Not only a great review, but also an exemplary lesson in how to offer a genuine, humble and heartfelt apology. Politicians take heed ! Well done David.

I have this! Heard first about this on the wizard magic review and I immediately got it. It’s well worth it. Diabolical method and it’s super clever. I love this book test

David, that's a fantastic review! I bought the one you talked about today a few weeks back, along with the Vino Presage book test. I already own the original Mother of All Book Test (another single-trick wonder), and I agree that The End Book Test by Angelo Carbone does seem a bit superior, as you mentioned. Your regular magic reviews are a true blessing; they never fail to lift my spirits when I see you discussing magical effects.

“Our research shows that members of at least one creative group, magicians, do not exhibit higher levels of mental disorders.“ While this research isn't directly connected to your review today, perhaps your charming and laid-back demeanor plays a role in shaping your magical personality, as outlined in this article. It might be worth sharing with someone you know.

    Thanks for the review David.
Not really been into book tests but must say this has got me interested .
Love the way the book comes in the case, and will purchase this one day soon.

Hi David, Angelo Carbone has created an excellent booktest. He himself has created perfect dialog for performing this. I highly recommend his scripting for a stellar knockout performance. Thank you so much for an excellent review (as always! ) Your friend, David

Thanks for the review. This does sound like a good book test, but personally, it's probably not really for me. I also wanted to comment that some of us try to take good care of all of our books, expensive or not. :) So, while I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing to have your book test book in top condition, I do understand the point of not making your magic props seem like special items and I'd agree with that.

so all things aside, think one the gatsby/time machine book tests out there give you more bang for your buck?

Book tests are fun. And very shocking to an audience. I need to take a look at this.
Have you had the chance to review Revolution by Ellusionist? Sherlock Holmes Study in Scarlet Book test. It's very good.

Would this routine booktest work in Germany? I mean even if I pretend I shopped in on vacation?

New books can often be $30. Hardcovers can be $40. So treating a book with at least some carefulness looks normal. There's also the fact that Americans don't read so chances are they might not know prices anyhow 🤓

According to the Pew Research Center, about 64% of American adults say they have read a book in the past 12 months. (survey from 2022)

Wow! Great, thorough review! And how many heartfelt apologies do you see for an accidental exposure that's already been taken down?
Oh, be careful with the "wear the book in" advice. Goobers like me do it too much and the book looks like it spent a week in a dog's mouth. When the spectator holds the book daintily between two fingers, you've gone too far.
