  • The first 3 Year review of a ‪@ForestRiverInc‬ 2018 Geo Pro 19 FBS on UA-cam! Jason ‪@GeoProAdventures‬walks you through every system on the Geo Pro and shows you what works and what doesn't work after 3 years of full-time RV'ing in their Geo Pro travel trailer. He reviews the RV solar power, the water system, the toilet and shower - every component of interior and exterior is examined in great detail and shot in 4K HD quality.

    Hi Jason and Renee! This is a very good review of your trailers' condition after 3 yrs! Thank you very much for taking the time to demo most of the major systems. That is awesome that it is doing this well!! I've seen on the forums that folks grumble about drawers and trimming falling apart, as well as shell to frame bolts loosening. This is encouraging to see! Have a great day!

    We bought a very lightly used 2019 Geo Pro fbs..perhaps because of your vids. Living in southwest fla now...and ready to hit the road. Thanks for the knowledge..see you on the road. James.

    Welcome back. Enjoy your vids and probably the reason we decided on purchasing this style. Epro 15TB fits our lifestyle and boondocks well. Ordered before the pandemic and picked up late March. Only about 6 trips so far and zero issues. Thanks and safe travels.

    Great update ! Your videos helped us make up our mind on the Geo Pro, we purchased our19FD model from Haylett RV in Coldwater Mi last summer, first thing we did was get rid of the filter system, lots of reports of the plastic housing cracking when winterized, Better water pressure too !. We have loved ours and don`t regret the purchase at all.

    Jason, when hooking up your water hose to the trailer, turn on the water and fill the hose with water first. That way you are pushing out the air FROM the 25/50' hose and NOT pushing it into the trailer water lines. Now, when you attach the hose to the trailer and turn on the water faucets the only air in the lines will be what was already in the trailer lines.

    Hey Jason, great video. We have had ours (E-pro 19FD) for 3 years also and LOVE it. Really well-built little trailers and so cute.
    One big tip for the toilet, just upgrade the original Dometic 300 with the porcelain Dometic 310. It is a simply swap and an excellent upgrade. (The 310 toilet has been standard on the Geo Pro and E-pro for the last year or so 👍)

    Thanks Jason. I’ve owned my 2020 Geo Pro 19 FD for 4 months. I use it for work as I’m on the road and use it instead of staying in hotels about 90 % of the time now. I love it and really appreciate your review. I’ve not had many issues only a couple minor things. I needed to add a 3” mattress topper and I find the couch padding a little weak. In mine. The other issue is the awning come back in really slow but I was told that is normal. We shall see !!

    I found your channel early last year and in Aug 2019 I bought my GeoPro19FBS (your telluride - 11000 ft video sold me). As of the 15th - I will have it a year. Absolutely love it. Mine sat in storage outside covered for several months due to Covid but i took it out without any issues and have been camping steadily for the last two months in it. Thanks for leading the way.

    Thanks Jason. We’re expecting our 2021 E Pro E19BH to come into the dealership any day now. Wanted you to know your videos played a good part in our decision to buy E Pro/Geo Pro. You’ve given very good detail in your coverage. We went with the 19BH because of the front and rear storage to allow for load balancing to keep the tongue weight at 500 pounds. Our Subaru Ascent will tow 5000 pounds with 500 on the hitch, we’ll be under 4000 loaded. I am beefing up the 12 volt system with multiple lithium batteries, 2kw inverter/charger and two more 200 watt solar panels (I’m an IT guy that must power my technology). I too am a cancer survivor and want my wife and I to get out there and smell the roses. Thanks again for sharing.

    I enjoy your videos. I purchased my 2020 19RD this June. We took it from Wisconsin out to South Dakota. I didn't get the off road package but didn't have a problem getting to a nice spot at Buffalo Gap National Grasslands on the edge of the Badlands. I plan on taking it to Wyoming next month. Couldn't be happier than the decision to go with GeoPro.

    Hello Jason & Renee! Ty for the Honest review, I’ve been following you both since I think 2017 , I was just surfing UA-cam one night and came across your channel. You are the reason my wife and I purchased a 2020 Rockwood geo-pro 19fbs, we thought that it would be our last camper but we traded it saturday 8/8/2020 . We both loved it , but not so much the way the bed was laid out (Oriented) or the storage but we made it work but in the end we found a new place we call home away from home🙂 we bought a Rockwood mini lite 2205S , I will continue following your channel , good to see you again

    Hey guys welcome back! We bought a 2020 Epro 20BHS because we liked you videos. You came through our area in Northern Nevada " Gardnerville Nevada " on one of your trips. Hey on this video I noticed your body to frame nuts are missing or loose, this has become a common problem with these trailers.

    We own a GeoPro 19FD 2020. Bought it this April. Camped 4 times thus far including test run near dealership.I love/ hate the water filtering system. 2 times I've made errors with the water filter. Forgetting to reinstall filter, thus flooding the cabinet and bath area was my 1st one. 2nd time I remember to reinstall, but I didn't notice that the rubber O ring was missing, thus flooding the same area. I was lucky, as I found the O ring back at our storage spot on the ground. So be careful with this system. Its great when I do what your suppose to do.

    Great video. The moral of the story: prep your trailer before you leave it sit for 7 months. Obviously, you did a good job at preparing it and I honestly don't think the few little glitches you had couldn't have been avoided no matter what you did 7 months ago. I am mostly impressed because I am in Illinois and I know the winters can be hard on any vehicle, let alone a travel trailer.

    Thank you for the video. I noticed when you were looking underneath that you are missing a bolt near the tire - it holds the box to the frame. You may want to check all of them as this seems to be an issue on all of these trailers. You may be missing more than one or need to tighten the rest. Best of luck!

      Wil DeLorme, I don’t know what your Location is but , I Just traded my 2020 Geo-Pro 19FBS in for a 2021 Rockwood Mini Lite in at “Campers Inn “ in Kingston New Hampshire I brought it in to them on Saturday 8/8/2020 I doubt they have even gone through it yet, it’s I almost brand new condition as we bought it last June 6/15/2020, we did not like the way the bed was oriented and not very much storage . But other than that it’s a perfect little camper Wil DeLorme, ask for Rick Gage at (603) 642-5555 good Luck

    After watching that repair video, some people mentioned that there might be a small screw on the valve that needs to be removed. I just looked at my original toilet (which I replaced with a porcelain one when I got the trailer) and it does have the little screw on the bottom of the valve. I couldn't tell whether it needed to come off, but I'm guessing it does to hold that valve in there tight. Also noticed that removing the existing clamp that holds the water supply line on there might be tricky to get off. So make sure the replacement valve you get has a new clamp included.

    Love watching your program almost pulled the trigger on a Geo Pro but after watching Traveling Robert elected to select the Winnebago 1808FBS because of having a double axle and bigger frig it’s on order hopefully I made the right decision. You should FluidFilm the frame to halt the rust. That is what I will do when my new TT arrives. One of the other reason was I heard the GEOPRO uses wafer board on the floor while winnebago uses plywood. While it does not come with solar after market is the wya I will go . I just retired from Aviation time to see the USA safely from a RV Thankyou for displaying your adventures

    I have watched a variety of your reviews as we are getting ready to purchase a Geo Pro. We are torn between FBS vs FD. I notice the table is not out in a lot of the FBS videos. I would love to see how it goes in and out, and your opinion if the hassle of taking out the table is worth it for the extra floor space vs the FD. Full-time living for a college student-single person planning for off grid living with ready access to water/laundry/waste services, but NOT electricIt’s in temperate climate. Any others who might have input, please comment too. The dinette seems to be a good study area, and I am glad the camper has solidly lasted the 3 years!

    Hey guys! There was a recall on the toilet, ours broke during a trip to Sedona. The gasket broke where the bowl met as two pieces. It smelled like a porta-potty in Arizona on a 100 degree day. They replaced it with a porcelain pot that is wonderful. My husband noticed in your video that you have a loose nut on the front passenger side on the outer frame support near the wheel. You're also missing a flange nut on the rear driver side on the outer frame support near the wheel.

I’d grab a ebike with a really good lock to explore when you can’t park near an area you want to explore. Try not to let the solar dip to zero consistently as it shortens your battery life/solar storage. Have fun!

    I'm in love with the 2023 Geo Pro fbs, but torn between that or a 19' Airstream.
    Both will need aesthetic interior changes (paint or wrap on the GeoPro outside) and other little decorating and mods to fit my tastes...knowing I'm changing so much on the inside, its really hard to choose. I keep coming back to your videos, because maybe I'm trying to sell myself on this one.
    I hope I make my mind up soon, because I would like to be on the road by this Autumn and Winter.

      My grand Cherokee has the factory tow package with the eco v6. It is rated at 5500 pounds & the GeoPro fully loaded was a little over 3300.

    • @solsticequeen
      @solsticequeen 10 місяців тому

      @keetonstudios Thank you. I finally decided on a camper and picked it up last week. Went with the new 19fbs. My 4runner only has a 5k towing capacity and I already had the towing package, But added my gain, a heavy duty stabilizer(sway-bar) and she pulls great. I was worried I wasn't going to have enough "umph" to pull it with ease...but it's nice. Upgrading my rear end, then I'll be done with my car additions.
      Ready to go take a little trip to see how she does and what she needs.
      Thank you for the videos...they are very helpful with great information.

    Hello, have you replaced your tires yet? If so, were you able to find the same size? Also, looking at my geo pro from the front it looks as though the camber is off. Top of the tires leaning inward... I was wondering if this was normal for this axle. How does yours look?

    everything is good with the exception of having a blowout with a single axle trailer on cruising speeds..almost guaranteed roll over of camper and sometimes of the towing vehicle too

      I just had a blow out two days ago going at least 60 on a freeway. No roll over, Geo stayed straight, just felt a tug. Pulled over, no safety issue.

    How does the GeoPro tow with your midsize SUV? I really don’t trust the sales people as they will say you can tow anything to make a sale. The max mine can tow is 3,500lbs.
    I know this trailer sits dry around 3,000lbs, but do you think i’m safe with 500lbs left over? (I don’t plan to travel with water in the tanks)

    • @waynelpendley6053
      @waynelpendley6053 3 роки тому

      Don't mistake the "Dry Weight" for what you would really be towing. That number does not include any water in the tanks, batteries, propane, or any of your personal gear. The 2021 G19FD starts at 3,167 lbs *dry* and can easily exceed 3,500 after it is loaded for real-world use. Besides, you want to stay well under your tow vehicle's maximum to allow for emergency braking, steep hills, sharp curves, etc.. A more realistic limit would be 80% of your maximum = 2,800 lbs so maybe the smaller Geo Pro G14FK / E Pro E14FK would work for you?

    Very nice update. Thanks! What vehicle are you towing the Geo Pro. I’m considering a 19FBS but not sure on the vehicle. V6 or V8.

    • @GeoProAdventures
      @GeoProAdventures  4 роки тому +1

      We have the V6 Gas and it seems to do well. I get about 25 mpg HWY when we're not towing, but only 10mpg under tow. I'm sure the V8 would be better towing, but might be a wash when you're not towing🤷‍♂️

      Geo Pro Adventures Good point on mileage not towing. We will be using this infrequently so a V6 makes sense for my needs. Thanks for the feed back.

    I wonder if Forest River knows how many Geo Pro FBS units you have convinced people to buy? (We had been looking at Geo Pros, but it took your video to convince us to purchase one - bought it in March and picked it up in May.) Thank you - very helpful. Only disappointment so far is storage space for clothes.

    • @GeoProAdventures
      @GeoProAdventures  4 роки тому +1

      Wendy Pound - Haha! Storage is an issue - you become minimalist in a hurry. We literally had all of our belongings stored in the Jeep or Geo Pro for 2 full years. The back of the Jeep was mainly for seasonal or bulky items and then we did the under-sofa storage mod with dirty laundry in bags behind the sofa. It all just kinda happened. I truly mean that the whole trip just kinda unfolded like magic every step of the way. I should start a weekly UA-cam show just telling stories and recapping our adventure - I feel truly blessed😇 Thanks for you comments & have fun!

    Hey Jason - good to see you back! You may remember ... I have the 19FD. Your toilet issue is most likely caused by a clogged or malfunctioning toilet water valve at the back of the toilet. Here's a not so great video of replacing it. It can be hard to get to if you don't remove the toilet, but it's doable. ua-cam.com/video/o6gIzm1c6I8/v-deo.html Valve can be ordered on Amazon by searching Dometic 300 toilet valve. Let me know if you have other questions. Hope it works for you guys!

    🧐 Looks like you have the same issue with your axle spindles that I had with my Geo Pro ⚠️ Its wearing the inside of your tire tread because it has lost its suspension capabilities. I was in Washington when I noticed that my axle had transferred the energy through the frame and cracked it in two locations causing the bathroom area floor to drop and the floor under the sofa to rise. Insurance covered it because it was most likely a pothole or trail rut that caused it. Had it reinforced, a 5.5k lb. axle installed and lifted 5" at a custom trailer shop in Magala, WA so all is well 🙂🤙🏼

      Hey! How did you know or what should I look for - I’m not sure if my insurance covers it but I’ll look into it - I did notice one side is slightly higher at the fender area than the other but just thought it was the thousands of miles we put on the trailer - thank you👍🏻👍🏻

    • @futurebalance6134
      @futurebalance6134 3 роки тому

      @@uncorkmiami3119 You will want to measure from tire to fender on flat level surface and inspect tires for uneven wear. If the spindle splays outward the premature wear will be on the inside tread. With hard enough force the energy will be transferred to the frame causing catastrophic damage. Check for cracks along the frame and supports.

    22:34 I noticed the axle lift spacers are installed incorrectly. That causes the tires to almost rub on the fender liners, because there isn't enough lift.
    Someone at the frame factory was installing those lift spacers wrong. I've seen the problem in the Geo Pro Facebook group too. The lift spacers should be install where the vertical ribs in the C-channel face OUT towards the tire, not up.
    Check my video on installing those spacers to see the correct way to install them:
