Carr was such a fabulous person and drummer. I didn't get excited about him, though, until Creatures. Hearing that album, my jaw dropped. It was so sad, the day he died. I thought then that was it for me and KISS, to be honest. Then I heard Revenge...my jaw again dropped. That was the last real KISS album for me. Carnival of Souls? Grunge. Oh hell no. Psycho Circus was okay. Sonic Boom, too. But they both lacked something special. Then there was Monster. Ugh. No, to me, KISS ended not long after they got a second rebirth in 1992, right around 1996 when the reunion happened.
The Porsche 924 was the first Porsche to have an engine in the front. It didn't go over so well hence the horrible resale value. I remember my friend in high school was given one by his dad whom had a budget used car lot when we were 16. It sucked! But we were 16 with a Porsche but even by 1989 those cars had dropped in value to $2000.00. Eric Carr should've said, "no way cheap ass Paul Stanley, I want the Porsche 911." The 911's are iconic and still worth $20 grand if not more.

I listened to Scorpions in highschool and even jammed on some of it but eventually graduated to lead guitar and Scorpions knocked Kiss and the rest out and became my favorite for many years. Paul is talking about they couldnt get him because they wanted a Nobody to come out of nowhere, an Unknown. - Anton was only known for what he did later & later in the 80s the talk about he was the Unknown that filled in for peter in the studio. In otherwords ........ He WAS A nobody in 1980 but becmes much much bigger thru the years
Looking back it would have been perfect for Eric to take on the cat makeup and immediately set the tone for the 4 iconic characters. The band could have then gone on forever and I believe the fans would have accepted it much more at the time compared to now where a small percentage of original fans post incessantly about their displeasure.
@@kissdiaries I loved it too and was excited as a kid to see Eric as the fox. I just think looking long-term, as we discovered, they couldn’t keep bringing in new characters. The original 4 guys really created something special and those faces became iconic.
@@vaekkriinhart4347 it is interesting how Eric S is much more accepted in the makeup than Tommy with Ace’s. I was a huge Ace fan in the 70s and followed him as he went solo for years. One thing I wish, and I’m sure many might strongly disagree, I wish Tommy took on the full persona of Ace. I want to see the sloppy walking, the holding back to the side, really fully be that role. Seeing Tommy move around more energetic really confuses that burned in image Ace created in my mind. I mean, if your going to wear the makeup, Gene and Paul should have insisted the part be fully played.
