Fender Custom Shop Jaguar/Bass VI Doubleneck Demo (Say It Ain't So)

- I'm still blown away by this 2001 Fred Stuart-made Custom Shop creation. I keep thinking about offloading some gear and seeing if I can take this one home, which is utterly shocking to me. Anyway, here's how it sounds (good) through a Line 6 DL4 Mk II and my trusty Satellite Helion amp with a 15" speaker. Perfect combo all around.
For more information about this Doubleneck, see my Instagram post: www.instagram....

Dude, Im just saying...if we both sell one of our kidneys we could take this thing home and have joint custody! you are amazing my friend!
Hell, I’m down to chip in!
This would be an excellent pairing of offset dads.
I need to see the two of them play it together at the same time. Like “Ghost” with Patrick Swayze.
@@ZacharyWThomas Maybe at Guitar House Season 2? lol.
Your face at the end says it all! 😀
I was so, so happy with that thing. What a fun instrument
Every time you've posted this across socials ... I've winced. In both excitement, and horror. It must weigh A LOT
13.7lbs which is a lot, but somehow totally comfortable for me on a strap. Something about two necks makes my brain go “it’s two 7lb guitars”
Dude pointing at the butterfly meme "is that a Fender XII?"
Oh my god lol
Underrated comment. I giggled.
Mike in his happy place.
Smile at the end says it all!
Got the Cozart 4/6 doubleneck.
Standard scale length on the guitar neck and a 30" short scale bass neck. My favorite instrument in my collection (don't tell my 7 string ;)
I didn’t even know such beauty could exist.
I knew it was going to brilliant! was cool to hear it through the walls that day. Go mike!
Someone looked happy!
When someone says you can only play one instrument for the next of your live and you uno reverse card them with this.
honestly love your rendition better than the studio version. this thing sounds excellent
Too kind! I could never stack up to the original, feedback cut of that song!
you are just beaming guy.you and me both..going to grab one of those VI's as soon as i see one locally.
Hell yeah, Mike!
Flip on the telly, wrestle with Jimmy
Super rad! Never seen that kind of double neck before.
sweet jebus, that was glorious Mike!
phenomenal as usual Mike :)
BRAVO Mike. Really cool Jag/VI. Is it yours? Or is it for sale? Actually, nevermind. Either way it won't be mine. I am very happy for you or whomever owns it in the near future.
Brilliant !!
That was killer
YAH YOU DID
Awesome 👌
Cor! What a beauty!
I must have!
jeezo! that's sweet as
This sounds so amazing! As are you!
:O MIKE!!! :O is that a buzz stop? JUDAS!!! Xxx
Have you seen the Japanese fender jaguar special hh or covered it in a video? Great guitar but almost nobody talks about it.
Hi Mike! Have you ever played fender Jaguar thinline MIJ? What are your thoughts about thinline offsets in general?
I have! I love the thinline sound, and they usually play quite nicely. Same issues as other MIJ/CIJ offsets with hardware and very bright pickups prone to feedback. Otherwise, I think they're great.
That is insane, dude!!!
Was this a Carlos Lopez creation? The pictures of his work, were alway my favorite to look at over the years.
uhhhhhhhhhhh YES PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
That is awesome!!!!!!! I was just thinking the other day if the custom shop ever did a precision or jazz and a bass vi double neck!! Where did you get this epic instrument? Are there any more? The jaguar on top is cool, I would love to see one with a vi top and p or j bottom.
Sounds awesome brother
How much do we need to crowdfund for you to buy this?
That thing is sick!!!
❤️!!!
Mike with a buzz stop?
I never read the whole title, now I even think that guitar is even cooler. I thought originally that it was two guitars with two different scale lengths and two different pick up configurations.
That look at the end is one of a man who's wondering how many organs he can sell to fund this guitar...
Looks very pleasing but can't think about the weight(:
If The Thing ever decides to wipe out guitar players, I think this is a shape it will take.
things a tank holy
One for the ultra hipster.
By your face, you can clearly see you are enjoying yourself, but that guitar looks like it’s going to eat you. It’s so big!
yikes, it is weird!
The simultaneous joy and sadness in Mike’s face at the end when he realizes how much he loves this thing and how insanely unaffordable it is.
The Bass VI is one of the best sounding and looking instruments I heard and looked at in my entire life. When I heard it on The Green Manalishi live recording by Fleetwood Mac which they performed in 1970 and you can find it in the Live at the Boston Tea Party record I was shocked at how amazing it sounded. Peter Green played the Bass VI on the extended live version, such great playing and tone. Has to be the best offset instrument.
Hands down favorite song of all time. The new Orleans live at the warehouse version is also pure magic
I don't think I've ever seen a guitar with two tremelo arms.
yo. YO. YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
So cool!
now play some pinback songs !
I wish I’d thought of that during the brief window of time I had with it! I love Pinback
This looks so uncomfortable to play
And carry. Does it come in a case with wheels?
I saw your collaboration with nisebelle. I'm very curious if there is a way to set up/mod a Squire Bass VI to function similarly to a hybrid guitar like Charlie Hunter plays? Any advice or info would be great! thanks!!!
Where is the deep dive video on this?
Patience! ;)
Fabulous! What guage is on the V1 please Mike?
Who has one of these built for them and puts a buzz stop on it lol
I pity the poor tech that has to rewire this one.
Want!
This is perfect. I love how absurd this thing is.
That was lit
Whenever I see these double neck offsets, they always seem to have a buzz stop. Is there any reason to why? Can it not be set up properly like a normal offset?
Now that's a serious laptop control central flight deck if I've ever seen one! I'm going to have to play a Jag one day...have never tried one out
A double heapin helpin from Mike this weekend. In more than one way.
Oh hell yeah. So glad you made this video.
I’m just glad I have a record of that time I played something so weird and fun!
Demo was good but whatever happened at 0:52 sucked! For real that thing sounds great and id listen to it all day
That’s the face you make when you realize you’ve been hit by a double whammy
Life’s Good
Sounds Great. does one have 24" and the other 25.5" neck?
The Jag is a 24” and the Bass Vi is a short scale bass at 30”
0:49 We happy?
Oh we happy
