The funny thing is, before Sonic Frontiers came out, there was another Speed Platformer game, Spark The Electric Jester 3 (Which is amazing and needs more recognition), that had this same exact kind of speedrunning glitch. I guess speed platformers going forward will inevitably have this glitch if there's even an ounce of momentum in the game lol
Ok, you got to do Battle rush cause if Ya didn't know you get a reward for S ranking everything. I don't wanna say exactly what it is if you don't know. But it involves cyberspace & the game encourages you to use the Homing dash For A REASON!!! And the asterisk for the homing dash makes even more sense.
You have me extremely hyped! I was actually gonna make a video on the Battle Rush very soon! Hopefully I can get to it in time. The reward for getting A-S ranks in the Cyber Space challenges was already really cool, so I can’t wait to see what you’re talking about!
@@StickmanGuides It's kinda like BOTW, I tend to enjoy breaking the game once everything is pretty much done and I'm trying to squeeze every ounce of enjoyment from the game
Lmao, I definitely feel called out for using it, but Kishimoto mentioned that it doesn’t make a difference whether or not use the homing dash. Mostly just a way to distinguish between speed runners using it and those who aren’t imo.
@@StickmanGuides cool, another question though rq, with the combat move wild rush, it feels kinda slow so does it stack with your attack level or is it always at the same speed
Minor correction: you actually don’t even need to jump to pull it off!

That game is criminally underrated I agree! I plan to cover that on the channel someday as well. And I find that funny too
@@StickmanGuides that's great to know
It has nothing to do with momentum. It has everything to do with having a homing attack while also having a dash move!

Just make sure to level up sonic
I really like the use of the asterisk for magnet dash times here.
They can't blame me, it's not my fault I need the homing dash to make the stages fun
Don't worry, nothing wrong with pulling it off! It's a meaningless symbol at the end of the day :)

Nice vid bro
Thanks dude!
I gotta love how they put a * when you use homing dash, they're like 'yo, you cheated, and we know who you are!'

Also i have the powerboost in cyberspace and i cant really gauge how much faster it is compared to the regular boost, what do you think?
It’s definitely faster! Sometimes it can make a huge difference. Other times it only feels slightly faster. It depends
@@StickmanGuides cool, another question though rq, with the combat move wild rush, it feels kinda slow so does it stack with your attack level or is it always at the same speed
Actually, I think that asterisk is like marking an cheating attempt. My guess
The director of the game literally said that the mark just shows what kind of playstyle you used.
@@Gerbert67 Hmmm, makes sense. :)
I don't think it's cheating, I just think that it's there so it doesn't get confused with legitimate speedruns
