Thank you for your quick respose...These things are hard to fine we have Pick n Pull in Ca I went a 100mi radius no luck..Ebay had some but the part number was 1 or 2 off and you are 150% $$$$$$. I'll just use the door #'s and keep checking. Thanks again Diane
@@DianeMelo-l9t you'll be lucky to find one in the pick n pull, if it's like mine. One of the videos in my miscellaneous album shows me searching every Town Car in the yard for a DDM and the workers at the yard are clearly getting behind the panels and stealing the DDM before the car hits the yard. I don't recall if the part numbers need to be the same or not, I do remember that as long as the DDM is the same size and shape with the same connections, they will work, as I had two different DDM from different wheel bases and they both worked. Can't remember if all three had the same part numbers tho, without watching my own videos.
Well years ago ddm was 300 plus the fee for labor, then 125 hr then hooking to computer like it's some mystical machine that demands dollars for service, around 700 was the final estimate. Now idk. I've done them myself. If u have a Ford or panther etc forscan is a life saver. U can hook up to a smart phone if u have cable to obd2 plug. Or I use a old laptop for just that.
Love channel. As I have done this ALOT, ALWAYS check the component BEFORE u reassemble all the pieces so that if whatever don't work u don't have to take it all apart again and always check parts. I've been known to reassemble a cv axle to drive back and get right 1 then retake apart axle to fix. Gr8 practice but unnecessary.
On those new fobs, presuming they are all the same frequency part numbers on the back? I have a bunch of different fobs laying around, and I'm going to have to do this swap pretty soon.
I programmed my fobs after replacing the DDM on a 03, everything works now, but my alarm won't make than chirp when pressing the lock on the fob, any ideas? I notice yours didn't Chirp either
Good Morning 10/9/24 ? my remotes don't work-took to Ford they said DDM. Ford doesn't make them any longer, would the number pad work if the DD was bad? I can lock and unlock my door using the number entry? Do you have idea where I can get a DDM I'm in Turlock CA.. thanks you
@@DianeMelo-l9t key pad will still work with bad DDM. A replacement DDM will either have to be pulled from a wrecked car in a junkyard, like I did, or pay out the ass for one on eBay that somebody else pulled from a junkyard.
The Lincoln Town cars can develop a leak on the outside, in the right windshield wiper drain area. The leak shows up in the rear passenger side, floor area (!). After the car was left outside in a strong rain storm, the rear right side floor became saturated and then was dried out. The car was then tested with a hose for where the leak was coming from; and the driver door module problem developed after that. -Could the driver door module problem be associated with the windshield wiper drain area leak problem? (Also, there is a very good UA-cam video about this leak). Also, could the fuses be part of the driver door module problem? (2007 Lincoln Town Car fuses: #29/20A, LF door module, locks and #30/7.5A, LF seat module, trunk module).
I made a video where I address that leak. The fuse box is on driver side. The DDM is also in driver door. Possibly related but I'm thinking the DDM's being in the door itself and it constantly opening and closing and being sandwiched in an area where the sun beats on the metal door its affixed to is more likely the reason for frequent DDM failure.
The keyless entry codes are on the same sticker the part number is. Since someone already stole this car once and I got it back undamaged, I'm now hesitant to post the pictures of the door module part number stickers. Maybe I'll redact some of the info and post the pictures in the community tab later.
Hello, after u replace DDM, do u have to program anything to DDM? my seat memory #2 is not working , i tried to replace the seat memory switch, still didnt work.
Hello dear friend im having problem with my ddm ,can i buy one used in ebay or buy new and just installed my self ,? Or do i have to take the part to be programed in order to work with my car ,mine is 2004 ltc signature. Please help@@HollywoodHornet
Do you have any leads on where I could grab a fully functional DDM for 03/04 LTC? I've got a few from my local junk and they're all a no-go(about 5-6). As tempted as I was, purchased one from Ebay and to no avail, it also was faulty. Still currently on the look but seems like it's becoming more scarce here in Socal.

Thank You! Great video and I just replaced my 2003 LTC DDM and programmed the fobs, THANKS TO YOU!!!
Right on Hollywood,
I wonder how many hundreds of dollars you saved your folks on this one video alone.
Thanks for the shout outs.

2:10 I get all sorts of weird codes on my cars too when I do those Xtool scans even though I don't have any evident issues

@HollywoodHornet link to the leak vid?
You never ended up showing part numbers to both modules. Thxs for the video

Make sure no fuses are blown. I didn't have to program anything. It was plug and play for me, with both spare modules.

Same issue. The DDM is common problem so in high demand. Being a 20 year old electrical part is risky to find a good used one.
Does the original door keypad combo work with the new DDM?
No. The new code is on the new DDM. Each DDM has their own code.
So you got the code for the doors with the new ddm?tu@@HollywoodHornet
@@summerforever6736 yes. There is a sticker on the DDM with the door PIN code.
ok mine is a 2008 so it dont have that @@HollywoodHornet
