@@sonicplushycentral especially when you compare it to all the other home alone movies after, I oddly find this one to be the most entertaining. It has good traps, got a chuckle and even some laughs out of me, and I even found some parts creative like the remote control car with the camera on top.
I'll be perfectly honest: I love this movie for giving us 45 straight minutes of burglar torture. I'm just a sucker for slapstick. But otherwise, it's not a great movie. I just can't believe Alex's parents would assume their son is lying about seeing burglars in the house across the street.
I think the first movie is a true classic, the 2nd one was just re-treading all the call-backs, a decent enough movie but I feel this one was actually a decent movie that doesn't really do anything terrible in it's time on the screen. I found myself quite enjoying it back in the 1990's and still do now.
Everyone might hate this but I love it because it’s darker and more hard Edge than the first two movies. Home Alone 1 & 2 copycatted off each other and where not very original so Home Alone 3 did something knew featuring 3 villains from Miami Vice as well as a sexy newcomer Rya Kihlstedt this movie also features future Black Widow Star Scarlet Johansson. Me being a clever movie editor I say this movie is connected to the other movies Kevin used to babysit Alex and he is the only person he told about Harry and Marv and that’s what motivated Alex to defend his home from these thieves. I wrote a sequel putting the two main kids together Kevin and Alex I called it HOME ALONE WITNESSES PROTECTION The 4 villains team up with Harry and Marv to eliminate Kevin who is now a chief engineer for a toy company who stumbles upon toys being disguised as bombs with enough power to destroy a building and even a city. Soon threats are made to Kevin’s family and relatives and then when a hit on his wife and kids fails he is forced to go into witnesses protection and leave his family behind. While there he finds out he will be joined by Alex who is also a Target. They are put into a million Dollar Smart Safe House with over 50 rooms but when the baddies find them they rig all 50 rooms with goodies and traps that might just stop these guys once and for all. YES it is a Christmas movie Yes Kevin and Alex will befriend a mysterious outsider who will be there ally and Yes Kevin will finally face his two biggest enemies.

I actually did get a few laughs from the trap scenes at least.
It could just be because of nostalgia and even though I will admit Home Alone 3 isn't as good as the first two I still grew up with it as a kid and I loved it then just as much as I do now. Not as good as the previous ones but definitely better then the ones that came after it

Yeah, anytime I see Olek in anything, I got straight to Home Alone, like he was in Hidden Figures and I just pointed out to my family "Hey, there's Mr. Beaupre."

Aw, I'd give it a 5/10 at least. If it was on TV and nothing else was on, I'd watch it. I might even seek it out if I'd seen all the good Christmas movies that season. One thing I'd say the plot has going for it, is this family doesn't leave their son home during vacation for the third freaking time. Hughes then wrote an entirely different screenplay with no characters from the first two films.
In France, they used different names for these movies : -Home alone : Mum, I missed the plane. - Home alone 2: Mum, I missed the plane again. - Home alone 3: Mum, I'm in charge of the bad guys. So a lot of people don't even know that Home alone 3 is part of the Home alone franchise.
Another fun fact: this movie was released the week before the one-two punch of titanic and 007: tomorrow never dies (December 12, 1997) so it was amusing that a James Bond holiday special joke was mentioned at the start here.
I tried to watch this with my 9-year-old, the other day... She watched 1 and 2 previously, which she enjoyed immensely. She tolerated fifteen minutes of this. That was it.
😂😂😂. That’s what happens with most kids films if the first 15 minutes of the film does not interest them then it’s game over in watching the rest of the film.
18:37 Uh- kurwa? I don't think he said that. I remember him saying "I'll impale you with a corkscrew! Where's the disk/chip?" I don't speak Polish so idk
Having seen the storyline of "Home Alone 5: The Holiday Heist" (I've yet see it), sounds rather good and viewed the fourth episode and it's not bad at all, so I'm at a loss to understand criticism with the last couple of movies. Because it doesn't make much sense cast the same actors in sequels because they might not like the script and it gives lesser known performers to seek a role that could give them a wider audience - I'll be adding them to my DVD collection sometime soon!.
Though I am mad at joblo.com for not giving my resume a chance, I think when you do work for them it's at the height of their powers. You are hysterical. And I think Macaulay Culkin would definitely be a part of your show if you are live on camera. You do the funniest stuff ever for that channel. And I love it.
4:12 Uh, this movie came out in the 1990s meaning Kim Jong Ill was still alive at the time. Also kind of wishing they did make a Home Alone 3 with Culkin, would've been nice to get one more Home Alone with him and the Bandits.
I actually saw this when it came out. I kept thinking how it should have been Kevin fixing up his new pad for when college starts. Kevin is dealing with transition, and the Wet Bandits fake their deaths and go for revenge.
i think this movie deserves some slack. First of all, they really couldn't make third one with the exact same formula after home alone 2, they had to up the stakes. second, the scenario to this one is way less contrived and way more grounded (excluding north korean spies), takes way less suspension of disbelief in the setup. Doesn't really deserve to be hated as much as youtube critics do.
no it isn't well at the end of the day it is down to the execution The second was basically jus the first but in a different location it even has the exact same villains but at least it had the heart of the original with the original cast and crew coming back plus it was better shot then the previous one and had funny scenes. Home alone 3 has got much weaker characters, looks nowhere near as good, isn't very funny and more importantly completely missed the point of home alone .
@@rupertsmith5815 Home Alone 3 has better characters and a better plot. In the first home alone movie, Kevin is sent to sleep in the attic over pizza. lol. and his dumb family didn't set extra alarms just in case the power goes out, so they oversleep and one of the dumb girls counts the neighbor kid as "Kevin." That's how Kevin is left home alone. What a dumb intro. In home alone 3, it's more realistic in that Alex was sick with chickenpox and his parents had to work. It was no extra cheesy (excuse the pun) elaborate scheme to separate the kid from the family.

dude, this one made me laugh so hard.
bruh?!!!! i love this movie. just dumb fun like the first 2
Macully culkin is 40. Let that sink in
I loved this movie as a kid and I think it holds up
I busted so many RC cars looking for chips as a kid
I feel like Home Alone 3 could have been cool either if they got Fuller home alone or have Kevin as a teenager.
In France, they used different names for these movies :
-Home alone : Mum, I missed the plane.
- Home alone 2: Mum, I missed the plane again.
- Home alone 3: Mum, I'm in charge of the bad guys.
So a lot of people don't even know that Home alone 3 is part of the Home alone franchise.
5:27 lol Home Alone 4 Bad Acting
Could someone please tell me who made that maddening version of Jingle Bells that plays over the end credits?
Another fun fact: this movie was released the week before the one-two punch of titanic and 007: tomorrow never dies (December 12, 1997) so it was amusing that a James Bond holiday special joke was mentioned at the start here.
17:16 if they can make super Mario legos that light up and talk, they can do home alone legos with booby trap action lol
Home Alone 3’s great. It’s the fourth one that’s garbage
4:42 John Hughes reportedly wrote the incomplete first draft of Dumb and Dumber.
John Hughes didn't leave the movie bizness after HA3... That's just a straight-up lie.
True, but his career was more or less done by this point and was more of just a sad last few gasps before his tragic death.
That is why he said semi
“Home Alone 3” looks at the ‘Straight to Video’ section and be like, “Yeah, but those are really good movies”...
This was better than honey we shunk ourselves
Thanks jo blo for more awefully good movies
I tried to watch this with my 9-year-old, the other day... She watched 1 and 2 previously, which she enjoyed immensely. She tolerated fifteen minutes of this. That was it.
😂😂😂. That’s what happens with most kids films if the first 15 minutes of the film does not interest them then it’s game over in watching the rest of the film.
@@RalphJr-xp3hp I think they have a point.
Darth Vader Helmet in a 20th Century Fox film would both be bought out by Disney later on.
As a kid this was the only home alone movie I had. Please don’t judge me
18:37 Uh- kurwa?
0:50 I think I know what I'm watching this years christmas eve. Btw. is that allowed on youtube?!
Yeah, that's some sloppy censoring.
Though I am mad at joblo.com for not giving my resume a chance, I think when you do work for them it's at the height of their powers. You are hysterical. And I think Macaulay Culkin would definitely be a part of your show if you are live on camera. You do the funniest stuff ever for that channel. And I love it.
6:56 I'd give anything to see a Marv and Harry cameo in Black Widow
That makes all of us.
I think Home Alone 3 was very good since it was quite the step-up from the first two.
I don’t understand why It still sounds like you’re 6ft away from your mic. You’re not going to get Covid from it.. fix your mix plz
Not Awfully Good.
Just Good, times 10,000.
This was one of those vhs tapes I wore out as a kid. for whatever reason it was a go to to fall asleep to
Love this channel! Merry Christmas!!!!!
ua-cam.com/video/_EJsI0zy5DQ/v-deo.html movie called I love it for girls
"This is my town..." sang no one ever.
My Town from Home Alone 3 sounds like a second-rate Smash Mouth song!
I actually went to see it at a theatre when it came out. I enjoyed it!!
That John Heard 'joke' is really disrespectful and not funny at all.
Weak attempt at Plinkett
I agree
Agreed.
❄️ he’s dead who cares? He sure doesn’t. Why are you offended on his behalf?
@@godfreymitti9241 Not offended, It's called respect and being a decent human being.
I really love this movie and I don't Kare who knows.
Anychance if this is before scarlet Johansson met Thora Birch in Ghost world?
Yes. I believe Ghost World either came out in 2001 or 2002.
This whole video is the funniest shit I've ever seen but that toilet scream part made me shit myself
i think this movie deserves some slack.
3 is great
no it isn't
well at the end of the day it is down to the execution
The second was basically jus the first but in a different location it even has the exact same villains but at least it had the heart of the original with the original cast and crew coming back plus it was better shot then the previous one and had funny scenes.
@@StaticBlaster ok why are the characters better in home alone 3 ?
@@rupertsmith5815 Because first of all they are international spies and are more professional "burglars" which makes them more enigmatic and menacing, especially in the beginning when they are introduced. Marv and Harry are just two bumbling idiotic typical thieving burglars. Secondly, the fact that you can't answer my questions pretty much makes it obvious that the first two home alone movies have a lot more absurdities and logical problems than the third one.
@@StaticBlaster Ok so I do like the idea of more intimidating home alone villains the problem is the execution, in one scene they are villains pulled out of die hard the next they are clumsy morons, and more importantly they aren't funny or memorable.
You proved it yourself you called them Harry and Marv you named them not the others, I don't remember their names or anything they said because they aren't memorable .
"Because first of all they are international spies and are more professional "burglars" "
"Marv and Harry are just two bumbling idiotic typical thieving burglars. "
Now you keep going on and on and on about realism .
How come these international spies get outsmarted by an 8 year old?
I mean do you see how stupid they are during the home invasion or the toy car chase they outsmart the police, airport security , the U.S government but an 8 year old kid that is too difficult.
You seriously think an 8 year old outsmarting a group of international spies is more realistic than outsmarting dumb burglars?
and I answered all your questions what are you talking about ?
