I had two months vacation, after which I really didn't want to go back to work. Worked for a month, after which I got sick leave again. Now even a thought of work evokes the feelings of dread.
sounds like you might be in burnout. I hope you are taking care of yourself ❤
i slept from around 2pm yesterday and woke up at 9pm and then from 12mid-night till 7am this morning. I think my body might be catching up on the rest she needs.
sounds like you are giving your body what it needs!
absolutely, and I had no idea I was that burnt out. Cause I'm one to keep going, keep working, get things done etc.@@JessicaNortonND

Sleep is the most important imo..
Definitely crucial!
Absolutely resting 😴 sleep 💤 exercise just puts more stress on the body maybe some walking
It is, but I can't stay asleep for more than 5 hours. I cut out caffeine and started taking melatonin, and it doesn't do anything.
Massage is an excellent way to recover if you can afford it. Or you can massage yourself or use or buy massage equipment. Essential oil or is excellent for burnout. I would recommend using Clary sage, more bitter, orange, or pettigrain it’s called. You can add it to a carrier oil. I use my neat because I buy a higher more expensive essential oil and I don’t need a carrier oil. I put it neat on my skin rub it in lavender is also good the bitter orange will make you fal I use my neat because I buy a higher more expensive essential oil and I don’t need a carrier oil. I put it neat on my skin rub it in lavender is also good the pettigrain bitter orange, lavender, and clary sage will make you drowsy. For me, I fall asleep after rubbing it in my body all over my feet, my legs, back of my neck, face my arms.
Love the massage tip! Thank you very much for sharing!
I'm on leave from work right now, pretty sure I'm suffering from burnout. The guilt is real. My husband is still working so I feel bad about that. Like if he's still gotta work, I can at least take care of the house and meals etc. But I'm exhausted, maybe a little depressed. Sometimes anxiety gets me down. Just a hot mess. Then I feel bad about that too. These things arent that hard, right? Why can't I just make some dinner? Or clean up? Or have a shower/bath? (This one got me, took quite a while to talk myself into the bath and then I felt stupid for it). It feels like I'm so stuck, I have no idea how to get out.
Be kind to yourself during this time. Sounds like your body and mind and nervous system need some TLC
