What's going on FISHAHOLIC. You're absolutely right man rooster Tails catch everything! I'm not going to lie though I just found out last year that they catch catfish. I caught a channel cat on a white one in the Tennessee tombigbee River. Then I knew that they were just a fish catching machine of all species.
Bill Dance Fishing I remember long ago you made a show fishing for Stripers on a TVA lake in cold weather. You and friend used Mann’s String Ray grubs on swimming jig heads. You told a story of another friend you knew who hooked himself in the mouth using a Red and White Lucky Thirteen pug. He accidently hooked one treble in the corner of his mouth and one hook in the back of his coat. He had to drive all the way back to the boat ramp for help because he no other choice. I still remember you telling that story still today. I still use Stingray grubs too. I caught everything on them from Sea Trout to Smallmouth using them. They still make them but only in a few colors. Now that was and still is a fish catching swim jig.
So true and crappie fishing also well use different jigs from plastic bodys to hand tied jigs. Have video's on makeing a jig weedless and the hotdog jig. FLC
Great video! If I had to pick only one lurer for the rest of my fishing days it would be a YELLOW ROOSTER TAIL . Curious, what would YOU pick ?? Almost forgot ,, don't forget the Iconic Panther Martin !!! Thanks for sharing your opinions !! It would bring more brevity if you had to fish for food ! What would the artificial lure be ???
I'd pick a fluke, smokey shad color. Just because it's so versatile. Weightless, double fluke rig, Texas rigged, even on a stand-up head and craw it on the bottom.
Joes flies makes an inline spinner like the roostertail. The black woolybuger with a gold blade and a red tip is unbelievable. Academy sells them. I buy several of every type they sell and have a chest full of them in case they ever quick making them. I was a roostertail guy before though and still have a bunch for backup or to share.
I'd probably use a 3 inch white curly tailed grub, you can run it in top you cam put it on a jig and you can catch anything from bluegill to trout to flounder to lake trout!
Had to switch to an in too last bass outing. Noy many strikes but very nice ones. 2 to 4. Got to have great reflexes though. Had 3 spit it out before I set the hook. Just a split behind them. Fish on!👌👍😊
Looking for an old episode on a creek using a porko. Cant find it....The bass were like 14 inches but looked like 4lbrs. Deformed looking. Awesome episode.
Hey Bill, do you belive with a generational change in fish they would be more likely to find older lures like the Arbogast hula popper , Or jitter bug to be really productive. I was using. Jitter Bug at night and I have always had luck catching something. Even a Zara Spook was pretty good to this day.
i think if i could take one lure anywhere on earth, i would take a Luhr Jensen Krocodile Spoon! if was fishin' bass? only lure i need is a white Zoom Tiny Fluke and a 2/0 gamakatsu bass hook!
Any lure bill uses here on the show or can and won’t catch fish. Odds go up. My father ‘s and I recent trip crank baits worked in the six to eight foot range. But recent high water fluctuations in weather have shut em down. Lake degrey is at flood stage come last trip. Use caution while boating 🛶 large trees 🌲 and debris to damage engine’s lower units are floating BOLO. Go to coves to other parts of the lake if your just goofing or fishing. Renewal launch passes was still closed they need a better system either a park ranger needs to collect directly with gloves n masks my dad doesn’t want to handle stuff with the virus abound. Use the usual launch tags but hand him cash no change something other than touching the box. He or she fills out tag 🏷 you stick on mirror
I love to see you set the hook you don't mess around, another great informative show Thanks.
Rooster tails catch everything! Bluegill, green sunfish, bass, crappie, sandbass and I’ve even caught catfish on them!
I agree!!!

Funny. I said a rooster tail will catch everything too.
thats funny where I'm at I would use a chartreuse rooster tail 1/8 oz.

You should of went to Michigan dam break and floods town and showed us the different depths were fish hang out. It would have been like 3D
The mepps dressed aligia catches everything change my mind
Mepps comet works good on bass
I like the 2 mepps aglia bigger fish will still hit one in my local pond .
Bill I can't fish with a plastic worm I just cannot get the nick down for it

Are you fishing your own lake?
Not so much about the bait, but presentation. No single tactic can present a bait perfectly in every circumstance. Not even a jig.
Spoons also catch everything
I’m the first like and comment
I would like to fish with bill
Dynamite
