Hey, guys! Today we are shopping at the Dollar Tree for organization and decor as we work on updating spaces around my home. Plus we makeover a trouble spot in my production assistant Leslie's house that has been giving her grief for decades! There's also one of my favorite DIY pool noodle decor pieces I've ever done, and we install a thrifted lamp that you have to see!

I desperately need your help. I'm struggling getting myself out of a depression and my house is not looking good at all as a result. Now I feel overwhelmed with it and just cannot seem to get it done.
I need some pretty, yet elegant, bathroom, storage ideas for Q-tips and those floss pics that isn’t glass. Also, how do you deal with four electric plug-in toothbrushes? We only have two charging stations going at a time and then the other two toothbrushes just lay there.
Instead of hot glue, you can use double sided fabric tape to create the pleats on your lampshades. I'm actually using it to hem a dress, no sewing necessary! You can also pull it loose and reposition it a couple of times.
@SRose-vp6ew dollar tree has clear hard plastic containers with lids that look nice. I use them in my bathrooms to hold qtips, cotton balls and bath gloves (exfoliating). I even have one on the sink to hold toothpaste & toothbrush. I actually got the idea from one of Kathryn's videos a while back.

I've been through quite a bit. Cancer and a stroke. I had horrible horrible depression. Not from the cancer or the stroke. But I was married for 29 years and he decided he wanted this other woman.
But now I'm feeling better. And I really have to declutter my house is a mess. I pray that you can help me.

Those solar lights on the outside of your house would make great house numbers with either cricut vinyl numbers or even with a sharpie.

Yes that idea was done by another UA-camr just can't think who it was. And she also put in a long basket and placed on her porch if I remembered correctly
Other UA-camr used the large number sheet you can get at DT to make her house numbers
Solar lights re-charge only when the rays of the sun fall directly on the recharge cell so keep that in mind with where you place them.
I love that saying if no one has told you you are enough I probably get it wrong, but I love when you say that

Oh, the precious cats! Thank you all for helping better the lives of these cats. The cats are probably crying bc they are saying “thank you for saving us”. It’s a very happy cry not a sad cry.

i love your channel! Sometimes I watch just because you put me in a good mood. I love when I see these finds at my Dollar Tree, Im like ohhhh there it is!
I've seen and/or bought many off the things you showed. I bought the circle frames, purchased 3, spray painted where the pictures would go, then cut out words and little decor petals (from a kitchen towel I bought at Dollar Tree!) and found other items with positive reinforcement words on them. It's hung behind my desk so during video appointments with my clients (I'm a counselor) it's one of the things they see. I try to keep everything behind me that clients will see, clutter free, attractive, and motivational.
I don’t know where your store is but I’ve never seen most of the things you’re showing! And I shop 7 different stores! I’m jealous!!

I bought the clear round glass jar and the gray incense holder over a year ago and I put my hair clips, bobby pins, and hair baretts in. I got the idea off of another UA-camr. Thank you for showing it with the drinking glass, I like that as well.

I ❤ this, especially the part about using what you have. As I declutter, there are just some items I want to keep, but I don't have a use for. I have the black-tinted glasses and now I can use them for storage. I also have a vintage handle that I saved.
I declutter about 20 or 30 minutes a day and do donate or throw things out, but I have probably saved about $100, just using ideas I found on DT videos and repurposing items I found in my house. This makes decluttering fun!
I just love watching you and seeing how we can just use the "Simple Things" in life and use what we have to make our spaces in our homes come to life and be Clutter Free and Organized!!

I share a home with my family ... My husband and I have one room that is ours ( bedroom ) and a room wr use as a multi function / sitting room... I'm a great believer in using what you have and repurposing what you already have ... In addition thrifting / clearance / dollar tree and always looking for a good bargain.... Also looking around my neighborhood for furniture people are throwing out that still has good bones .... I don't have a lot of money ... I guess our bracket is low income... Still there's no reason I cannot try to have my home looking beautiful... I save for the more expensive purchases no more than 30 dollars or less ... Thank you for sharing truly budget friendly and beautiful decor ideas... It is soooo needed for us women who are limited economically... ❤

The smoke color glass is the best looking one. I mean they’re both cute but the smoke glass is my fave. wow you show a lot of cool products at dollar tree not that I can always find them. And not that I don’t or shouldn’t be going there to do some re-organizing. I just don’t have the strength or the willpower to do some of the things that I need to do, thank you for the inspiration

Fabric glue would work with the lampshade without adding excess bulk. It’s not expensive & good to keep on hand for a loose hem etc.
Feelin inspired. I made a little progress in the outside today. The less exciting work of moving rocks around and picking up dropped cactus bits with a pair of tongs 😖 Soon I can move to the inside. I need some ideas for paperwork organization

The little entry way remodel- I have found some of those DT bins that have little fabric lids attached. Those would be great to hide the clutter inside. They have plastic woven baskets with lids at my store as well, they’re just a bit smaller. Love love these ideas!!
The lamp shades look very nice, I am too paranoid about fire though. Sure it’s easy to cut off the excess fabric. I think I’m going to try it
