I had no idea about this show and caught wind of it in my feed and absorbed season 1 within 48 hours..id say its A: amazing and B: the next lost / officially blown up
Good point made about Ethan possibly being protected from the demons. It explains why Victor has been able to survive so long and also explains why Sara got that message to "kill the boy" on her arm. Makes sense. I think Ethan is going to be key in getting the people free from this place.
7:31 The very 1st jukebox song has at least 2 meanings too: In Ep 1, at the exact moment when little girl Megan is swinging, the song lyrics predict the future:: *“you’ll be dead before your time is through”.* (she was murdered soon after). Also in Ep 1, in the SAME SONG, other lyrics foreshadow & allude to people in the town wanting to *“get out of this place.”* Song title *“We've Gotta Get Out Of This Place” by The Animals.*
Thanks for your analysis. You observed countless details. What I find interesting: The show describes itself not as supernatural horror, but as science-fiction horror.
You had a great breakdown to this show, I just got finished watching both of your videos you definitely can get a head of the market the show is really interesting. You have excellent tapes and there's not much I disagree with
Just rewatching the series and haven't read all the comments, but when Sarah got the message, it sure did look like worms in her arm so maybe there is a back story with that.
Her shirt is not the Chinese Zodiac, In episode 5 when she is talking to Jade you can see it very clearly. It has the Yin/Yang symbol in the middle, but the symbols and zodiac signs are Western Astrology, not Chinese , the western zodiac also coincides with planets, constellations, seasons, elements, mythology, tarot cards etc.... so there might still be a chance it plays a part
Correct! I also caught that on episode #5 where the shirt is more visible. The Chinese also have a similar zodiac system which uses animals to represent each sign. It would've been a cool connection with the snake paintings and the dog appearances. It would still also be cool if Western/celestial zodiac signs end up still playing a part as you say.
When Boyd finds the talismans the cave has no door, yet the monsters don't go in and kill him. However, the doors and windows need to be shut for them to protect other locations. An error in plot or intentional? Also, I'd like to know if they can make more or write the symbols in houses to give protection.
Do you have a blog or forum where you also post your analysis and theories? Love this style of analysis so I'd love for there to be somewhere that's focused on the folklore/ mythological/ psychological aspects (too many "computer simulation / video game" theories on the subreddits)
It seems to only be young boys who can see the boy in white, although once they see him it doesn't look like they grow out of it, Victor can still see him.
I love this show, but I think this assessment could read in to too much. Ill watch all of these, but as creators of Lost, it would not surprise me for curveballs in plot to throw these ideas out the window. I appreciate your thought out ideas about the talismans and gave me thought to them as I never knew
have a kind of unconventional comparison / theory of what it may turn out to have a plot similar to. Obviously Victor is central to the plot and I think it may turn out to be a situation similar to what happened in the 2nd season of Dirk Gentley's Holistic Detective Agency only swap out the fantasy realm for a Nightmare pocket universe created accidently by trauma + kid with "the shining" with ties to the real world that open under special circumstances much like the covered bridge from "N054A2" The "monsters" give me vibes of The True Knot group from Doctor Sleep only swap out Steam for flesh. Actually I could totally imagine this town existing within the "N054A2" universe with the town turning out to be an inscape created by Victor who is a "true creative" aka "shines" just like Manx created Christmasland. And people who wind up there were all traveling with at least one person who also "shines" and is probably unaware of their abilities.
Einstein rosen bridge. Jade says it to himself in an epiphany after he realizes the place is for real. I think that’s how they all got there from seperate points, and I think that’s why the far away trees work. I even suspect the things could be coming out of the far away trees at night from wherever they are.
@@FromLand heck yeah, new sub got rec'd 1 of your vids and ended up bingeing the whole 1st sea in anticipation for sea 2! Nerdily excited to chat theories lol.
i hope they are vampires and not fey because fey fuckery is a level of grimdark that makes shit like berserk look like barney playhouse adventures what they will do to you for fun and outta boredom death by vampire is better in every way.
What an underrated show. This channel is filling the void of content for this show out there ! I hope the show and this channel blow up!
Thank you!! 🙏🏻 I really hope this show is really successful and gives us many seasons.
I couldn't agree more wildly underrated

Nice bro keep them coming this show is amazing and finding videos about them is very scarce

Good job! Thank you for the upload. You are very good! Keep doing it!
Thank you!!

good video. I will continue with the rest of them. Great job!!!
Man your content is killing it you bought a subscriber here man
Thank you! I'm happy you enjoy the content! 🙏
Those rocks on the door were Norse runes with the symbol of protection on them.
Does anyone else think the boy in white is Thomas?
He looks exactly like Ethan
Another great take on the show.

It did look like worms but also looked like the classic possession trope where a message appears on skin.
Great recap!!!
Such an amazing think tank! Mazes and elves and fae…oh my
Fantastic video, I'm subbed. Please keep them coming.
Thank you!! :)

One thing is that on Sarah's arm it doesn't tell her to kill Ethan. It tells her to "kill the boy"!! It could be any boy!!

Thanks! I’m working on a portal: “FromLand.com” and thinking of creating a Discord channel. Would you be interested in the latter?
@@FromLand Definitely! A Discord would be excellent!

Hmmmmmm. The date Jim & his family went missing = 2/20/2022. It's the same sequence of numbers forward and backward

Did anyone mention the drawing behind Julies bed???🤷🏾♂️🤔🤔🤔🤔
I'm playing God of War Ragnarok now, and I'm seeing all these familiar names and symbols
maybe dogs in this episode are reference to the wild hunt of Odin
what day does a new epi air?
Every Sunday on Epix. You can also watch it on Prime Video.
How does
"And there is a song for you
Ink on a pin
Underneath the skin"
Reference hell?
The rest of the song says “Everybody's saying that hell's the hippest way to go
Well I don't think so…”
@@FromLand thank you
I kept saying that!!! The boy in white is protecting him and the crows are scared of the the boy in white..
Covering it this season?
Yes :)

Wait so Sara wasn’t with her brother when she went missing?
I think it’s just they probably had separate missing posters. We saw the same in the case of Boyd me Ellis (they both had separate missing posters).
@@FromLand yeah but in them they mentioned that they were with family. Sara’s doesn’t say anything about her brother.
@@jalissa216The missing poster for Donna doesn't mention her sister, but the one for Ellis does mention his parents.
@@FromLand I was actually getting ready to ask you about Donna. I think that’s interesting, but it could be just production mistakes.
spell that out for me "resus rune representing forces of chaos" I can't google that
It’s called the Thurisaz rune.

could the boy in white be thomas
All of the images of the missing people came from the show. Are the showrunners that lazy? Or is this important?
