I kept saying Vasudra was a YT-1300... it wasn't. I was thinking of the Venix.
Vasudra was our medium transport that was destroyed in the prologue.
As I keep saying: good memory, but short.
IT`S A TRAP
Can you get this off steam?
yes and no.
The mod XWAU you can't get on steam, you have to download that from their website.
The game X-Wing Alliance you can get on steam, but once you install the XWAU mod, you can't *launch* the game from steam any more... and the mod is slightly more compatible with the GOG version, so you might as well get it there instead.
Love seeing Endor with all the mods you got installed. It’s beautiful.
It's amazingly beautiful.
I wouldn't mind more fights above planets in the future... I *think* it's just a texture, like any other? so it should be possible to replace some of the backgrounds in the other battles with similarly low-orbit textures.
@@Calmputer oh yeah. A lot of space games show battles taking place in high orbit with a planet like really far out there, while in reality space stations and starships etc etc should be in low-mid orbit, and the background textures should show the planet taking up like half the screen
Yeah, It's one of the things I think Squadrons got absolutely right.
TFTC also seems to have adopted more colourful backdrops like planets and nebulas as well!
"The Imperial have made corrections to the design flaw we exploited in the first Death Star: instead of small vent shafts, they put tunnels large enough for a fighter, or even a corellian freighter for that matter, to go through."
Genius, I tell ya! XD
Somebody in the design team thought so hard about how to fix it they actually turned 360° just made more or less the same mistake again. OR it was designed by committee, so the person designing the tunnel expected someone else to put a large impassable *grating* over the entrance... but everyone else thought the grating was someone else's job.
i always thought it was off to see the imperial fleet before the trap is sprung. maybe someday a feela would create a remastered edition of the Battle of Endor missions to make it feel more epic and genuine.
Most of the Star Destroyers are actually part of the backdrop, due to the game engine's ship-limit... so that would be hard to do.
I just always assumed that the Star Destroyers were always there, just outside of sensor range and that the rebels didn't see them until they actually turned around... (but that supposes that the rebel ships sensors don't have the capacity to 'see'?)
