Hot Pad Sewing Tutorial (Using 10" Layer Cake Squares)

  • In this video tutorial, learn how to sew a hot pad using 10" squares of fabric. You could use leftover layer cake squares or cut your own 10" squares. This is a nice easy hot pad tutorial that would suit a beginner. These hot pads are ideal for your pots and pans or you could even use it as an oversized mug rug. This sewing project is fun to make and makes a great gift.

    Thanks for sharing. Why do you need the pockets though - can the squares be stitched down or does it have another purpose that I missed somehow 🤔

      You are so right, the pockets don't serve any purpose and you can stitch them down. A nice decorative stitch would look nice. This is just a quick and easy way to make a hot pad.
