      That's a lovely idea using your grandmothers curtains Cindy😊. And she will be with you whenever you use your bag.

    Thrift stores are a real bonanza for old curtains. Sheets (in good shape) make great linings too! Great tutorial. Boxing the corners would turn this into a nice grocery bag.

    • @alandacraft
      @alandacraft  Рік тому

      I absolutely wanted to box the corners, but CeNedra was adamant that she wanted a basic tote bag. I also wanted to add a contrasting fabric panel at the top or the bottom, but she didn't want that either. 😊

    Can you make a tutorial that shows how to iron a boxed bottom tote bag. I am finding it hard to iron one, especially the ones that are made out of canvas which wrinkles easily. Thanks.

    Great instructions! The fabric you used was so pretty! I often make totes as gift bags that can be used to hold the gift and to tote anything later! Groceries, books, snacks, sleepover pjs. etc.

    • @alandacraft
      @alandacraft  Рік тому +4

      Thank you 😊. This is a Juki 2010Q. A lot of home machines will manage to handle this. I have previously made tote bags on a Janome and a Singer. But I do have a Brother Dream Machine that really balks at bulk.
