I can't remember fishing and not thinking about what Bill would do in this situation. Great times!!! I remember when I was younger, wondering why in the world did he throw them fish back, I have learned so we can all enjoy them. Love you Bill. Thanks
A beloved legend , your legacy will live forever. I've had the privilege of meeting you a couple of times . Thanks for teaching us how to fish Bill , we love you.
Finesse fishing I used to I would do that but here lately I've kind of got me into trying this topwater bite early in the morning late late in the afternoon sometimes it's good sometimes it's not if I don't get some action on top... Work fish comes into play. Thanks for many many years of watching you fish
Bill, Bass Pro Shops sells a fine hook remover. Your name used to be on it. I have it and couldn't go fishing without it. They also have a gadget to lip a fish and I've got that too. And you are right, a fish that big can catch (hook) me anytime.
I caught an 8 pounder this summer off of light gear. I wish I could say it was a fantastic fight, but it struck a few feet out. LOL. I can't imagine what fight it would've been.
Over many years of watching your videos; you have made countless shows using light tackle landing large fish. It is mostly overlooked by the average Bass angler. You have demonstrated many times; big fish eat small lures as often as they do large ones. Matching the hatch is a term use by fly anglers; fineness fishing relates to using light line and smaller lures. Matching the hatch requires using tackle that is able to present lures that match the hatch. Light lures and light line is overlooked by bass anglers because spinning reels are not favorites of Bass anglers. Yesterday I fished a local two angler Bass derby with a friend. He ran the front and I fished the same water he did. However, I use six pound braid and he used conventional tackle. He was less than optimistic of my choice of tackle. However, that slowly changed making casts to the same water he was; I caught and landed one more fish than him. The heaviest lure I used was less than a quarter ounce and the one getting the most bites was an eighth ounce jig and soft plastic. I equaled or exceeded his casting distances and kept my jig dragging bottom in water 6 to 10-feet deep. Interestingly; I used a baitcasting reel and rod not locally or available at Bass Pro. I used this tackle a couple years now; the ship is sailing to America with this tackle system. Bass Pro would be smart to get off the boat first offering it to their customers sooner than later. You deserve credit for planting the seed in me and many others to explore other ways to enjoy fishing. Thank you for that and entertaining way you do it.

Hey bill
"Oh man I got a whale!" lol!! On light tackle even a small 1lb'er feels like a whale!!! Awesome, love it!!
👍🇺🇸
I’m going dancing with bill fish today
Bill: dont reel while the fish is pulling drag! *immediately reels while fish is pulling drag*
He must own all these lakes cause it sure seems like he has them all to himself always.
Wouldn't you if you could? Bill was outstanding on the tournament trail for a few years until he went the fishing program route back in the day.
@@kenneth9874Absolutely I would.
