I'm 37 now and I've been watching Bill Dance since about as early as I can remember. Saturday mornings, if I wasn't fishing, I'd be planted in front of the tv to watch all the fishing shows. I think they were on ESPN way back then. To any bill dance fans out there, search bill dance bloopers if you haven't. There's 5-6 videos and they're all hilarious.
It came on TNT, The Nashville Network when I was a kid. And you pretty much described my childhood. Saturday morning I'd, get up at 4: 00am to watch all the fishing shows. After Bill Dance and American Shooter came on, I was down at the creek till nightfall.
You the man Bill. Been watching since I was little. I use to think you must have someone in dive gear with a basket of fish. Little kids mind think of the weirdest things. Still enjoy watching you fish & the information is priceless.
I still use a DevilsHorse and a Rapala F13 Here's a tip my papa thought us with the DevilsHorse : Take the blade off the front and get rid of it. The blade on the rear turn it backwards. This has been a tip in my family for 100 years and it works to this day
Great video, Mr Bill. It's great to watch an elder fisherman still using the old school lures to catch quality bass. One question. Can these lures be effectively used with a spinning reel instead of a casting reel? I just cannot seem to get the hang of using my casting rod and reel. Will the lure action be the same using a spinning reel and 7 ft rod as compared to a similarly outfitted casting set up? Thanks for all you do for fishing and the great TV show and UA-cam videos.
yes you can use a spinning reel for these baits not just these baits but for some to majority of these baits you can actually use a spinning reel if you want to if thats easier and your preference
