    Interesting conversation!!! 💯
And I’d like to say this: Queer people do not need to “bring something to the table” to be respected. They don’t need to be educated. They don’t need to be accomplished or professionals. They can be illiterate, poor, jobless, sex workers, live with disability and still deserve respect. They can make their sexuality and gender identity their whole life and will still deserve as much respect. Let us divorce ourselves from this tired rhetoric that is often spread by homophobes who say “my problem is that you make it your whole life”. Non-queer people make their sexuality their whole lives. Non-queer people model their whole lives around their orientation and gender. Why can’t queer people do the same without wahala???

    • @olilumgbalu5653
      @olilumgbalu5653 5 місяців тому +3

The categories of people you have listed: poor, illiterate, jobless, sex workers, disabled etc are not receiving respect regardless of sexual orientation, even those who are heterosexual in those categories do not receive respect. Also, rather than worry about respect for some of the categories, most especially poor and sex workers, we should be trying to get rid of or significantly decrease those categories. Most or all poor people don't want to be respected and poor, they want to no longer be poor. Also, in my estimation, most sex workers have been sexually abused and are also poor and only do sex work as means of survival. It is dangerous work and not uplifting to the spirit.

@karenihenebiri1245 Well, I don't hate. sometimes , we misuse the word judging. Calling things out is not the same as judging. Judging is when you tell people there's no hope for them, like saying they have done the worst of things, like even God can not redeem them, that is judging. Abeg be careful what you open your mind to, especially when someone says please be open-minded, your question should be to what? You said you learned a lot that "gender is fluid," according to the guest on the show? Telling someone that their gender is in their head is wrong, telling someone that your body is not your sexual identity and that your sexual identity is your psychology is misleading and wrong. There is no wisdom in that please, that's not intelligence it doesn't matter who is promoting it. I don't hate, but they all need to stop misleading ppl and selling their ideas to people.

I’m a trans-attracted Nigerian man, and I’ve been attracted for a long time.
I want to share a few things that might be helpful to someone out there.
For many, their first exposure to trans women may have been through pornography, which can create false ideas about what attraction to trans women entails. It’s important to distinguish between fantasy and reality, and recognize that attraction-whether to cis or trans women-is perfectly valid.
    Are your attractions normal? Yes!!
Are you straight, gay, or something else?
Here’s the thing: I’m attracted to femininity. I love women and have never been attracted to men. Trans women-whether pre-op or post-op-are women. On the other hand, gay men are attracted to men. Many men are primarily attracted to trans women who have not undergone surgery. If that’s your preference, it doesn’t change the fact that these women are still women. Attraction can be fluid, and not everything has to fit into neat labels like “straight” or “gay.” Maybe you’re bisexual. Or maybe you aren’t. The truth is, labels don’t matter as much as how you treat yourself and others.
Trans women are more than just sexual partners.
It’s easy to misinterpret attraction as purely sexual, especially when influenced by unrealistic portrayals. But trans women are people with full lives, emotions, and experiences, just like anyone else. Reducing someone to their gender or sexual appeal will never bring out the best in them-or in you.
Cis women and trans women are both beautiful.
All women-whether cis or trans-are incredible. Women carry qualities that men often don’t, and that makes them unique and wonderful. If you find yourself attracted to both cis and trans women, approach those feelings with respect. Everyone has their own struggles, and kindness will always take you further than judgment.
Navigating trans attraction can be tough.
It’s easy to stay on the “down low” (DL) or feel afraid of being judged as a “chaser.” Societal stigma can make it harder for men who identify as straight and are attracted to trans women. But remember: your attraction doesn’t diminish your worth. Attraction to someone-cis or trans-doesn’t change who you are.
The key is respect and dignity.
Whether you’re with a cis or trans woman, treat her with kindness, respect, and consent. Building meaningful relationships is about more than attraction-it’s about connection and goodwill.
Your attraction is valid. The more we accept ourselves and treat others with respect, the closer we get to a world where no one feels shame for who they are or who they love.

I am not even trying to be religious, but your sexual identity is your body and not the way you feel like she was trying to portray. Pleaae anything outside that is a mental issue. People have their struggles it's not enough to start seeing yourself as though that's who you are meant to be.

  • @websterseade8624
    @websterseade8624 5 місяців тому +41

Am not judging. But let’s be clear on what the bible says. Ephesians 6:12
    King James Version
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Proverbs 14:12-16 KJV. There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, But the end thereof are the ways of death. Genesis 1:27. So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
    Psalm 139:14
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Changing ur sex is a total disobedience to God, in doing so you are automatically telling God he made a mistake putting you in the body he gave u. Yes God still loves us but we need to repent and accept his ways and love

From the place of love, the problem is this confusion you are spreading. It's so sad. Please correct what you said. Your sexual identity is your body and it's features and components, please, it's not your psychology, meaning it's not how you feel. It is what your body is. If you ever have to feel your sexual identity, then you are saying there's a psychological issue going on somewhere you don't want to admit. We all have a lot we struggle and deal with personally, but that's not enough to start seeing ourselves as may be that's who we were meant to be. Example, if pedophile say they are naturally attracted to minors only and nothing else, can we now say that's enough reason for them to be that way? Or that's their identity? This topic is more mental that you think and the few into this act are seeking help genuinely. It's a struggle and it is real but where money is involved it changes everything 💯

Normal is subjective to everyone as it left for us to deem.
Now In this case, if the pedophilia occurs between two consenting people, with the acceptance of the legal guardian of the minor, who are we to deem it a crime or abnormal?
Pedophilia is a crime when the case is not as above id believe. I.e
      1. The minor is not consenting.
      2. The Guardian of the minor is not consenting.
      3. That particular society deems it wrong.
So people with gender dysphoria, who choose to match their psychological and mental self to their physical self WITHOUT HURTING OTHERS should not be deemed abnormal or criminals Id say.
Also, you said the bodies should be the determinant of sexual orientation, lmaoo.
Everything single part of your external and internal body is controlled by your nervous system.
You using your eyes to see oh, you wanting to do things with your hands oh,you wanting to walk oh.
Everything is by the help of your nervous system.
So you cannot just disregard the mental part and it’s just so hypocritical to say that especially when it occurs naturally in all other lifes I.e in lower animals and in plants.
If it occurs naturally in all other bios why is humans where we draw the line?
Please, Let us just all live together with love and support even if we disagree with other peoples nature and the choice to accept it.

@@Low_BP Let me start with your examples, first, as you mentioned it occurs in lower animals, have you ever seen a male dog trying to be a female dog? I have seen a male dog humping another male dog, my question is, is animal now the standard for sexual orientation?
Pedophilia inherently involves a power imbalance between an adult and a child, regardless of whether the adult, child, or guardian consents. Children are not capable of providing informed consent in the same way adults are, Pedophilia is sex with children please note that, it’s not just sex with teenagers so it can never be right. You watch where this world is going soon
You seemed to be ok with incest as well if someone identifies as one. See, there’s why we must have order, when all these acts are unleashed, you will be shocked the length human will go.
On the other hand, gender dysphoria is a medical condition where an individual feels his/her gender identity does not align with their physical body, gender identity is not a feeling, it is physical, if you have to feel your gender then that’s a psychological problem right there, and they need help it’s not enough to start saying you are in a wrong body. I will not criminalize anyone on that but all I am saying is that there’s a problem they need to address and stop promoting mental issues like this, imagine the guest saying gender identity is fluid and is in your head is off, inaccurate and misleading.
It’s even sad where many healthcare insurance oversea will cover cost for transgender procedure and would not cover cost for someone seeking IVF. We need to be careful when discussing gender issues to avoid normalizing mental behaviors under the guise of subjective morality.

My suggestion to Deeva is just stay the way you are as a trans. Focus on your life and career. You don’t need to do any advocacy for anybody. I don’t see the essence of this particular show. If you tell nobody you are trans nobody will know. So why broadcast it here? Just live your life quietly like everyone else. God loves you. One day I pray He will reveal Himself to you and help you to have the right sexual orientation which matches the biological gender He assigned to you. God does not make mistakes but the devil somehow comes in to warp what God has designed. Same way people are born with inexplicable physical anomalies is the same way they are born with inexplicable mental and psychological anomalies.
