That's why I put no carbon fibre bits on my M package. I know I would only drive myself mad worrying about scratching it. I actually like all that cheap looking plastic for that reason. I also worry about the bike paint and like to keep it dry - not so easy in western Ireland but I manage to do it.
I got a cheap electric Lifan E3 scooter to hack around town in and I have no problem using it in wet weather as its mostly plastic bodywork. But even that I don't want scratched or damaged. I guess some people are like that. Its the same for my cars, jeep and other motorbikes.
Got my passenger pegs if you still need a set and I'm sure I'll be a heck of lot better than stock prices. It's from a 2022 s1000rr and I just took them off last weekend.
I own the same bike. 2022 M Package with the Carbon Package. I completely understand the sediment of being stressed about any little scratch on a $30k bike. $500 First Service kinda hurts a bit too.
I kinda feel yah. I have the same bike and I took the time to clear bra everything. Also get all kinds of crash protection. Sliders, case covers etc. As far as rare, it seems the M package is the most popular model at least around here.
I have the basic protection spots, but I have thought about the clear protectants like you have. I've seen them turn yellow which is why I never did it though. How's yours? And yes, the M is def popular in some areas, but still stands out in a group at bike night!
@@SethMichael i bought the high quality 3m stuff. Doubt it turns yellow, but you can always peel it and go with new stuff after a few years. Besides the sun would be the only thing to yellow it and I assume you park it in a garage.
Possibly. I tried to get it done from two shops and they both said, "if you're worried about rock chips or stuff bouncing from other cars, ceramic coating won't protect you from that"
Any issue with warranty work with the Bren tune? This dead spot is killing me lol. My 22 M sport is only 3 months old so part of me want to wait a year to see if any issues develop but of course the evil side of me says fuck it buy it now.
You will have to flash back to stock before taking it to dealer for warranty work. The Bren tune is a must and I will have one waiting in a box for after my service is done. Picking up a ‘22 M Package hopefully next week.
I have stage 1 which made a huuuuge difference. It's a must. Talk to your local shop to see what they say about the tune and warranty. In the states, by law, aftermarket parts can't automatically void the warranty. They'd have to prove that the mod caused the issue you're taking it in for warranty for.
People in my area are lame! I haven’t had one person come up to talk to me about my S1000RR since I bought it a year ago LOL! I have had kids wave and give me the thumbs up though, but that’s it.

I appreciate it man. I actually purchased the set shortly after getting the bike.

Yes, for sure! Then we see the guys on a 2007 CBR just living life with zip ties and dirty wheels. Looks like they're having so much fun!! 😂

That’s not true there is ppf that self heals with heat. It specifically made to protect against scratches and debris.

Hey man, can you tell me where you got your headers for the stock akrapovic exhaust that comes with the bike?
I ordered mine through my local dealer, Euro Cycles of Tampa Bay.
I love riding in the rain with my 2021 BMW M S1000RR. I fully disagree with you regarding riding in the rain as I LOVE IT VERY MUCH

You paid over $1000 for passenger pegs?? Wtf? eBay brother?
What windshield you got on it?
This is the double bubble that was ordered through BMW.
You worry about your bike I worry about you....you're my baby! ❤

Not everyone can appreciate these things! lol. Rev it up for the kids though!
