watching somebody who actually knows how to play card games beyond just "put the big number against the small one" is making me feel like a fucking ape
I'm incredibly appreciative that you voiced your thought process on this, Watching this taught me alot about playing Ruina, hopefully I can actually beat some urban nightmare stuff now! Thank you!
I took about 5 hours figuring out how to beat her. After that I realized if I do that for every fight past that, this will take forever to beat. So I started following a guide afterwards.
My first play through I did the same and just built recommended gun spam after several failed attempts. Second playthrough now I'm better at deck building and actually tried working with the mechanics. I did it, but only barely.
Impressive, wow. This was closer to 2.5 hours and about 20 tries for me using Sayo/Slash+Bleed + Salvador/Fire. It took me a while to realize that I can't win this with Light Restoration, but that seemed like a valid strategy to deal with the low cap. In terms of progress I had nightmare unlocked but played none of its receptions. It still feels a bit cheated to me because this strategy makes the fight play more like an equipment checked/damage race than actually dealing with her mechanics.
gg to you man, tried doing her for a few hours with different builds but I couldn't bring her any lower than 24HP. Granted I didn't get any of the cards that you get from fighting the 2nd invitations like tommery and such. Wanted to spice things up and see if I could beat her without those but yeah, it seems you need either better cards or better luck to win this one.
If you want to beat her without luck or better cards, I would recommend a bleed build using stuff from Sayo's book. You might have a few since the book is necessary to unlock QoH, but if not I'd say it's worth farming for 3 Sayo keypages.
I'm not sure how I beat her, it was on a whim, only somehow dying to tiny ass burn that stacked up on her. Either way Im glad I did it without any clear strat and just "Fuck it, we ball."
I was struggling terribly against phillip for some reason i ended up just beating QOH first. i think its mainly because i wasnt too bothered to make a build but QOH known to be a difficult fight I went like all out on the build and won.
Sayo's keypage with a Slash+Bleed deck is pretty strong here. Also if QoH transforms it's usually lost, so it's important to not hit her too many times with the marked Villain.
not sure if youre still on this but with the firing squad dont clash with anything unless its the cards with one-sided bonuses and focus on pure dmg, worked for me and she didnt transform into her dragon form
I beat her on my third atttempt Frist Burn Comp her hp 120/250 Second tanky team (2hp regen at end of turn and paralyse) boss HP 6/250 270/300 (yes she transformer at 6hp) Third try the same team win

This was my first "Screw it what does the community recommend" fight . . .
Fr, im struggling with her rn, i guess i just got bad rng, but i cant bring my first stage damage more than 1 up cause of the 6 passdown limit

And then theres me who skipped until i used R corp against her
im more used to "light" than "mana"

That full-stop to life firing squad gave me the edge I needed. Managed to get to dragon phase and still stomped. 😭 what do yall recommend?

@@KoikawaKei So bleed and slash? Got it. Hopefully I can get my just revenge cause I am MALDING about fighting her.

i did this after i was almost done with plaque and it honestly was easy idk why
I just suffered
Nah imagine not waiting until impuritas and still struggling
I can’t wait to get supress queenie when I get tiphs floor (I am cooked)🙏
I beat her on my third atttempt
Frist Burn Comp her hp 120/250
Second tanky team (2hp regen at end of turn and paralyse) boss HP 6/250 270/300 (yes she transformer at 6hp)
Third try the same team win
Why that SCP didn't transform into a monster?
She only transforms if the Hysteria gauge (pink) fills to full from left to right
just spam gun.
bleeding was better
