Vmoda delivers not just in sound quality, but also in durability. There can be other brands out there with ANC and transparency sound at the same price; but Vmoda has proven to me it is built to last. I still have the Crossfade wireless I bought like six years ago and works and looks like brand new.
No!! I have the vmoda m100, was really carefully used and the top cover of the head part started peeling of after about 2 years. Maybe just my unit but the material was started to crack around the screews after 2-3 years. Im using it right now with some paracord "upgrade" because I love how it sounds, but the durability is a really big dissapointment for me!! :/
Hook them up to a vintage amp with 35 watts per channel...or up to 50 or 65 watts. That will power huge speakers...or a house party. The headphone amps tap into the main amp power. Forget op amps. (You'll have to google each model on ebay for watts specs)

How does this version compare to the Crossfade Wireless (version I)? Does this latest version provide more clarity / transparency to the sound? And less bass to avoid masking mids and highs? I do own the original (first version) Crossfade Wireless and what I noticed is that its bass is too overpowered (I'm ok with the emphasized sub-bass, but not with the bass which is too much), what causes veiling or masking the mids and highs. On the other hand and after comparing them to the Audio Technica ATH-MSR7b, I did also notice a lack of clarity / transparency. So I'm basically wondering if V-Moda has modified the sound signature (same sub-bass but less bass and more clarity / transparency) in any of the latest releases (Crossfade 2 Wireless, Crossfade 2 Wireless Codex Edition, M-200, etc) compared to the original Crossfade Wireless? Thanks!
Has anyone come across this: For my second pair of V-Moda Crossfade 2, the left (L) earphone fails when listening to music via bluetooth connection? * With a wired connection, both headphones work, the left earpiece refuses to work, only via bluetooth communication! How to fix it, someone disassembled them himself, what could go wrong?
I have the same problem, the only solution I found (and read) is to plug the cable while they are on, and unplug it again (sometimes fast or slow). Once it works, as long as you just use Bluetooth they will work fine, but when you plug the cable back in, the problem will happen again. I believe the problem is the sensor (actuator) that turns off all the electronics once you plug the cable in. I would love to disassemble them to see the machanism and try to clean it, but I haven't done it yet.

I’ve exclusively bought V-Moda for 10 years now and all my headphones have developed the same issues, cracks in the plastic tips on the edges of the headband, loose metal brackets on the inside of the headband making them too painful to wear and cracks on the ear cups. Totally unacceptable for such expensive headphones. A real shame because I love how they look and sound and they FEEL like they should be durable but they’re only as strong as their weakest parts and those parts fail consistently over and over.
I haven't tried the Crossfade 3 yet but I would assume that it has a little more features with a similar sound signature so that might be the better buy

You can do that too, but if you want a little bit more compatibility and fidelity in audio reproduction the Codec edition is required, however if audio fidelity with certain type of audio formats is not a big concern to you then the regular Crossfade 2 wireless will work just fine.

If you don't care about the tech on the Sony the vmoda are better by quiet a bit!
Sound wise I confidently think the Sonys are better. But the V-Moda sound amazing and it's durability can't be beat
