The Podcast is very educative on so many levels .you don't have to be queer to listen to it,(if not a Queer) it explains on how to handle and appreciate your queer pals ,siblings and FMs etc. if you are queer don't feel the rush to come out of the closet, take your time and figure yourself out on your own pace till you ready and if or not you decide to come out Always remember 1 rule (SELF LOVE IS ALWAYS THE KEY TO YOUR OWN HAPPINESS) ..
I was outed, shamed, blamed, kicked out, called all sorts of demonic (lol), denied healthcare and social support, beaten up then cut off, and its been haaard famlakini the strength I have found within myself and in the queer community imenibebaa. Sisemi come out and face these tribulations, but come out to yourself. Out here, people have a looot to say about you so you have to have strong and firm values and insight on who you authentically are😌Na ka hawakutaki usijali, tuko wengi out here😅You will find us and you will find community, and love and acceptance
I'm 16 & gay, it's really hard to come to act straight, my parents are like super homophobic. I vow to myself never to come out to them coz I owe no one no explanation as to why I should be happy, I don't want negativity, my sisters know I'm gay & don't care they accepted me along time ago that's all I need, I know someone out there who will accept me. To all gay people out there be u don't give fvcks don't people pliz just to fit in, be u hangout with a crowd that accepts u.
Hi Sam, your age really intrigued me and I immediately had big sister instincts. Please ensure that you never let anyone take advantage of you and always use protection. If you are in an exclusive relationship make sure you and your partner test together for all STIs and remain faithful to each other. All the best small bro.
For anyone feeling like they are struggling coming out, your journey will be so unique and don't compare yourself to anyone else's story. Like Olubayi said, you'll come out the RIGHT time. My advice is if your family doesn't support or approve you, stay in the closet until you can financially support yourself. That will avoid alot of hate, physical abuse, being kicked out, being locked up. For your sake seek a therapist or a friend you can talk to. There so many lgbtq+ organisations in Kenya that help us. Just reach out . Side note I'm 28 and gay and looking for an older woman to date and marry. hmu
Loved this episode. I was outed from the closet and it was tough, the homophobia was hell, but it gets better when you love yourself and find spaces like.these even online, to.feel some safety and community.
It’s sad that people are taking their own lives because they found out they are gay and can’t be open about it because of homophobia…Especially when it’s their own family members. Then there’s the ones who date yet hate their partners because they live in denial 😢
Based on true story😢 Can we deeply talked abt self acceptance and how to improve on yoh self...based on your true stories ...the liitle you share moreso ukiwa mic cheque...has been putting me in a position of wanting to grow myself in whatever way....lastly...based on this episode ..would you advice me yo come out of the closet.. or under what circumstances would force me to...and how to deal with whatever comes
im 20 right now and oh my im gay to the core i know its not a phase as most ppl say ..the thing is i have a loving family supportive with all perspectives of things apart from homosexuality.like my mum is the most loving person but when it comes to things like this she is so not into it she calls it taboo and demonic and not according to God's word and i really love her more than anything and i will never want to disappoint her and my family coz like they are my number ones so ofc im still in the closet and im struggling mentally with that fact ....but im grateful yall talked about this guys it helps to know im not the only one❣️
Here’s the thing about God: He is a God of system and purpose and all is to His glory. Yes, used the most unworthy (by human standards) like David, Joseph & Paul (David and Paul are my own personal favourites because one was a former adulterer and the other a literal murderer) for His work and glory. He called them to do His work. But here’s where it gets tricky. Whereas He calls the most unworthy of us, He also demands obedience to Him and to lead lives worthy of and reflective of Him. This is where being gay is not aligned to God’s purpose and glory. May you both experience God’s love and be worthy in His eyes, and not ours because we are equally faulty even though different from you. Sending you all the love 💜💜💜💜
im here to listen and learn😂so you guys are gay because yall dont like women or prefer women or yall just couldnt pull any woman,or what?😂i aint judging im trying to understand how "to be gay works"
Such an empowering and mature conversation. Homophobic people need to hear this. Much love guys
