Cheers. 37 years in the game with all the modern gear, and my second lanyard needs one of these...

Is this lanyard lasting very long and not prone to have tiny knicks like I had on teufrlberger hipstar? Unfortunately after 6 months of use had a lot of Knicks not sure where they come from but with them lanyard fails LOLER test

just recently got the notch rope glide myself. any advice for releasing it in a srs config with your whole body weight on it? any tricks? seems to really bite down when fully weighted. maybe i just need to work with it a little more and something will click.

I am going to do roof work on a steep roof with a 1/2 inch safety rope that I already own connected at the peak. I want to move up and down the roof to do work with both hands free when I get to the roof spot to work on. Will the Notch Glide Rope Glide work for me in case I fall and keep me from sliding off the roof ?

Though it might work for this application it's not specifically designed for it. If never seeing a significant force or load, I might just use a form of a prussic, such as a English prussic or a distel.

Looks pretty nice, just curious though does it let you descend srt when all you're weight is on it?

It can be jumpy, not designed specifically for that. But with a belay hand it can be done smoothly. I find i rarely descend srt on my lanyard

I was about to make a similar comment because this could be a game changer if you could safely repel SRS/ single rope! I can think of so many applications it could be used for if so!

You may want to check into the camp druid pro. Bulkier but could be the compromise you're looking for

After years of trying different lanyard adjuster options (cinch, zillion, positioner, hitches etc) I have arrived back at the Petzl grillion which I use alot in an SRT configuration. It does it all.
