I have fond memories of this game, uneven as it was. But the final fight at Endor (minus the Death Star run) felt like a joyride in the Falcon. Target nearest fighter, have turrets fire.
Phase 3 ("The Shield is Down!") done more or less properly. Better than the canon run at any rate ; ) And Since you've seen me do the Tunnel Run so much already, I changed it up a little bit. Flying the X-Wing through the tunnel run was a lot of fun! However, without the turrets to help you, it was also a LOT harder (the TIEs can actually fly outside the acceleration room, so you can't shoot them until they're right on top of you!). Still haven't tried it in an A-Wing.
Wait... they didnt scale up the Defiance and Independence in the missions, yet here she is, the Home one (Defiance) being her 2200m length AND an MC85(wich she is.. read frelling legends FFS! and use PROPER made datasheed's about those ships, not the EGTW)? Broken world... Also easily recognisable by their 3 command towers on top. The 85 is just the sheer beast of the alliance fleet, and up untill endor they only ever had 2 of them around (with one getting blown up right after the Liberty was destroyed (the still even thou not as strong most popular alliance ship existing)
Lol I see you found ISD Vehement this time around ;) Oh wow! You modded yourself into an x-wing for the tunnel run? Why not mod yourself into an x-wing for the previous missions? It’s fun! You should replay that mission where you raid the imperial research station in the Kaut system, but this time request reinforcements right away and the Liberty will show up and you get to watch them duke it out with a Star Destroyer as the Y-Wings take down the research station! Take out the Star Destroyer and you get bonus points to replace the points you lose by calling for reinforcements to begin with.
Yep. It was right under the Death Star's nose the whole time! Who knew! I thought about putting myself in an X-Wing for the whole battle... but I tried the first mission and just couldn't kill the TIEs quick enough to save the Frigate. Re: Imp Research. That's a good idea, I also want to re-do the mission where you re-capture your old home... and finally take revenge on the Star Destroyer that killed your father, and brother.
@@Calmputer interesting about flying an x-wing in the first mission. I would love to see a modded Endor play-through in an X-wing. You could get easily around the TIE problem in the mission by just changing Imperial primary target orders to rebel fighters and not the redemption. The other missions I bet are completely doable in an x-wing no problem. Yey! Imp Research Station mission!!!
@@Calmputer I would think, yeah. It's just after you've heard it in this game a thousand times, uttered by like four different actors, it's just annoying to hear. It's really not that clever a line anyway.
This is X-Wing Alliance, from 1999. It's available on GOG and Steam (GOG version is superior, link in the description). Then I installed a mod called "X-Wing Alliance Upgrade" (also in description) which updates the graphics and, well, pretty much every other part of the game.
@@ronniewestherly3435 Aaah yeah, there were a few of those as well of course... but it all started with X-Wing (1993), TIE Fighter (1994), X-Wing Vs TIE Fighter (1997) and X-Wing Alliance (1999). You can play TIE Fighter inside X-Wing Alliance via the "TIE Fighter Total Conversion" mod.

It should not be impossible to mod that particular voice line out. Either replace the file with something else or just remove it.
