I appreciate your reviews so much! I always check to see if you did a review before I buy polish. You give all the details that I wonder about and I love that you cover things that beginners might find challenging.
Just so you know 😏 I'm literally obsessed with nail polish now. A 30 year nail biter and I have decided I change my habits and grow my nails. It's been about 2 months and my fingers and nails look 1000% different and better. I followed your natural nail care routine and reviews on polish. Who knew the fancier polish (not polish that is a dollar) would be so much easier to work with. Lol and I have bought a few sets of polish that you have reviewed cause I wanted to see the color swatches and fell in love. Thank you for all that you do here.
Bummer that the formulas were hit and miss, but I can appreciate that OPI did an entire collection incorporating micro flakies since they don’t do that finish very often. I might have to get those 2 purples, but the rest of the collection is a pass for me. This hasn’t been the best year for OPI formulas, which makes me a bit nervous for the fall and holiday collections. Hopefully they get those formulas right.
Actually I have high hopes for Fall because they tend to be really good!!!! I think their best! But the thing with these is that it’s not something they do often, so it’s gonna take them a bit to get them right. As you saw on my live swatches, they are not “horrible” at all, I’m just being picky and judging them based on their own standards haha but you can get them even if you just work fast and don’t mess with the brush strokes too much 💗
@@PolishLabRat very valid points! OPI is my favorite mainstream brand, so I have high expectations from them because I know how amazing and consistent they can be. But it does take trial and error to figure new finishes, especially in these brighter colors that can be difficult to formulate on their own. Their fall collections are always my favorite too, so I can’t wait for them to announce what the theme city/country is!
Yes, that Feeling Bluetiful is gorgeous and I want it! 💙 The rest I can probably live without, but I appreciate the review and hearing about the formulas. 😻 Britt
Thanks so much for your review! I didn't even know there was a new collection out. I saw a swatch of "Don't Wait, Create" on your IG and ran over here to see the swatches. I loved most of the colours, but I'm in love with the purples, especially Go To The Grape Lengths, and the blue with mermaid vibes Feel Bluetiful. So gorgeous. I really agree about Opi putting too many reds or even pinks in a collection haha! Oh maybe the "shimmer" could be called a fleck?
These reviews are amazing! Thank you for doing them so in depth 💜 I kind of remember the first "sunset something" shade from years ago. I feel like I had one like it that was hyped up on UA-cam like 10 years ago.
Thank you so much for your honest review, I was considering getting the collection because I heard it was suppose to be shimmers, but as you've shown not all of em have the same formula, I still like a few so now I know what to expect!
I like most of the colors in this release, but I’m over shimmers and glitters. Would have been nice if they had offered some creams. Great review and details about difference in application! 💜💅🏻
I was over shimmers for the longest time. But it seems like we have had a long run of creams and I’m ready to re-stock my supply. I love both though! 😂
Thank you!!! About IS, I honestly have no idea! I don’t have too much experience with IS. I would guess that they might be a smoother formula, but it’s just a guess and I have no proof to back that up 😂
I think this collection was a redemption of the neo-pearl collection in 2020. That collection did have some colors I liked, but this collection has more interesting colors and better formulas IMO. I love the darker purple, darker blue, and all the pinks!
I actually thought that the one they did after neo pearl was the redemption (that prism something something). The neo pearl was so bad for me from far away, that I was offered it as PR by a supplier and i declined. I didn't even want to review it for free. I was like nope, I already know i have 0 interest in this collection hahahhaa
@@PolishLabRat Oh wow! That collection really wasn't your cup of tea! I totally get that those finishes and formulas weren't for everyone. There were a couple that I liked from that collection, but it definitely wasn't my favorite collection of theirs.
Thank you so much for your detailed review! I was in love with all of these from the promo pictures and now...not so much. ;) Are these polishes easy to remove? My fear is being left with glitter on my nails that is super hard to get off. Thank you!
@@PolishLabRat Good to know, thank you! I had gotten Quest for Quartz from the X-Box collection and had so much trouble removing that glitter with remover afterwards....just wanted to make sure. I'll check out that video! Thank you!
This is a fab video thank you! Frankly I’m just so tired of the direction OPI are going. Their collections lack innovation. But then when they do get innovative and the formulas are lacking. It’s nice to see more glitters however these are all colours we have seen time and time again. Malibu collection comes to mind quite quickly. This girl just wants an emerald dark shimmer green that is so damn elusive to their brand. China glaze come out with like 3 a year and OPIs last dark(ish) green was nutcracker collection in 2018. I’ve tried bargaining with Suzi but to no avail sadly.
haha thank you! - if you want a dark mysterious green shimmer, check out Mooncat's Glitch In The Matrix collection. I have a review on my channel but otherwise check their website, it was a very cool polish!
It's too bad that the formulas are not on point with this collection, as all the shades are beautiful. I'm really loving Grape Lengths and Bluetiful but I'm on the fence to buy any of them. Thank goodness for your reviews! TFS!
I mean, they are not horrible. If they were I wouldn’t even review them and show you guys or waste your time. They are workable, im just being really careful to share even the most minimal thing I notice. If you are used to working with polish, u’ll be fine with these. Beginners might struggle tho! 💕💕 tfw!
@@PolishLabRat I’d definitely appreciate that if you don’t mind! 😊 I literally have absolutely no yellows that are useable. The reason I like Opi so much is the brush. It’s the perfect size and I know exactly how much polish it holds because I’ve been using Opi forever so I can get though a manicure quicker 😂
I wish I would have seen your review before ordering several of these polishes. I completely agree with you that the formulas are not very good. I find they are drying so fast that I can't even get a very thin coat on before they dry. Trying to manipulate them, even quickly, results in a gloppy mess.
I would never buy a polish without researching the reviews first. I know it's tempting to order new OPI collections in advance but it's best to wait and then choose wisely.

👏👏👏OPI.I love flakies, shimmers, glitters...This collection is awesome.I'm waiting for an unicornskin collection
Oooh imagine that! Haha
Thanks for being super honest and thorough in regards to formula. And also for comparing similar shades like those two pinks.💗
You are so welcome! TFW! :D
Wow, this collection is beautiful. I haven’t seen OPI step out of the box for awhile. Thanks for the swatches.
TFW!! ☺️☺️💕
Great swatches as always!
I get "Mural mural on the wall" vibes from "Sun-rise up".. I like it!
Yeah but see, mural mural has a really good formula! Like more jelly and less quick dry, so application is much smoother!
Thank you for being so thorough!!
Tfw! 💕💕
Wow, not a plain cream in the whole collection. I like that OPI is trying different formulas. I may pick up a few of these
Yeah they are for sure giving us more lately! 💗💗💗
Most excited for the yellow and green, the blues and the violet thanks for review!
