I probably put that much time in older games but there was no way to track of course. I’ve also played it on PS4 Pro, PC, and PSVR. I won’t buy it again. I promise! Lol!
My favorite DBZ game as a kid, and yes it kicked my ass hard. Usually i don't like hard games, but this one, figuring out how the I.A behaved, buying the right skills, the mini games, the soundtrack, everything was such a great way to end an era of Dragon Ball on PS2
Check out Super DragonBall Z for PS2. No, not DragonBall Super. It's an arcade arena fighter that plays similar to Street Fighter and it's actually very under rated. It's a simple game and pretty bare bones but still very good.
Great video! As a competitive Budokai player and content creator my biggest gripe with the game is the absence of tutorial to teach cancelling. The thing that makes the series so special can be seen done by CPUs but never taught to the players
I get that the game can feel difficult and “unbalanced” but it’s trying to teach you the techniques (although not explicitly) that the cpu’s are abusing. The cancel combos are the main thing you need to up your damage. As for the blue form, energy attack spamming etc., it is all avoidable. If you just dash away for a bit, the cpus will end up wasting all their energy in the process. It’s to the point where in competitive matches, my brother and I never use the blue form because of how easy it is to evade it. Overall, the game was def built to be more competitive, and after playing it I could never go back to bd3, nor did I want to. Trying to balance your dodging, energy, and that tired meter thing makes the game full of really cool layers.
Replaying this game as a 31 year old I am kinda wondering how I did it when I had a ps2 without much of a problem. The game is harder than I remember. Or maybe I was better at game's. Of course this could be boiled down to it being around 15 or so year's sense I played this game.
pretty sure the Ai is glitched in this game. Even if you set the difficulty to Very easy, its literally the same as setting it to Hard. health bars and CPU's behavior is identical. Clearly an oversight from the devs
I just loved spamming teen Gohan super Kamehameha in every fight ....I loved they had ultimate beam attacks instead of trying to get a hit in to initiate the ultimate attack
@@hassnainkhalid2416 that was a new technique they imported from the shin budokai series. It does make some characters really unbalanced (like teen gohan, broly's 2nd ultimate, and Kid buu's assault rain).
Easiest way to unlock every one and farm Zeni is to play story mode. There's are part where you fight I think N18 or maybe Videl in the World Tournament Stage (Hard mode). At the start, just back up to the edge of the stage, when the opponent attacks, Teleport-parry their strike. It knockes them out. Each win takes about 10 seconds and gives you like 6000 Zeni.
I remember just farming Zeni by doing the Vegito vs Buuhan match over and over again because his final kamehameha, spirit cannon, and spirit sword would melt health like crazy.
Some people don't know it but there is a power up that you can buy multiple times that multiplies the zeni you get, buying that at level 3 allows you to get around 300k zeni in certain missions at Z difficulty. Which with some characters are very trivial to clear *coff coff*ssj2 teen Gohan with his yellow item equipped and the super Kamehameha final move equipped *coff coff*
Infinite world lives in infamy in my memory because the Frieza battle was so hard on "very easy" difficulty that I hit my PS2 controller against the end of my bed, breaking the L1 button. What made it more frustrating was that I really enjoyed the game otherwise. I never got past that battle. This experience aside, I'm not an "angry gamer", and this is the only game that has ever resulted in this kind of reaction from me, before or since.

@@eyecontrol4900 All that do is use canceled chains occsionally just not as well as an actual human would tnat knwos the system. Learn how use that and make your attack chains safe while also being able to link into multiple chains for actual good damage
This is honestly my favorite Dragon Ball Z fighting game (yes I like it slightly more than Fighterz) and it was one of the few DBZ games to have GT Vegeta playable. I actually like this more than Budokai 3.
I can understand that cus fighterZ is like a way more traditional tournament fighter and it is 3v3 so there’s a lot you have to learn to be able to play it competently especially online.
Infinite World was among my most played childhood PS2 games. I probably put in hundreds of hours into it with my little bro. It's better than Budokai 3 in pretty much every way that I can think of. Both Budokai 3 and Infinite World has a few characters that the other doesn't (Budokai 3 has Uub while IW has Super 17 for example) so I always wish they made one more game that included everyone and maybe a couple more characters.
I hate when people are like “infinite world cut uub!!” Like alright?? No one cares about uub 😭😭. Ill take gt vegeta and super 17 all the way anyday lol
@Spriggin. I had this game day 1 & still do. It’s been a long time since I’ve played it. If I’m not mistaken Nova Shenron was also playable here too wasn’t he? I know he wasn’t in B3 though.
My favorite part of the game was the mini games for sure! Goku training in the spacehip on his way to namek was probably my favorite. I'd love to see newer dbz games incorporate such mini games for such moments in the story.
I loved raging blast 1, spent so many hours playing through that game because the layout of the campaign was so nice in my opinion, yes the second game had more characters, updated graphics and such but i don’t remember enjoying the campaign because every other dragon ball game i played up to that point i always played through the dbz story and raging blast 2 wasn’t that
Rb 2 may have an updated graphic but for me is worse than rb 1, it just feels plastic and downgraded from the beautiful anime style graphics that rb 1 had.
Missed this one, but honestly I think Super Dragon Ball Z is even more obscure than this one cause nobody talks about that game. Seriously though I say this a lot but the need for these DBZ games to just focus on the main story and not deviate just burns me out. Couldn't even get through Kakarot cause it's a story I've played and seen a hundred times already.
my favorite DBZ game of all time, such an underrated gem. The gameplay is just so much fun and the co op battle memories for me are insane. Everything I didn't like about B3 was basically fixed in IW and I always appreciated the difficulty of this game. I loved how hard it can be, and people reviewed it horribly because it was even difficult on easy mode. You also have a new type of ultimate in this game, one that doesn't have a real cinematic and are ABSOLUTELY devastating. There is a way to cheese the game though, and not sure matty if you saw but you can replay the story with different characters. For the cheese, basically if you aura burn with max ki, you can infinitely spam super kamehameha which is COMPLETELY busted in this game. It literally is unblockable and near impossible to dodge and will do 2k damage per hit. Since there is aura burning, it is also super easy to spam. It works with ultimate masenko as well, or just about any secondary ultimate that is not a cinematic attack like big bang attack or spirit bomb.
this game was my entire childhood it somehow got everybody in my family into gaming my dad would play a match against mom me and my brothers would fight each other just so we can play against our parents first holy shit the nostalgia is killing me🥲🥲🥲
I loved this game as a kid, i would fake being sick so that i don't go to school just to spend hours on it, i always remembered bits and pieces about it (character select screen, the various minigames ect) but i never remembered the name, and now that i found it again i can die in piece
Infinite world is really budokai 4 literally says best of tenkaichi series and it upgraded the game a bit as well, also the story mode had additional missions and stories unlocked after you beat it and went back through it and added more life. Plus to me the difficulty made it better and feel more fulfilling when you overcame it and gives that feeling of having gotten good enough to overcome
This one is my favorite budokai, is like the ultimate budokai. And the side quest and training was really fun. The game has so many details if you pay attention.
This is still one of my favorite DBZ games. Played it so much alone, with my brothers, with friends. (And even more alone). When I was a kid. You said it felt uninspired, and I don't *totally* agree with that. I loved the difficulty, and had very little trouble with most fights save for Omega Shenron. Still, this was a great video, and I'm glad you enjoyed the game!
The Raging Blast series is essentially a spiritual successor to the Tenkaichi series. You should give them a shot. Raging Blast 2's Galaxy mode is a bit tedious but if you use a guide to track down the proper near death seals beforehand, it can still be pretty fun. They run like greased lightening on RPCS3. I wish Xenoverse 2's combat/counter mechanics were more like Tenkaichi/Raging Blast because comparatively, it's quite shallow and doesn't do well with truly representing the source material.
Man I couldn’t agree more about your opinion on xenoverse. So many people in the dragon ball community love those 2 games and I just don’t get it. To me personally they are okay but nowhere near some of the best dbz games ever like a lot of people claim they are
@@schemar17 The mechanics in the Budokai series were good though, with the exception of the first one. They essentially shared the same counter mechanics as the Tenkaichi series.
@@jeremyroberts8822 Yeah, a DBZ fighting game without beam clashes, sonic sway and swatting away supers/ultimates isn't a DBZ game made with passion and respect for the source material. With the exception of Kakarot. It's a beautiful looking game that definitely respects the story we all know and love. The counter/combat mechanics are barely better than Xenoverse, but that's only due to the addition of beam clashes and the absence of stamina breaks. Stamina breaks shouldn't exist in DBZ fighting games. Their ki is there stamina. Kakarot would've also been a better game overall if it shared RB2 mechanics.
This game is truly the best of the budokai series as it says!! More fast paced and challenging combat, it got rid of the dragon rush system which was cool at first but got repetitive, a far superior skills system and more characters. When I saw this game selling for the first time I nearly never got it because if it's name which I think throws off all fans at first but once i saw the back of it in the store I knew I had to see what was next after budokai 3. Only downside is that it didn't include a world tournament mode for competitive purposes but I only hope that this underapprecited gem gets a HD release one day 🙏🙏🙏.
I have every Budokai game, I had Dragon Ball Z: Budokai, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 2, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3, Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai, Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai 2 - Another Road, Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit, Dragon Ball Z: Infinite World, and Dragon Ball Z: Budokai HD Collection. Budokai games was fun and I had a great time playing Dragon Ball games from my late childhood to my adulthood years.
I remember buying this game thinking it was just a DBZ game I missed, and was pleasantly surprised when I realized it was Budokai 4! I loved this game!
I think my problem with DBZ games at the time was just the amount of games they released. Before Battle of Gods released, it's been years since the main series and GT ended, and even as a kid it kinda got boring playing the story mode over and over again. They're great games, but they were definitely releasing too many of them back to back. I always liked how some games had alternate stories or fanservice like raging blast 2 bringing in Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta and Broly to spice things up. I still remember Tenkaichi 3 skipping some important fights from the Buu saga. I specifically remember the premade fight scenes that played during the start screen, and they showed a clip of Super Boo vs Gotenks. When I got to the Buu saga, they completely skipped over it and Gohan vs Buutenks.
Y'know, for being considered the "budokai 4" of the series, IW leaves a lot to be desired (like you properly said and shown). But I still think that it had the potential to be that and, with other modders, the Budokai 4 mod Project is actually coming along quite nicely. If you liked IW so much, you might consider giving this a try as well.
Here’s a couple of random dragon ball trivia questions for any one who want to test there dragon ball universe knowledge: 1 . What’s bulma’s sisters name ? 2. Who was the first alien to meet humans in the DBZ UNIVERSE? 3. Witch other character from another manga shows in dragon mystical adventure ? 4. What is Gohan’s job as a adult ? Have fun .
Easily my favorite Budokai game from that series, I like that this game was hard and challenging and the only reason it was hard was because it was made to be competitive and not just simply spamming super moves and doing normal combos this game teaches you combo canceling to do more damage also you get a ton of zeni just by playing the story mode, so saying that the getting zeni part was unbalanced is wrong.
The only 2 things this game lacks IMO are the beam struggles(yes, they were removed) and the world tournament mode, if this game had these 2 things, it could be called budokai 4, because it would be basically better than budokai 3, but due to these things, IMO it's a draw
Who cares about Tournament mode when you can get a lot of zeni just by playing the story mode and later on play Fighter’s road which both give you a lot of zeni.
Dont tell people the game is lackluster just because you're not good at it. Everyone loves budokai 3 but this game is budokai 3 with way more characters and around 1/3 of budokai 3s roster didnt even have full movesets. This game gives all of those old characters their own movesets and adds to everyone elses. They also got rid of dragon rush which no one liked and added cutscenes which budokai 3 didnt have either. Its fine if its not your favorite but dont misrepresent the game and overlook all of the new things it brought to the table just beacuse your playthrough was too hard for you.
I remember playing this as a kid and thinking the exact same thing. “Why the hell is this game so damn hard ?!” Still played it a decent bit, but not nearly as much as Budokai 3, which was my personal favorite Budokai game.
I loved infinite world the game was a ton of fun very difficult to play a times cause of the unbalanced difficulty but I really had a ton of fun playing this when I was younger
I loved this game back in the day......the fact they had a separate vegeta gt was very cool....and I loved all the different mini games.....the tien tri beam mini game was my favorite
I'm glad you struggled on the frieza fight because I had one of my friends at the time helping me and it took both of us a long ass time to beat him. We were both like 10 at the time but still every other dragonball game was pretty easy so I always thought that I was just bad at it at the time.
It's like Budokai 3: Tournament Edition in a way. It takes all the lessons learned with the three games and creates a competent unique fighting system. The game unlocks once you learn to charge cancel, which is like the game's version of Melee's Wave Dash in a way.
8:30 That is one of the annoying things I have noticed about mostly Bandai-Namco published fighters. Cause Tekken has been doing that kind of stuff since 5, where the game gives you pretty paltry amounts of money considering that the money is shared across the roster of like 30+ characters but then makes almost every item you can buy expensive and usually locked to what character bought it.
My most vivid memory of this game when I realized I had to clutch up and start using the mechanics was when Yamcha had just knocked me into the wall and Cancel combo'd his way over to me. didn't super dash, didn't reg dash. Just starting combo'ing like he was showing me what i was in for once he got over there.
Despite all the DBZ games that have come out over the years, BT2 and BT3 in my opinion still remains the most Unique and the best DBZ games in terms of content, quality and fanservices. And from the gameplay perspective aspects, these DBZ games that I mentioned are very close to the anime itself because of the Vibe and Charm, I don't know how to describe it but it was, and still is the most Unique DBZ experience you could have with the combat factor. (- Sheer amount de of characters - Transformations mid-battle (powering up and down) - Fusions mid-battle - Fast gameplay that has that "woah" feel - Tons of extra content - Story mode covering all sagas + movies - What If sagas - Shenron having permanent impact on game (character unlocks and whatnot) - Great tournaments that rotate availability - Edit characters with items (buffs) - 5v5 battles - Really Great and Epic Sountracks - Destroyable environments - Entire stages could be blown up into their "destroyed" alternatives - Mission 100 being a great challenge - Artwork is 10/10 - Sound effects are great - Combat feels heavy and satisfying) Only Budokai 3, Infinite World and the Raging Blast 1 and 2 are still considered also very solid DBZ games, also the hidden gem that a lot of DBZ fans missed from PS2 Era of DBZ games is "Super Dragon Ball Z" which is also a real Unique and DBZ game, especially for the different gameplay aspects perspective. ☯️✌
Hope you enjoy raging blast 2 when you try it . it’s still the right direction for the tenkaichi style games imo . It think if they want to go the create a character grind route like they did in xenoverse that they should revamp things completely I don’t like the gameplay or xenoverse. Thinly raging blast only failed due to bad marketing
This game was a little tough but it in no way way problomatic. I just beat it again last month and had no idea how to equipe capsules so I beat this entire game with no abiliities or attacks. The difficulty is fine. If anything the unbalance is in the players favor if you have the right capsules. You can litterally drain your opponents health without hitting them and spam ultimates without spending any ki easily
This game looks awesome, when it comes to anime I only really watched DBZ Kai, but I played the CRAP out of Raging Blast on the PS3. Honestly how I even learned the full Saiyan Saga story along with the alternate stories! Those were so rad. That game is still amazing to this day.
I actually own this game! :3. And oh boy do I love it. I want to replay it now in fact. I always adored the cutscenes. And I don't remember Zeni ever being a problem for me. As for game difficulty, the only time I remember ever getting stuck was against 100% Frieza. I don't know what the hell they did to his A.I. but he was brutal. I'm pretty sure I did most things on hard too. But ended up going back and doing things on even harder settings, which I don't recall if every mission allowed this or just the special ones. I thought maybe I just got a whole lot better at it by the time I finished the main story, but then I realized that 100% power Frieza is still kicking my ass more than Omega Shenron. So I don't know what's up with that. Also with Fighter's Road I just cheesed it with Captain Ginyu. No shame.
pretty sure the Ai is glitched in this game. Even if you set the difficulty to Very easy, its literally the same as setting it to Hard. health bars and CPU's behavior is identical. Clearly an oversight from the devs. i had the same issue with kid buu and majin vegeta in this game
Dude I can’t wait for you to play Burst Limit! Truly one of the best of the whole series of games. It kind of feels like a fair well to the classic arcade style that Budakai had. At least till Fighterz came out.
I love Fighterz, but me and my brothers grew up with the ps2 DBZ games, such great memories. Me and my little bro still play this game to this day and we are pretty good at it 😂
I discovered this channel of yours on a whim(How didn't I know you had it, I've watched you since fallout 4 released) and began on the DBZ stuff cus I love the series and now I'm binge watching everything you have so far here.
as a guy who played this game when i was a child, well... it was an adventure for sure, as a kid, i was never able to complete this game (i got stuck in Majin Vegeta fight) and then i went from not be able to complete this game as a child (in super Easy) to be able to beat the AI on Maximum difficulty as an Adult. I still think the difficulty of this game is actually the best, i feel like there's not many DBZ games actually challenging
This game is so nostalgic, it's the first game that I completed but the 2nd game I played, the 1st game I ever played was budokai 3 but I was so young back then that I have so little memory of it😂
I remember my dad buying this game for me when I was younger after budokai tenkaichi 3 it felt kinda weird playing a game that was so much like budokai again but it was challenging as hell for my younger self and I enjoyed the experience of completing this game
When I heard about this game all my friends just said it was just Budokai 3 with no dragon rush and the difficulty cranked up unreasonably high. So they all hated it and stuck with Budokai 3. Its a shame cause I woulda loved a Budokai 3 with a larger roster
There’s a way to win every battle which ruined it. If you turn blue, you can constantly keep teleporting behind as a counter without your ki going down and when it’s over you’re not gassed like budokai 3
I am so happy to hear I wasn't the only one to get stuck on Frieza, I kid you not it took me a full year to beat the guy, it left a bad taste in my mouth for the Budokai games, I ended up really enjoying the Budokai Tenkaichi games more because of it Take out the insane difficulty and game was a 7/10 for me
its an oversight from the devs. even if you set it to Very Easy, the Ai literally behaves the exact same as if you set it to Very hard. I struggled A LOT with kid buu and majin vegeta on my first playthrough.
I put more hours in on this game when I was a kid than any other game except maybe Budokai 3 and BT2. I played this game so much though! It was the only game that gave us Goku(GT) and he was the character I loved the most
Fun fact as a kid me and my cousins couldn’t figure out how to go buy skills and equip them so we got up to the Majin Vegeta fight with no skills or items before we got completely walled. We were so mad we stayed up all night trying to beat him and then I accidentally clicked the wrong thing and a whole new world of power opened up 😂
I kept almost getting this game, but never did. So many great memories playing the budokai and tenkaichi series. Such good games. They tried to recreate it at the beginning of the ps3 generation, but it was kind of weak. At least we have FighterZ now.
I played all the dbz games bought budokai 3 twice cuz I got bored and it’s easy than bought it again cuz I miss it, haven’t played raging blast and infinite world yet, now I’m 36 years old looking back at the 2 games and decided on getting a copy of infinite world brand new for over a $100 dollars, I can understand now cuz it’s rare, like the difficult challenge to add into my library! 👍🏼
that game was so difficult as a kid i didn't really understand the shop but i still beat cell until i got the gist of it now hearing everybody say jt's hard gives me a great sense of accomplishment😂
I still love to come back to this game, the roster was great, it covered all the arcs and movies(all be it loosely) even gt and just fighting normal battles was always interesting, yeah its a bit much on high difficulties(like most ps2 games) but if you lower it fights like buu and frieza shouldn't be too bad
At the risk of earning a life ban, I’ve never played a DB game but let me explain: I bought a Naruto game early in the 360s life and it was basically a 3d platform explorer brawler noodle eating competition with occasional one on one boss fights. That fucking game kicked my arse for like two months, nearly cost me a c3po 360 controller (long story) but so I realised anime games so not for me. The exception that proves the rule is when the game is Musou like OPP games or Berserk: Band of the Hawk for example. Cool vid again Sir Matty!
I remember this game was fun cause of the combo cancel that really change the game from the previous, besides shin budokai on the psp cause some of the mechanic came from shin budokai
I cant wait when he plays the raging blast games the dragon ball raging blast 2 soundtrack is amazing especially i think it was the intro i need to listen to it again
Infinite World revolutionizing the Capsule system was really my favorite thing about the game. That, and taking away the shitty Dragon Rush minigame for cool attacks like the Special Beam Cannon, Warp Kamehameha, and the Final Flash. Incredible game and I really wish they would return to this approach of gameplay. But now the devs and the fans only ever rant and rave about the Tenkaichi series now. They're both great, but I prefer this.
Funny how most people were burnt out by the time this came out. I remember as a kid I was sooo pressed on them coming out with an DBZ game in America, then Budokai launched and everyone lost their minds. Then a few years later like 10 games came out and it really was just the same shit over and over again like sports games and COD. I got back into DBZ around the release of Xenoverse 2 and I really enjoyed Kakarot, it was nostagalic for me.

@@eyecontrol4900 All that do is use canceled chains occsionally just not as well as an actual human would tnat knwos the system. Learn how use that and make your attack chains safe while also being able to link into multiple chains for actual good damage
This is literally my favorite DBZ game of all time!! The fighting is so fluid and the mini games are actually kinda fun.
@@jeremyroberts8822 Online doesn't even have roll back netcode. Which makes the online feel super laggy with tons of input delay.
This game is underrated as all hell!!
@@Anthony-zl7yz that seems like a you problem tho
@@Anthony-zl7yz I care about,bro
😭😭 Uub was my second go-to
@1nauticaxo ???
@Spriggin. I had this game day 1 & still do. It’s been a long time since I’ve played it. If I’m not mistaken Nova Shenron was also playable here too wasn’t he? I know he wasn’t in B3 though.
loved this game as a kid. basically just budokai 4
My favorite part of the game was the mini games for sure! Goku training in the spacehip on his way to namek was probably my favorite. I'd love to see newer dbz games incorporate such mini games for such moments in the story.
I loved raging blast 1, spent so many hours playing through that game because the layout of the campaign was so nice in my opinion, yes the second game had more characters, updated graphics and such but i don’t remember enjoying the campaign because every other dragon ball game i played up to that point i always played through the dbz story and raging blast 2 wasn’t that
I actually like the graphics of RB1 over 2. It has a nice soft look for the characters.
Rb 2 may have an updated graphic but for me is worse than rb 1, it just feels plastic and downgraded from the beautiful anime style graphics that rb 1 had.
I really liked the story mode in this you're not just fighting the whole story there were different missions as well
Missed this one, but honestly I think Super Dragon Ball Z is even more obscure than this one cause nobody talks about that game.
Seriously though I say this a lot but the need for these DBZ games to just focus on the main story and not deviate just burns me out. Couldn't even get through Kakarot cause it's a story I've played and seen a hundred times already.
Yeah Super Dragon Ball Z is mad obscure, I’ve only seen it on youtube like once or twice. I played it a good bit (emulated), really fun game.
I've rented it once, wanted to play it again recently and couldn't even find a rom lol
my favorite DBZ game of all time, such an underrated gem.
It works with ultimate masenko as well, or just about any secondary ultimate that is not a cinematic attack like big bang attack or spirit bomb.
this game was my entire childhood it somehow got everybody in my family into gaming my dad would play a match against mom me and my brothers would fight each other just so we can play against our parents first holy shit the nostalgia is killing me🥲🥲🥲
That happened with my family but with MK vs DC instead. My dad picked the Joker.
I loved this game as a kid, i would fake being sick so that i don't go to school just to spend hours on it, i always remembered bits and pieces about it (character select screen, the various minigames ect) but i never remembered the name, and now that i found it again i can die in piece
Infinite world 2 was the only game that made me cry, friezaaaaaaaaaaaa
OHH I loved this game. Beat the whole thing in a weekend! I didn't struggle with it that much as a kid
I remember Dragon Ball Z Infinite World ... classic!
To me personally they are okay but nowhere near some of the best dbz games ever like a lot of people claim they are
Xenoverse was made by the same people who made the budokai games that's why the mechanics are so weird
I hate how underrated Dragon Ball infinite World is. That game is technically a perfect version of budokai 3 Imo because of it not having Dragon Rush
The fact that the game is really this hard, makes Dotodoya's no skills, z difficulty playthrough much more impressive lol
Watching your videos makes me insanely happy that I've made digital backups of all my games for the past few years.
It has saved me tons of money.
I grew up playing Final Bout as a young teenager. Budokai and Budokaie 2 were amazing after the PS1 Era. 2 being my favorite as well.
Final Bout was also my first Dragon Ball game, along with Ultimate Battle 22.
This was honestly better than Budokai 3. It fixed annoying features and made it better.
Here’s a couple of random dragon ball trivia questions for any one who want to test there dragon ball universe knowledge:
I find it better without the beam struggles. Never been a fan of “mini games” during gameplay.
Who cares about Tournament mode when you can get a lot of zeni just by playing the story mode and later on play Fighter’s road which both give you a lot of zeni.
@@EWOODJbeam struggles what makes the game I can’t that dragon rush shit
Dont tell people the game is lackluster just because you're not good at it. Everyone loves budokai 3 but this game is budokai 3 with way more characters and around 1/3 of budokai 3s roster didnt even have full movesets. This game gives all of those old characters their own movesets and adds to everyone elses. They also got rid of dragon rush which no one liked and added cutscenes which budokai 3 didnt have either. Its fine if its not your favorite but dont misrepresent the game and overlook all of the new things it brought to the table just beacuse your playthrough was too hard for you.
nah this game was a pain.also they got rid of beam struggles for some reason.
@@jared50709 yeah beam struggkes is the only downside. Otherwise its the best budokai
I remember playing this as a kid and thinking the exact same thing. “Why the hell is this game so damn hard ?!” Still played it a decent bit, but not nearly as much as Budokai 3, which was my personal favorite Budokai game.
Raging Blast 2 is insanely good. Brought me back into DB back in 2011
I loved infinite world the game was a ton of fun very difficult to play a times cause of the unbalanced difficulty but I really had a ton of fun playing this when I was younger
Love how he showed footage of Budokai 3 while saying bt3
(- Sheer amount de of characters
- Transformations mid-battle (powering up and down)
- Fusions mid-battle
- Fast gameplay that has that "woah" feel
- Tons of extra content
- Story mode covering all sagas + movies
- What If sagas
- Shenron having permanent impact on game (character unlocks and whatnot)
- Great tournaments that rotate availability
- Edit characters with items (buffs)
- 5v5 battles
- Really Great and Epic Sountracks
- Destroyable environments
- Entire stages could be blown up into their "destroyed" alternatives
- Mission 100 being a great challenge
- Artwork is 10/10
- Sound effects are great
- Combat feels heavy and satisfying) Only Budokai 3, Infinite World and the Raging Blast 1 and 2 are still considered also very solid DBZ games, also the hidden gem that a lot of DBZ fans missed from PS2 Era of DBZ games is "Super Dragon Ball Z" which is also a real Unique and DBZ game, especially for the different gameplay aspects perspective. ☯️✌
I found out about this game about 2 years ago. I wish I knew about it when I was a kid.
Loved this game when it came out. Still got my copy, along all the other Budokai.
I can’t believe this video is just coming out. I have had this for a while but I haven’t really got into playing it
i like how you could equip multiple kamahamahas to one character to increase the size of it in game, and i hope they bring it back in dbz bt4
Yesss the old dragon ball z games are AMAZING hope you make more videos on them
This game looks awesome, when it comes to anime I only really watched DBZ Kai, but I played the CRAP out of Raging Blast on the PS3. Honestly how I even learned the full Saiyan Saga story along with the alternate stories! Those were so rad. That game is still amazing to this day.
Damn. Budokai 3 is one of my all time favs. If I knew this game existed back in the day it would've been a no brainer
I loved this game as a yougin. SUCH a good time and some pretty unique stuff you could do in it's story mode. I love this game!!!!
Me and my little bro still play this game to this day and we are pretty good at it 😂
Legacy of Goku is the pinnacle of DBZ games
Dotodoya's let's play of this game on the hardest difficulty is perfect.
I always preferred Budokai 3 over any of the Tenkaichi games...mainly due to the camera angles
This game is so nostalgic, it's the first game that I completed but the 2nd game I played, the 1st game I ever played was budokai 3 but I was so young back then that I have so little memory of it😂
tbh that one together with Sagas and Budokai 3 and all GBA DBZ GBA games are my fav ones
Underrated game way ahead of it's time the mini games were awesome
I remember my dad buying this game for me when I was younger after budokai tenkaichi 3 it felt kinda weird playing a game that was so much like budokai again but it was challenging as hell for my younger self and I enjoyed the experience of completing this game
When I heard about this game all my friends just said it was just Budokai 3 with no dragon rush and the difficulty cranked up unreasonably high. So they all hated it and stuck with Budokai 3. Its a shame cause I woulda loved a Budokai 3 with a larger roster
you really need to play burst limit, probably the best voice acting and presentation for any dbz game
Burst limit and the raging blast games are awsome
There’s a way to win every battle which ruined it. If you turn blue, you can constantly keep teleporting behind as a counter without your ki going down and when it’s over you’re not gassed like budokai 3
I am so happy to hear I wasn't the only one to get stuck on Frieza, I kid you not it took me a full year to beat the guy, it left a bad taste in my mouth for the Budokai games, I ended up really enjoying the Budokai Tenkaichi games more because of it
Take out the insane difficulty and game was a 7/10 for me
its an oversight from the devs. even if you set it to Very Easy, the Ai literally behaves the exact same as if you set it to Very hard.
We were so mad we stayed up all night trying to beat him and then I accidentally clicked the wrong thing and a whole new world of power opened up 😂
So I suppose I am one of the few that played this game when it was on ps2.
Unfortunately it doesn't seem it sold well which is a shocker to me.
Burst Limit was TOP TIER. just hate where it ended.
Shit..
Dragon ball z are the golden years...
Always down to see anything Dragon Ball ever
that game was so difficult as a kid i didn't really understand the shop but i still beat cell until i got the gist of it now hearing everybody say jt's hard gives me a great sense of accomplishment😂
Loved this definitely check out the gba games
Over and over and over and over.... Still love that sheet 😅
Yoooo Raging Blast is absolutely amazing, the Xenoverse games are really amazing too
At the risk of earning a life ban, I’ve never played a DB game but let me explain: I bought a Naruto game early in the 360s life and it was basically a 3d platform explorer brawler noodle eating competition with occasional one on one boss fights.
It’s not for everyone! I think it’s worth a shake at some point.
my guy bringing them curtains back from his trip to 1987
Oh man playing this as a 12-13 year old was the hardest thing i experienced and i love it for that
Best way I can explain this is Budakai 3 with DLC. I love that they have all the GT characters. Including super sexy 17.
I’m glad you told me it was expensive I still have my copy
Raging blast 1&2 was amazing
Funny how most people were burnt out by the time this came out. I remember as a kid I was sooo pressed on them coming out with an DBZ game in America, then Budokai launched and everyone lost their minds. Then a few years later like 10 games came out and it really was just the same shit over and over again like sports games and COD. I got back into DBZ around the release of Xenoverse 2 and I really enjoyed Kakarot, it was nostagalic for me.
