- This video shows how to open and close an RV awning made by A&E Dometic. Yes the camera work isn’t the greatest but my 5 year old daughter was the camera girl so cut her some slack! 👍

Thanks so much for explaining this in simple to understand language. Most helpful.
I think you did a very good job of a step by step process of using the rv awning.
I''m a 64 year old woman and I hope I can do it all by myself.
Thanks.
Some super heroes don’t wear capes! Thanks for this video!
I refer to this video EVERY time
Thank you for doing this!!!!
Great little video! Straight to the point, and you show how to close an awning back up. I just got mine put back thanks to your video 👍🏼
We just got an RV and today was our first day using the awning. The wind start picking up and we realized we didn't know how to get it back down quickly and correctly. We did it and then decided we better look it up to make sure it was locked in place. Thanks for the informative tutorial - next time we'll look like we know what we are doing!
I have used and recommended this site a number of times..
Damn spot on to the point video I've been looking on UA-cam for 2 weeks for something like this thank you so much now I know what the heck I'm doing
Thank you sooooooooooo much! I never used my awning because I couldn't figure it out. You made me love my RV again (even more)
Brilliant thankyou I've had my rv for two years and never put up the awning. I now can tomorrow! Thank you for a perfect tutorial x
Cheryl Xavier My husband opened ours, and now can't close it.
@@knitwit7082 lol
Thank you!!! First trip with our reno’d tiny 2005 shadow cruiser & you saved me from hearing my hubby’s bad words! 😂 Bless you!
Thank you for making this video !
I had not used mine in over a decade and just replaced the fabric and forgot how to operate it. 😂
You bailed me out. Thank you 😊
THANK YOU! We bought a 5th wheel from friends years ago and we just now decided to clean it up and check it out. It has this awning on it. It happened to be missing some vital parts and we never would have known if not for this video :)
Not a Scorcese film, but it got to the point. Huge thanks, this is just what I needed to figure out the awning on my new to me trailer. Thanks for taking the time to share this!
Our daughter was 5 years old at the time, and was the one filming. Her camera skills have improved a lot since then. 😁
Thank you, we just bought a new to us travel trailer and weren't sure how to operate the awning, now all we need is a new awning fabric and we're good to go!
Oh my gosh, THANK YOU for this!!! I was out in the 100-degree sun today for an hour fighting with the awning of my new-to-me Winnebago. Thank you to you and your daughter for the help!
I think she did a great job.. Very helpful.. that tab up top got all of us..
Thank you for recording this video. It is so helpful! (I couldn't find that long rod in my recently acquired 1988 Toyota Motorhome. So I stood on a chair to do the operation that is normally done with that rod.)
This was a very informative video. Thank you. Hubby and I could not figure this out.
Awesome video. Been fighting with this thing for a couple days. No more time wasted..
Thank you very much for recording this (wish the camera guy got a little closer when u were doing certain things, but it is what it is). We drop our leg down at the rear end of the rig; rachet strapped to the ground for high winds. While keeping the front one attached to rig & secured as well. We're in a wind tunnel. But THANK YOU! You saved lives and ALOT of arguments between spouses. 😂
Awesome resource you’ve provided here, much appreciated
Great job! everything I needed to know done in an easy to understand manner.
Thanks boss. Had a friend set me up and now that I am moving locations I needed to know this
Good info man!!! Thank you for taking the time to show us!!!
Thanks for taking the time to make this video! It was very helpful.
Thx couldnt figure it out without your great video :-)
Got it! Thanks! I have to replace the release lever on our new purchase because somebody used the lever to lift the awning, it's just pot metal and it broke. I plan to push it up by using the bar itself, not the lever. BTW, your camera girl did a great job!
Thanks for the video... just bought a used Hybrid with this awning. Now I know how to operate it thanks to your video. I was just about to call NASA and ask them for help....
Thanks so much for your video. For the life of me I could not work out how to do it and now I have no problems at all
Great video Brandon. Best video on the subject that I've seen.
Legend! 👍 love the camera person as well!😃
Thanks buddy! I'll be unrolling mine in the morning!
Thank you....hadn't used it for a while and forgot how to do it....
Thank you. First time we tried this my son trapped his finger bad as it was 2004 and a bit seized. No more. Thanks B
Hey thank you so much for bringing that cure videos like this very much appreciated thank you
Thanks for sharing! You have helped me tremendously! #learningtoRV
Thank you for a great video. Your young daughter did a great job. Seems the company should have had a video.
Great video..im new to the rv game and this was perfect step by step
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. It’s exactly what I have. I’d like to shake your hand. :)
Thanks for your help. Way to go five year old daughter. You really are helping us. Give your Dad a pat on the back too.
Great how to video, thanks! Bought an older camper and couldn't figure it out for the life of me. I was stuck on the "grab the handle and lift up to release" part until I saw that in your video 👍
Thank you!!! I finally understand how to work the freaking thing!!!!
Thank you for this very helpful advice
Thanks for this, really helped.
Life saver video thx man !!
Thanks so much. Easy and clear!
Thanks for the video! Very helpful
Thank you so much. Perfect info for me!
Great Job Brandon!!! I need the model number/serial number, I have the same A-E awning but cannot find replacement adjustable arm after a wind storm. Thank you!! Tim
Great little video. We just got a White Water Retro, and struggled to get the canopy up and tight. Thanks for the lesson. If you do any more videos, please ask your camera operator (wife?) to keep the camera on the action, slightly wider lens, and don't jiggle the camera around so, and keep her (?) hands from in front of the lens. Many Thanks from Arden, NC.
Thanks That awning is just like mine I have a rod (inner one) out of the track that it is supposed to slide in. Any suggestions to get it back in the track?
Fantastic video thanks very much
This video saves us every time. However, I wish the filming were as good as the explanation.
Mine also has a third bar in the middle. I believe its just a support because the awning I have is really long.
Thx Amigo your awesome
Got it with your help
Thank you. I was pulling on the side bars for half an hour 🤣 as spon as I pulled that black strap it opened.
Thank you! I couldn't figure it out.
Any idea if it's stuck rolled up. The release seems to be quite stiff
very useful, thanks Big B
THANK YOU! YOU DO AN AWESOME JOB AT MAKING IT LOOK SO EASY ,,,
BUT I SHOULDNT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS NOW,.
,,,cuz I'll be stopping and starting your video as I'm doing each step,,,
maybe a few rewinds if I get stuck
THANKS AGAIN!
I’m taking notes!
This is why we buy the camera person drinks after the filming and not before.
Our daughter was 5 years old at the time, and was the “drunk” cameraman. Cut her some slack.
Excellent
Life saver.
Do you have to pull the awning all the way out? I put near a structure and dont think it would extend fully
I don’t believe it has to be fully extended
Many thanks
What if the tether is sucked up inside to find it?
Perfect for me.. thanks
Thank you SO much!!
I kept trying to pull apart the release rather than squeezing it. Video helped.
Thanks for your help boss
Thank you for sharing
Thanks for this!
Good instruction. But the person holding the phone\camera. You should do a retake ;)
CFH 420 My 5 year old daughter was videoing 🤷🏼♂️
@@BigBsBoards well then, pretty damn good
Thank you!!!! Now I know!!😊👍
Nice video thanks
Very helpful ty
Thank you!

Thank you !!
Thank you.
Thank you
Thank You
This was SUPER helpful when I was working on a customers RV...I just wanna know why the F 50 some odd 'tards decided to thumb it down LoL.
thanks
THANKS!!!!!
Super
Can’t see the important part, where the brace arms attach at the top. 2:00 and 2:10 ish.
UDAMAN!
Cameraman needs some work. Appreciate the good intention and information.
Good video but camera operator missed all the important stuff moving camera all over, still cannot find button at top of awning to release
Grand son's first video.
What switch? There's no switch
Camera moves around way too much and is pointed too low, at the man instead of the awning part he is talking about
Thank you! Too many moving parts. Anxiety went way down after watching.
Great info! Could you make the video again but this time, use a tripod or something? Video made me dizzy
Y
Hi! Thanks for making this video, however, I'm in an area with a veey weak cell/internet signal. So, I can't really watch this video because it keeps buffering and timing out on me!! And, me and my dogs are roasting because I'm not sure exactly how to open and close my a&e domeyic awning. I sure wish you would have included the steps in the description part of this video - given my current situation, it would have really helped us out!!
Thanks for the informative video. this helped us but whoever did the filming needs to learn to hold the camera steady and point to what your explaining about. watching the video about gave me a headache from all the moving and shaking.
My 5 year old daughter was filming. 🤷🏼♂️
@@BigBsBoards haha. Got it. Well, thanks for the info. This helped us figure out the awning on our new to us trailer.
@@BigBsBoards Great for 5 year old! Not so good if you're watching. Sorry.
Negative nelly.
Explained well. Bad camera action. Looking at your belly more than anything.
It was my 5 year old daughter doing the filming but my belly is my best attribute! That’s the money shot!
