RM and Suga both started in the underground rap scene. They are like Eminem, no one in Korea dares to speak ill of them, those that have got buried. Them lyrics are lethal.
the 6 bullets etc. are referring to the other members. even if he's doing something on his own, he knows he got them behind him and he's making it clear that each of them is skilled af on their own. he could send each member out, shooting them like bullets and each of them would be deadly in their own right, having more talent in the tip of their pinkies than the badmouthers and wannabes.
Also ; he gives credit to the sample …. Joke" by Rap Monster sampled Run the Jewels's "Oh My Darling (Don't Cry)" ! He always sings. - use my beat ; ‘Hit me’ - try me, send it back ….. NO ONE HAS! Namjoon their Leader ; Our President!!!! 💜. Yall nice Keep Going !!

We're so glad you're reacting to BTS, especially the rapline and really witnessing their greatness. But please understand there is SOOOOO much more (I literally cannot put enough O's) of even just the rapline's work. WE KNOW about writing 16 bars b/c Suga has been doing it since early high school. We know about production and engineering beats because Suga would do lives with his beat machine and create beats from scratch in front of us (ARMY) and teach us how to do it. We know how hard it is to create a whole song b/c RM and Suga both are some of the most prolific copyrighted songwriters in the Korean Music Copyright Association (more than 100 songs each I believe) and Suga has won an award from the Association. We've watched RM and Suga write songs from scratch on planes, while camping, while drunk. We're ARMY. We know about flow switches, cadence, mumble rap, stutter rap, double entendre, adlibs. We've watched them create songs together in RMs studio overnight, then go right into the dance practice room to perfect the performance and show it to the other members, and then go right to the performance with no sleep. They show all of it to ARMY. We've seen their very first studio, where the rain would leak in on the equipment. We know the story behind every song, their struggles, their breakthroughs. We recommend songs to you based on what we've heard you mention you enjoy along with others you weren't even thinking about. Trust us, we know. There is so much content--interviews with American artists, RM has worked with Warren G, Jimin has a song on one of the Fast and Furious soundtracks, they have lives, variety shows, studio footage, concert footage and more than i can even mention. Even for just the rapline alone, when I say you're at the tip of the iceberg; you're standing on one toe, balancing on an ice cube, on the tip of a baby penguin's head, who's standing on his daddy's head, who's standing on the tip of an iceberg, and 80% of that b*tch is under the water. I'm trying to tell you. ARMY is an educated fandom. We are meticulous in our critique of rappers, rap lyrics, and skill because the rapline feeds us very well and has taught us very well. If you want a song where RM does 9 flow changes, we just have it to you. You want J-Hope sounding like Autotune with no Autotune--we've got it. Suga doing his whole entire last section of a song in one breath, or switching rap styles 4 times in one song--we've got it. If you have a question, ask ARMY, if you want to see something, ask ARMY. You can talk to us about writing, rap, production, performance. We know. The pop side, the dance, the rap, the ballads. We know. We're not civilian fans. We're ARMY. Please put respect on our name.😊💜
One of the unique things that drew me to BTS when i first got to know them is how diverse their discography was. I remember listening to the rap line and being educated abt Hiphop and a little abt the culture, (tbh i don’t listen to rap or hip hop much) but i’ve learned to show an appreciation to it due to the love BTS has for the genre. It’s interesting how BTS opened up my taste in music. And i’m glad u guys are getting to know BTS and their music, and falling in love with their lyricism and music in a similar way that I had experienced.
BTS song Born Singer well the song on it's based on J Cole's song Born Sinner and BTS has shown love, respect and appreciation for J Cole many times in their songs and JHope really appreciates J Cole which is why we really wanted to collaborate with J Cole.
Change w/ Wale is so underrated & evergreen!! 💜 Also, Sean Stockman from Boyz to Men did a cover-in Korean (!) of one of the BTS member's songs- Jimin Serendipity! Moogy, they might like American Hustle Life episodes? Shows their roots & respect for the culture. Even if the kidnapping premise was shitty & I hate that part. 💜 -51yo GenX mom ARMY #westcoastisthebestcoast
At the time, "Joke" came as a response to acquaintances and friends in the underground hip hop scene who ostracized RM and Suga for being in an idol group and not rapping fast enough. The end was left open to those who wanted to say something which nobody has responded to. P.S. This was also performed with a deviated septum
The Rappers were heavily influenced by NAS, Eminem, Busta Rhymes, Tupac, BIG, Rakim, Illmatic, Eric B, Epik HIgh, Doggystyle, KRS-ONE, Jay-Z, Warren G, Coolio, Wale, J. Cole and Soooo many others that they mention in the song HIPHOP PHILE. When you do listen to that song just know they did two versions that you have to listen to in order to understand their journey. The most recent version they performed on BTS PROOF LIVE in the Las Vegas Desert which speaks of their growth and current selves then the original version performed in Japan 2015 during their Dark and Wild album era Wake Up tour. I definitely recommend RM's VOICE, MONSTER, DO YOU, AWAKENING, TOO MUCH, LIFE, RUSH ft Krizz Kaliko and BELIEVE which are all from his first mixtape on SoundCloud but a few are on YT. His second Mixtape named MONO was more of a inner reflection Mixtape but All the songs on his most recent albums INDIGO and RPWP are all BANGERS. Omgggg pressed this faster than anything. And damn it you also like that old song i think by flavor 😂😂😂as for this song that part he was all like bidibi... Its like mocking rappers who think rap is those who talk fast and have no bars. Thats why he was all mocking them.
@@mugidabeardid you know that the nickname Rap Monster was given to him by a fellow rapper? When this other dude (I can't recall his name, sorry!) was in a rap battle he name dropped Namjoon and called him a rap monster, and the name stuck! This info can be found on the BTS pre-debut site. (I know site, but I don't know site name 😂)
His music like this doesn't get played in KOREA. Even though he is getting crazy streams off this without radio play. You gotta realize the talent and rap skills he has to switch from Korea to English in his rap flow. For me, I pick all 3 of them for their endless rap skills because they each have different rap flow.
When RM was 13 years old( western age and 14 in korean age) He famously wiped the floor with another rapper in battle which ended up the in the bars of a third rapper. He was known as Runch Randa, and Rida in those days. Anybody know more details of this story. I often wonder if he was one of the ones saying RM was no longer considered a real rapper after he joined an idol group. I am sure becoming an object of ridicule must have stung.
@bibi2004-k8x I am not sure. I picked up the story not from a BTS source but a talk show where RM popped up in the conversation and this story was told. It was very much made to seem like the person RM battled always put RM down afterwards because he felt sore about RM being the cause of him being an object of ridicule. This was not the battle after he was part of BTS its when he was just starting out in the underground rap scene.
On RM's 2015 First Mixtape, JOKE is rapped over Original Track: “Oh My Darling (Don’t Cry)” by Run The Jewels, which is credited - fan uploaded version with EngSubs and lyric explanations - ua-cam.com/video/OxMrBNBWksM/v-deo.html It’s said that RM stated in an interview that there was no profound meaning to the lyrics and Joke was solely meant to be an auditory experience. However, I also read somewhere that RM said he wrote it after being accused repeatedly of not being a real rapper, so he made Joke to showcase that he can do various forms of rap, cadences, flow, etc. RM ends Joke with “Hit me!” Five years later, he opens BTS album, Map of the Soul: Persona, with his single track Intro: Persona, where he has the line, “hit me, try me, send it back.” He is inviting anyone to “hit” him with their best, to “try” to compete with him or test him, and he will “send it back” with an even better response to remind them of his confidence and skills…but, as far as I know, no one has. IMO, the meaning of Joke is multifaceted: (1) it means nothing and is only meant to be pleasing to the ear, (2) it auditorily shows those haters that their opinions, like the song, are the real Joke; baseless and meaningless, and that they are even bigger fools if they try to decipher a deeper meaning from the lyrics, and (3) it showcases to those haters the talent and skill that they will never have or truly understand, so their slander is groundless and holds no weight. Ultimately, Joke is a matter-of-fact, power-punched declaration to nay-sayers to say, “Hah! Joke’s on you! Come at me if you have the balls; otherwise, Bite me!” …IMO…(big smile; happy sigh)
Omg 😮😊 I saw Demi Aqua and I was clicking🫰 This is one of my most favorites by RM 💜 This was a clap back to all those haters who said he couldn't rap.. It's like a stream of consciousness lol ..

Regarding the video. RM is both the guard and the crazy patient. I’ve always took it as there’s a monster within him and he is the guard that controls the monster. And if u come for him he can release the monster 💜💜💜
I love this reactions I hope I can see some vocal line reactions soon instead of the vocal group together tho I recommend doing all one solo song from each of them 4 here are some recommendations: -Love me again by V - Running Wild by Jin - Standing next to you by Jungkook - Like crazy by jimin Thank you for reacting to bts again🙏
His making fun of rappers that don’t rap about anything by making a song just like that, that’s why the lyrics are sometimes random and he has “mini mini” and stuff. Until the end where the actually sound comes up is he being serious!! FIRE SONG!!!!!!
i love that you guys watched the mv without the lyrics and thennn watched a lyric video because i feel like people are alwaysss missing what's going on in bts's mv's because they're trying to focus on the lyrics 😭😭😭 so THANK YOUUU LMAO
DKDKTV has Korean language explanation videos for some BTS rap songs. The lyrics are so deep and nuanced with Korean cultural references, we can't understand what the song is about without this.
Its fun to know that their inspirations are people like Eminem, Snoop Dog, Biggy, 2pac, Warren G, it shows. Its why RM and Suga are so insane. They actually got to meet Warren G when they were younger and it was a nice lesson for them.
I love it when he says 'I told you I was a monster!' He got soooo much shit about being called Rap Monster that he changed it to RM. This nod back to that makes me happy. Also ....knows the lyrics? Nice one Army💜
Next *Monster* by RM please.. It's a remake/cover from Grown Simba by J.Cole I'm pretty sure you guys are gonna like itt Oh and btw the beat is originally from Oh My Darling - Run The Jewel
Put RM DO YOU ENG SUBT then when the mv comes up press cc in the bar. Its not as fast and easier to read the captions. I do not believe he made that beat. I am sure he mentioned why he used that beat
rm was DISRESPECTFULLLL with this one!! whole song basically just said “doesnt matter what lyrics i write its still better than whatever bullshit ur writing” so many petty ass lines in this songs said with his entire chest and a fire beat to back it up 😂
I love the Camera Work Transition Scene Hospital so Captatving I told y'all he Rap Monsters go Crazy y'all didn't Believe me we know how Rm is don't want mess with play with him I wouldn't do that if I were I you
Looking forward to August D reactions, esp his trilogy and would love to see your reaction to The Last, as it’s one of his most powerful songs imo. For JHope, 1verse is a masterpiece, as he doesn’t hold back,as he is usually more hopeful/sarcastic vibe, also if you check out JHope at Lollapalooza, you get a whole new appreciation for his style.
Great reaction guys i loved it BTS is great btw if they love this then yall need to rwacr to BTS MMA 2018 & 2019 lol an award show where they took over
Actually, I remember the Easter egg being that usually in their individual MVs back then, the other members show up. I believe J-Hope is the doctor, and Jimin is the nurse.
you should check out his latest album Right Place, Wrong Person. It's something you wouldn't expect from a k-pop artist and it has strong influences from artists like Tyler the Creator or Radiohead. The videos are really cinematographic too! Enjoy the music:)
See this music video is Straight Fire Comeback Bars by back to back the Tension Aggressive the Lyrics see how Everyone Respect Understand Rm he was top 1 Underdog Best Rapper World no Doubt or lie that my Opinion Im put out there as I should
ayeee nwa baby~ (we had no business playing that song at weddings as much as we did back in the day lmaooo, and when we were kids we sang along "Ashawo~" not even knowing what it meant lmaoo) anyway, thanks for the reaction, i usually don't make requests but i'd love to see ya'lls reaction to strange agust d ft. rm
And yas, maybe now suga is known in bts to rap fast but Joon is faster and joke is the proof... but Joon change his name for that, from Rap monster to RM(real me) cause he wanted to experiment with more genres than only "rap" he made a lot of genres, RM, MONO, INDIGO, RPWP and his plenty hot collabs 😏😏😏 definitely my favorite in Bts, so freaking talented
AGUST D's songs are super top, there are many, but I am more interested in your reaction to the last one of Yoongi's trilogy, it is called "amygdala" IT IS NECESSARY that you react to the translation
Army brotha know the lyrics, he the real one ! 🔥

right lmao i was surprised
The "hit me" at the end and nobody till date has stood up against this man. He is HIM.
11:10 it's a wordplay referring to the hierarchy in the rap scene…”best vagina” is “gab-jil” in korean which translates to “abusing power”

It's a remake/cover from Grown Simba by J.Cole
I'm pretty sure you guys are gonna like itt
Oh and btw the beat is originally from Oh My Darling - Run The Jewel
I can’t wait for yall to get to his songs off his new album!
You guys got to react to monster by rm, it uses a Jcole sample, but it’s his own remake
Put RM DO YOU ENG SUBT then when the mv comes up press cc in the bar. Its not as fast and easier to read the captions. I do not believe he made that beat. I am sure he mentioned why he used that beat
Aaaaaaahhhhh finally!!! Thanks to made a reaction for one of my favorite song, God bless you all guys
Fun fact: The doctor who appears is j-hope
Can't wait for BUKUBUKU😹😹 they'll love the jasmine part
rm was DISRESPECTFULLLL with this one!! whole song basically just said “doesnt matter what lyrics i write its still better than whatever bullshit ur writing” so many petty ass lines in this songs said with his entire chest and a fire beat to back it up 😂
J Hope Neuron with Gaeko and Yoonmirae . . so good. All three of BTS rappers very different.
I love the Camera Work Transition Scene Hospital so Captatving I told y'all he Rap Monsters go Crazy y'all didn't Believe me we know how Rm is don't want mess with play with him I wouldn't do that if I were I you
MONSTER and DO YOU by RM
Looking forward to August D reactions, esp his trilogy and would love to see your reaction to The Last, as it’s one of his most powerful songs imo. For JHope, 1verse is a masterpiece, as he doesn’t hold back,as he is usually more hopeful/sarcastic vibe, also if you check out JHope at Lollapalooza, you get a whole new appreciation for his style.
Namjoon biggest artistic influence is Nas and he has worked with Warren G and other old school American rappers
Remember he did that back in 2019, putting his influences in a specific range.
namjoon was not playing lmao
Great reaction guys i loved it BTS is great btw if they love this then yall need to rwacr to BTS MMA 2018 & 2019 lol an award show where they took over
Liking Flavour and BTS is maximum taste right there
Actually, I remember the Easter egg being that usually in their individual MVs back then, the other members show up.
Rms artistic influence is Nas its absolutely incredible.
NEXT, RM "THROW AWAY"
HE IS THE KINGGGGGGGGG
I love your reaction ❤
Can you please react to
'bts 2021 festa'
'Medley live '
And 'Cypher medley '
"You don't switch!" little do he know! Let me introduce you to what's called a Bias wrecker! Think he is not ready for that xD 💜
See this music video is Straight Fire Comeback Bars by back to back the Tension Aggressive the Lyrics see how Everyone Respect Understand Rm he was top 1 Underdog Best Rapper World no Doubt or lie that my Opinion Im put out there as I should
Yes guys, great reaction!!! Love Namjoon & his rapid fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I think you should listen to his 2 mvs from his new solo album GROIN. And NUTS I think you will like them!
ayeee nwa baby~ (we had no business playing that song at weddings as much as we did back in the day lmaooo, and when we were kids we sang along "Ashawo~" not even knowing what it meant lmaoo)
anyway, thanks for the reaction, i usually don't make requests but i'd love to see ya'lls reaction to strange agust d ft. rm
Heard it too! I was pleasantly surprised. The song's still a banger
Keep it real ! ❤ that! Great reaction! 🥰♥️🥰 GOD BLESS! 😇💌😇
Namjoonnnn
Liking this video in the begining itself coz I know its gonna be lit..😅
As for something to introduce you to vocal line, maybe if you do jk times square and like black swan or fake love
Yes,please
Yall should react to Suga’s song “Agust D” it’s amazing and yall gonna like it for sure
AGUST D's songs are super top, there are many, but I am more interested in your reaction to the last one of Yoongi's trilogy, it is called "amygdala" IT IS NECESSARY that you react to the translation
Please react to monster and throw it!
I followed yall on Twitch as well
