There's a deep sadness to this one. I think it has something to do with the innocence of the children speaking confidently about a very complex subject, coupled with the backing music. Regardless of your beliefs, it harkens back to a time where things seemed less complicated.
Same, I don't think it matters whether you're religious or not. All that counts IMO is the music and the effect it has on your heart and soul. Track reminds me a bit of Sun Rod by Akira Yamaoka, an ambient, kinda hurtfully emotional track with deep pads and all the way through, some woman is reciting a religious text (of a fictional religion). Quite a powerful tune. I think he was influenced heavily by BoC & the ambient tracks from Trent Reznor/NIN. I defo recommend his stuff if you like the deep & emotional BoC tunes. Same goes for some NIN tracks, especially Ghosts IV - Track 30 IMO, and the tracks he made for the movie Gone Girl.
I played it during my mother's funeral yesterday, my dad and my other family members were thoroughly impressed with my unscripted speech. It's worth it, but I'm gonna miss my mom.
I feel you. Our "Westie" passed away a couple of days ago and this song immediately popped in my head as I witnessed the entire process until his very last breath. The reason his passing evoked this tune in my head probably has to do with how I , or we, view pets - they're very childlike and innocent until the very end.
If you look deep into it, Geogaddi questions every perspective of religion. From the one track that whispers "A god with horns... A god with hooves" to the actual name of the album itself Geo= Earth Gad= Run Di= Twice They have such deep and meaningful thoughts and hidden messages. It's an adventure to even listen to.

This is why children speak so certainly about God: they were just with Him before they came into existence, so God's essence is still lingering with them. Simply put and as far as I know, the Japanese have a different view on Christianity. It's a minority religion there, only about 1% of the population is Christian. So perhaps it's because they interpret this song in a different way than people from the much more Christianity-influenced Western world would do.
