What if the nature of the universe is that it is created by consciousness - kind of like, reality emerges out of our subconscious memories, expectations, observations, and so on. BUT - when you have billions and billions of people, all of those random elements 'average out' to something, such that it becomes stable, consistent, and predictable - as we see in our universe. This is kind of like how a money system or stock market becomes stable when a lot of people use it, and wild when only a few are using it. What has happened to these characters is that they have fallen into a pocket dimension - a small bubble of spacetime where they are isolated. This pocket of spacetime works the same as our universe, but has far fewer observers. With so few observers, they are closer to being in a superposition, and with so few consciousnesses, reality is more wild, inconsistent, and unstable. Kids were some of the first here, which is why the wires simply go into the ground - kids didn't know what was beyond that.

The writers recently did an interview that makes it make sense, they are changing it as they go.

Well that was a waste of time

I liked your point of view, specially comparing FROM with Severance. It was something that I was thinking about some days ago. FROM and SEVERANCE both are based on the same plan, but in different genre and narration. Both series are based on Psychological dream theories and both are talking about DENIAL people always are deep into their ego, doesn't want to accept their own faults, face with their own weakness and fix the problem, and its just because of that Ego thing stands in between. Remember of the Pilot Episode of FROM, when we see Kenny and Kristi for the first time, standing by the clinic and talking each other, Kenny has a golden dialogue in that scene I have mentioned in one of my review breakdowns on my channel: Denial is a part of our Family Tree now and this denial is from different aspects in a human's life: in FROM : all are fighting to keep their own dirty little secrets, and want to stay on their own old past beliefs. and you see there is a dialogue you always hear from all characters specially in this new season, season 3: Doubt is the dominant theme in the series right now in SEVERANCE: they all have came to that company by their own choice to forget about their outies when they are at work, and they have two different lives at the same time. we see Mark is crying in the car for his wife, and as he enters the company, everything changes and he cant remember of his pain anymore, instead, they have a party for their new comer colleague making fun at work. in both series, finally they find out of something else, there is a paradox and it must be solved. and for a creator the main matter is Catharsis, which is the most important fact of a movie or drama in connection with audiences which I think I have to make a review on that too. I enjoyed your review, very good and important fact you mentioned on.💯👍
