About that contract that Vinnie Refused to sign business, let me explain. So every single member of the tour crew (Which includes the band members themselves) has to sign a contract, which in return means: - That they will be insured during that said tour. - Will receive proper payment for their services for the full duration of that tour. - Will be properly taken care of, have a bed to sleep in and enough to eat during the tour. Vinnie let his contract expire, which meant that the band was basically touring with an uninsured employee and basically had to pay for hotel stays out of their own pockets. But by letting it expire he also basically gave away any legal ownership of the songs he co-wrote. After Unmasked came out it was a total "what are they doing" time. Couldn't defend the album, didn't like it. Then, the Elder comes out a year later and by then, 20 other bands had stolen their thunder. When Creatures came out, most of us Kiss fans weren't even sure if we wanted to buy it. This was before Mtv played Kiss and radio didn't play Kiss and you couldn't just open a copy and listen to it before purchase. So after getting burned twice it was like not gonna buy it until I start hearing what's on it type vibe. That's why it sold poorly and that's why not many concert tickets were sold. if ya think about it ......... the Creatures album cover artwork ....... It tends to be a darker, easier to overlook album compared to Love Gun or Alive II or Dynasty etc. Those were more in your face as to where Creatures was sorta like a warm whisper visually. Yet you have Screaming for Vengeance, Bold Colorful, Number of the Beast, Ozzy , etc. Creatures cover looks visually a bit dreary kinda. I would think this could also play into random customers having no interest.
I personally think that both new line-up make-up was awesome and fresh. The problems weren't with the band itself it was the problems within the band and finding the right fit. Eric was a perfect replacement for Peter... but replacing Ace was a bit more troublesome. ( Vinnie/ Mark St. John ) Until his permanent with Bruce.
Vinnie was inspired by military that's why he suggested the name. Later he named his band Invasion, it's military. It has to do with finding motivation and strategies.
This episode in particular was hilarious. But any time Vinessa Vincent is bagged on is hilarious. On a side note the font used for Vinnie Vincent on the click page is wicked cool.

Before I went, I heard the rumor of cancellation, but I couldn't get that confirmed no matter how many ticket agencies nor radio stations I phoned. No one knew, one way or the other. So I went anyway. It was cancelled, I later got my ticket refunded. The Vinnie/Eric line-up was amazing, both for Creatures and for Lick It Up. Every venue was decimated. Massacred. Eric was WW3. Vinnie was an amazing technical talent on the fretboard, but severely lacked flavor, charisma, and overall taste in his solos. Ace allegedly never took a music lesson, but he could make that guitar sing and speak to the listener. In a way that could reach their heart.
It amazes me how P n G talk so much shit on Vinnie- but THEY are the ones who hired him! Vinnie basically wrote or co- wrote EVERY FKNG SONG ON LICK IT UP, and that album put them right back in the public eye and radio stations began to play KISS; yet, they talk shit on Vinnie.. If vinnie hadnt been born, kiss would be resting in peace since 1980. He actually resurrected kiss twice. Its no surprise that Creatures, Lick it up, and Revenge are possibly in the top 5 best kiss albums.
Vinnie is a great songwriter, but like alot of musicians, things can be different when dealing with them personally. If didn't like the contract, he should have just quit on the spot.

Always, listen to what that audience wants. Always.
Also kiss had died because they were a kiddie band at the time.
Until people saw Vinnie and saw how cool he was.
Then they skyrocketed to the top again.
Because Vinnie did it.
@@DrMidnight-oz1rk I can tell you werent around back then. Nice try fanboy. 🙄
@@monty4336 I met Kiss in person in 1974 at a radio station before they became famous with Kiss Alive.
I got autographed pictures and talked to them, I told them that I heard of them but didn't have their records.
Then we left the radio station and just threw their autographed pictures in the trash.
@@DrMidnight-oz1rk Yeah, Kool for you. Let me guess, you also hung out with them lots and have zero evidence, we should just take your word for it over the internet. 🙄
Loved KISS as a kid, forgot about them for 20 yrs, picked them up again after the MTV unplugged album, really enjoyed that. Never really knew much about VV. But my first impression is “Man, what a weirdo.”
These new fans don't understand, they were damn near forgotten!!
Great!! If you can - keep 'em coming. There's still 35+ of their story to cover.
Freu mich schon drauf!👍
Das freut mich zu hören!
Lick it up is their hardest and best album because of Vinnie..Every song kicks ass..I can't say that about any of their other albums..
100%. Lick it up, then resurrected them again with revenge.
Creatures!
You’re not gonna believe Creatures when you actually hear it
Lick it up? Lmao
The album stinks compared to DESTROYER
Wow this is great just found your channel, new subscriber!
if ya think about it ......... the Creatures album cover artwork .......
So glad to have you back! Been waiting a long time for the next part! Thanks so much! Keep up the killer work!
There is another new Episode, which came out before this one.
I cannot hear Rock bottom without hearing a sob story in the back of my head now 🤣🤣🤣
🤣😂😅
I personally think that both new line-up make-up was awesome and fresh. The problems weren't with the band itself it was the problems within the band and finding the right fit. Eric was a perfect replacement for Peter... but replacing Ace was a bit more troublesome. ( Vinnie/ Mark St. John ) Until his permanent with Bruce.
Paul criticizing Vinny on his “cartoon name” is so ironically funny given his whole persona.
Vinnie was inspired by military that's why he suggested the name.
Later he named his band Invasion, it's military.
It has to do with finding motivation and strategies.
"Mick Fury" it would be funny if Vinnie suggested "Mick Foley" instead 😆
Alternate universe : Vinnie Vincent became wrestler.
Great job 👌🏻
This episode in particular was hilarious. But any time Vinessa Vincent is bagged on is hilarious. On a side note the font used for Vinnie Vincent on the click page is wicked cool.
Thanks! Sorry, but I don't remember the Name of the Font. But it fit perfect for Vanessa's (lol) little Project
I seen Creatures of the night tour in Toronto ! It was better then animalize a year later. War machine was a pretty heavy tune and the set looked like a huge tank turret on the drums blowing out speakers !
Excellent video, I just discovered your channel, thank you 👍🏼…..🤘🏼
Glad to hear!
My first concert was creatures in Charleston west virginia, churches were protesting outside, show was half empty, it was a great show but i was shocked ace was gone he waa my favorite. Vinnies solo sas incredibly long and yes everyo e levt to smoke, eat, or get drinks
Nice work man!
Finally! I love your kiss vids more than anyone's. Of course I know all this stuff, but the way you put it together and edit it is just funny and makes it all new again. Please, don't make us wait so long next time and go through the entirety of kiss. I want to see your hilarious videos about end of the road. I can only imagine the lip syncing. I'll even give you an idea for it, when you have Paul saying he doesn't lip sync, have the cartoon Paul in your video saying it with his lips out of sync. 🤣🤣🤣
Creatures, one of their best albums and only one that felt like actual Heavy Metal but tour was weaker than Unmasked or Dynasty. I don't even know if they toured for the Elder. Lick it up was a decent comeback but wasn't the same guys that had done the first 6 or 7 albums.
Why doesn't KISS make Tommy Thayer wear the Vinnie Vincent costume instead of stealing the Spaceman, after all Paul Stanley came up with the VV makeup?...lol
Amazing Idea... or Turtle Boy
Vinnine was the real life Sammi Curr. Poor Gene and Paul made a Faustian Deal wih Vinnie Cridicts be dammed I'd still say it WAS WORTH IT!
COTN is a top 5 KISS album for me.
Great video again
Every band member to wear make-up should have had a unique design, period.
9:27 - "Your're in your 30's now, do you feel slightly ridiculous appearing like this in public anymore?"
40 years later.........
This is a very creative presentation.. Good job!!
Man, you're the best
Thank you !
...Bol!, I just want a TV -Ace Is too Cool!!!
Crazy good...😎
and here's the Vinnie Vincent invasion album and yes, I own both albums

That Ace laugh at 1:48 caught me off guard 😂
Vinnie is one of those people who I believe everything bad about him because it's not just Gene and Paul who say it. Pretty much everyone who's ever worked with him says he was a complete tool
He's more talented than all those people put together though.
All of them put together never in hundreds of years could they write anything as good as V.V
@@drmidnight2419 if he's so talented then how come his entire career consists of two years with Kiss and a band that almost everyone has forgotten? Seems to me that someone with real talent would have a lot more to show for it. Instead he's spent the last 30 plus years milking those things for all theyre worth
@@PinkyJujubean his V.V. records were great, I listen to them all the time. Also check out his music with Laura Nero.
Nowadays Vinnie has even more videos than Kiss, he's getting more popular as people are starting to see that he was a great songwriter and will be bigger than Kiss.
A lot of great bands failed due to bad promotion, ect
@@drmidnight2419 his band failed because he kept jerking the record label around and because his band mates didn't wanna deal with his difficult behavior
@@PinkyJujubean he didn't fail, his records sold.
It was bad promotion, bad people.
He, I think also ripped some people off and may be that he took on too much work for himself and couldn't get it done.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 thank you very very much....!!!!!
Mark slaughter, appice etc etc all said that vinnie was just impossible
Vinnie était Égocentrique, donc impossible de travailler avec. Mais un excellent guitariste.
DOOOOOD..thank you
11:09 I saw the Creatures Tour (w Night Ranger)in Portland, Maine (Front/on barrier. & I was interviewed for TV); Worcester, Mass (no pyro!); and yes I took risked $12 bus ride to Providence Rhode Island, bringing my $12 KISS ticket to the cancelled-after-all show. Vinnie was lethal injection.
(Later in '83, I saw the Lick It Up tour (w Heavy Pettin, & Helix): once in England; two cities in Scotland. In '84 I saw Lick It Up in: Worcester Mass; and in Conneticut.) And later in 1984 I saw Animalize in two cities in Scotland.
Vinnie was an amazing technical talent on the fretboard, but severely lacked flavor, charisma, and overall taste in his solos.
Ace allegedly never took a music lesson, but he could make that guitar sing and speak to the listener. In a way that could reach their heart.
Gene and Paul should have treated Ace better. Maybe then, he would have stayed.
brilliant
I used to have a silver 924 like the one at 0:40. 👍
That lineup of Gene, Paul, Vinnie, n Carr is awesome! They put up with so much shit from Peter n Ace, but had zero tolerance for Vinnie. It all makes no sense. They could've ruled the world once again if they kept that lineup intact..
Still waiting for "Turtleboy"!!
6:35 yeah. It’s called valium.
I don’t feel bad for Gene and Paul in regards to Vinnie , Carmine Appice warned them that Vinnie could be trouble, but they hired him anyway.
Lotta rumors n whispers, but truly an American success story, devil it's due
..& still revisit my KISS records. Bought my first one at 4 in 1978, well my relative gave it to me.
If vinnie hadnt been born, kiss would be resting in peace since 1980. He actually resurrected kiss twice. Its no surprise that Creatures, Lick it up, and Revenge are possibly in the top 5 best kiss albums.
Lmao
Vinnie is a great songwriter, but like alot of musicians, things can be different when dealing with them personally. If didn't like the contract, he should have just quit on the spot.
Creatures still rocks. Top all time KISS album for me!
Here's some footage of Vinnie preforming at Creatures Fest ua-cam.com/video/-FHMHGphIhM/v-deo.html
On ne voit Rien, c est trop loin 👎
Onde eu descobri no Brasil ❤
Estou muito feliz em ouvir isso! Saudações da Alemanha
11:03 - This was a gut-buster. I loved the soap-opera muzak coupled with those dancing yahoo's trying to be hip 'cuz it was DA EIGHTIES! - Michael Jackson almost made me spit out my coffee. I swear the 80s dance bullshit was a lot worse than disco - hipsters trading their 3-piece suits for work-out shorts and headbands. Christ, I hated everything about the 80s.
VINNY ONLY ONE WITH BALLS AN TALENT SPEAKS FOR ITSELF
Paul is so full of himself
Vinnie maybe as good as those epic guys but he wasn’t able to focus and blend in with KISS. It was true that he would solo for 4 minutes while Gene and Paul stood to the side looking annoyed . Vinnie was great. I wish he could have stayed in the band longer
Were people afraid to come tell you no one was in the hall before you hit the stage? 😁 I can sympathize..KISS may have gotten off track for a few albums but a lot of people were missing out on a great show in '82. Edit: fabulous opening acts included
I loved the 10th Anniversary tank shows I saw with Vinnie and Eric , God rest his soul
The Tank tour was my 1st rock concert period, along with being the only KISS show ( out of 24) that I saw with them in makeup. The non makeup years were really " my " KISS era.
@@careful...Icarus My first concert was Crazy Nights, I was 15, saw them twice on Hot In The Shade, and on the reunion tour. I wish I could have seen them with VV.
Ironic back then, KISS was considered Satanic yet it was FINE to let Your 12 Year Old Daughter Listen to Brittany Spears. 🙄🤣
🤣😂😆
1:06 The shirt on V.V. 'NO ACE NO PETER NO PROBLEM'
Gotta pause it quick.
It is Merch from 3 SIDES OF THE COIN ;)
It's a Brazillian who made this montage?
