I'm in the middle of getting my kitchen and pantry renovated. Next year we plan to replace our carpets and linoleum floors with wooden floors. Do you recommend that we limewash the walls first before we replace the flooring? Also, I live in a track home in Calif. and the walls are slightly textured, how would I prep the wall for the paint job?
I would suggest to do the limewash after the flooring. I’m not sure about textured wall but you can ask jamesalexanderlimewash.com i’ve read it somewhere that their paint is ok with textured wall but other brands are not. It would be better to confirm the brand before buying the limewash just to make sure. Good luck!
I think you can but I wouldn't recommend it because our ceiling was very patchy with just regular primer. The limewash primer is very watery compared to the regular. Hope this helps.
As for the primer, I used almost 2 (I primed the walls but not the ceiling). For paint, I used 2 + 1 can of densifier (walls and ceiling). Thanks so much
@@katesunga5837 yes very watery. It dried so fast. I would say after an hour. So in a day, I did 2 walls. I primed 2 walls then after I primed the 2nd wall, I went back the the 1st wall to do the limewash and by the time I finished the 1st wall, the 2nd wall was already dry. I hope this helps.
i always dip my tip completely, it helps the brush stay wet.
Glad it worked for you that way. I did that and it dripped on my wall and it was not good.
Omg I love it !
Thanks
What about the maintenance? Is it easy to clean the stains after long period?
Beautiful work! Where are the headboards from?

Always floors are last!!
what if we don't put on primer first?
As long as your wall is white, i think it should be fine. But try it first because i didnt put a primer to my ceiling and it’s kinda patchy.
What was the 2nd step? Add white colour? Or something different?
@@yesbat4136 the first step is the primer. The 2nd step is the limewash paint.
@@homeartmine i think they're asking about the densifier
@@user-rr2gk9ds4i oh I see. Yes I highly suggest adding it to your final coat. It helps prevents the chalky finish and prevent transfer.
I got sample paint of this color. but in person it has a deep tone of pink/peach compared to on video. is this what you experienced?
Yes but it will toned down after a few days. Depending on the lighting too, sometimes it look peachy and tan.
You charge per sf or the whole work???
@@JoseCastillo-kt3dn I don't work outside my home. Sorry. But maybe you can ask jamesalexanderlimewash.com/pages/shop thanks
Can we use any primer?

How many gallon of lime wash paint and primer dis you used? Your room looks really nice. ❤

Is the primer usually watery? How long before you applied the lime wash after the primer? 😢
