS's rendition of of JCole's "Born Sinner" Born Singer!!! There's been 3 or 4 covers of it since they first performed it and everytime they killed it. First performance was real, a bit sad. Second performance was well felt with they want wanted to potray through all there struggles and the last, was a homage to their last album as a group before their military leave. All undeniably sooo beautifully performed!! Plus Jhope idolized JCole from the beginning of his career. What a honor to have him collab with him on his last solo sing before he left for the military. He wanted to give this gift and do this for his fans but at the same time, give his idol all the time on the song as it was an honor too to show repect and love on both levels of what he wanted to convey before his departure... that's love and respect for real.

As someone who hates complaining but found the two in the back last time very disengaged from the expectations that come with a reaction channel, I am quite pleased to hear your maturity and commitment to the integrity of your channel. The front row and back row in that last reaction really were night and day. I am quite happy you have the desire to put out quality reactions as I had been enjoying your reactions a lot until when the "cameraman" was added. His attitude seemed distanced from the other four. His attiude later seemed to rub off on the American guy who was unsure whether it is ok to like something outside his safety zone to start with..

Please give it a listen with the lyrics beside you. Serious bars, serious message. It was completed before the collab happened just in case j-hope ran out of time before military service. The Avirex jacket and sweater were a heavy nod to early hip hop. They promptly sold out, and had a renewal of their brand. Several different colors. The details were so important. Thank you for being open to the artistry, and it made me smile to sing along with you.

I could tell the guys were just kinda amped up and goofin' off, but it was hard for me since that happens to be one of my favorite songs. What I noticed about this collab is how many bars Cole gave Hobi. That was major respect on his part. If you check our J Hopes ARSON and MORE you realise Hobi also held back in order to best allow J Cole his hero the best showcase for his part. Cole met Hobi at Hobis Chicago LOLLAPALOOZA sell out mainstage debut solo concert (100,000+) so Cole knew exactly who he was dealing with music and message wise. Coles message in his rap fits well with Hobis vibe.

The fact that he wrote so many bars for this song is a great sign of respect and I am sure J Hope would tell you that. J Cole is well known for only doing what he wants to do. Anyone who knows Cole will tell you that is how they will regard it. He only does this much for other artists he respects. As for the order. Lollapalooza happens in other venues than Chicago. It is very significant that Hobi sold out a performance predominately in Korean on a Sunday, and J Cole would know this, also everybody was talking about Hobis performance.

I must look to see why Cole likes this guy so much. We know and love BTS but do you know how many rap fans I reccomended RMs collab with Walle because I knew they were Walle fans, and they were really angry when they found out how old it was. It's the time for jhope lollapalooza
This collab didn’t happen out of the blue. J-hope started as a street dancer very young and he has been very passionate about hip hop since then. He admires old school rappers because he used to dance on their songs but his ultimate admiration has always been J Cole.
I guess, J hope first met Jermaine when Jhope headlined Lollapalooza in 2022 and that year, J Cole was also performing at Lollapalooza and Jhope met him at the backstage and after 4-5 months, we got this collab announcement.
You can see Jhope’s admiration for Jcole in this song also. He didn’t try to outshine Jermaine out of respect. Jhope had very less bars in this song.
Did you notice in the music video that when Jermaine was rapping, Jhope was dancing. He tried to recreate his teenage days when he used to dance on Jermaine’s song.
So you can understand how special this collab was.
Oh and because he has been a dancer, his knowledge of beats is unmatchable. His songs always have outstanding beats. And to cherish his pen game and word plays, one must have a good command over Korean language. Translator Armys help us with that and we’re grateful to them.

Loved this reaction. J-Hope is J-Cole's biggest fan. They finally met at Lollapalooza in 2020 when Hobi headlined and he was starstruck. J-Cole has a lot of time for J-Hope and gives BTS a shout out in Blow by Blow. You really should watch J-Hope's Lollapallooza performance, it's sooooo good (and the first Asian artist to headline I believe?). On another note, ARMY are so protective of BTS, as you've now found out. ARMY loves to see others go down the BTS rabbit hole because they know how surprising it is. I think if you were to watch Taylor Mari's Guide to Bangtan 7 and/or the Rise to Bangan series you'd all be really surprised at their talent and hard work to get to where they are. They're definitely not the usual manufactured K-pop group. But for some, they're just not their thing, and that's okay. I dismissed them in 2020 as a young boy band even though Dynamite and Butter were great songs, but then I saw the JK and Usher remix of Standing Next To You and thought Who TF is this??? That's when I disappeared. Hobi's now discharged and has been in the US... something's coming!
I also wanted to add that Jhope has always been a dancer he joined BTS as an underground dancer who later became a rapper he would always freestyle dance to J Cole's music so although he didnt use his second verse for respect to J.Cole his freestyle dance to J.cole's lyrics is his 2nd verse in itself

I didn’t think they were trying to be disrespectful anyway, I just don’t think they’ve been exposed to this kind of music before (the vocal line). I would suggest exploring their songs as a group rather than “just the vocal line” or “just the rap line”; this way the vocal line will grow on you as well. I suggest “baepsae”; live performance, somehow I feel like all of you will like it. Definitely always go for the live performances, BTS members are absolutely savage and crazy on stage! You have to listen to their mix tapes, RM, Suga, and J-hope. They each have two albums out, also their solo stuff is amazing. All seven members have solo songs on all their albums. But the mix tapes are just the rappers, I feel like you will really enjoy them because like you said, it’s deep. They actually talk about stuff, not the mess you see in “rap” today.

Not even, your favorite... yas banger but you definitely have to hear BTS's rendition of of JCole's "Born Sinner" Born Singer!!! There's been 3 or 4 covers of it since they first performed it and everytime they killed it. First performance was real, a bit sad. Second performance was well felt with they want wanted to potray through all there struggles and the last, was a homage to their last album as a group before their military leave. All undeniably sooo beautifully performed!!
Plus Jhope idolized JCole from the beginning of his career. What a honor to have him collab with him on his last solo sing before he left for the military. He wanted to give this gift and do this for his fans but at the same time, give his idol all the time on the song as it was an honor too to show repect and love on both levels of what he wanted to convey before his departure... that's love and respect for real.
