sorry to say it but the slide, grips, and rear sight are wrong if you want an accurate replica
I got an automatic 96'. I suspect the transmission oil, filter and gasket have never been changed. It's 157.000 miles and shifts well, but I found a leak and guess it's the gasket. Should I change it?
@@JoseACardonaC33 yes. Always drop the pan, replace the fluid and filter.
Dude sounds like butthead from Beavis and butthead has had haa
@@everettscott575 I am Butthead.
@HollywoodHornet no way lol
My check engine light keeps tripping on when I blast the heat, it keeps saying it’s the thermostat, when I don’t use the heat after a few hundred miles the code disappears, do you think it’s necessary to change? it doesn’t seem too difficult of an install so I may just do it anyway
@@Fishing-RC-Florida yes, your thermostat is stuck open, not allowing the engine to reach operating temp, thus illuminating the MIL. When you syphon heat from the engine to put through your heater core and warm your interior, you steal enough heat from the engine to trigger the code.
@ much appreciated, going to get the part and do the install myself
I snapped my aluminum line that plugs into that thermostat changing mine exactly this way. It bent and created a pinhole leak that was a headache for months trying to figure out. Something to keep in mind when changing the thermostat, always a possibility.
My car only does this when it’s cold outside what should I do
Your car looks like new down below compared to mine. Here in Europe we got so much salt on the streets in winter. Completely destroys the cars.
@@neinneinnein4741 I was very impressed with the overall condition of the underneath, considering it had 215 K miles on it when I bought it.
Well thank God we are going to get a break with the weather . Can you imagine the car washes, body shops, auto repair shops ?? I am swamped with work ,its always zero or 100 mph here. The actual city has showed what they are about , total failure ,costing people money ,or their lives. Have a good day and tell Katie you need a ribeye and the fixins . 24 Jan 2025 05:15 am cst
The driver needs to sell that car, super stress case smh 😂
I've been doing research and they say if you drive your car in low gear it puts a lot of stress on your engine and transmission I would not recommend doing that they buy a part to go underneath your hood to bypass the start-stop function
@@amyruff2995 which part in the video do I say leave it in a low gear and drive around all day? I told you then, and I'm telling you now, put the selector into L and then choose the highest gear option you have or want for maximum fuel economy and full gear range. If you need the mechanical advantage of a low gear, choose it manually, or allow the computer to shift for you (as in when you take off from a stop of ascend a hill). Why is this so hard for you people to understand? Selecting L, then button mashing until you are in the highest gear range allowed, makes the car drive like a traditional automatic, or like a manual (without a clutch...which is what an automatic is in the most basic of terms). The ONLY difference is the car will not shut off automatically, it stays running when stopped and shifts between all gears like a traditional automatic, like God intended. If you and everyone else misinterpreted this message/video and puts it in L using only the 1st forward gear, and can't tell you're going like 20 mph at 5K RPM, then the poor fuel economy, and excessive heat generated, until the engine dies a premature death is on you.
At least the people in line were entertained.
Switching gears to weather . To say I am concerned about this all thawing today ,and rain tonight ,is an understatement . Theres nothing worse than ice ,and we are going to single digits at night . Body shops will be busy until next September . Tell Katie to make some chili . Good luck with weather .I am doing every errand I can before returning to SS dissassembly . I will let you know results . 5:06 am cst 17 Jan 2025
@@catfishjenkem2226 she made chili earlier in the week. I'll eat the last bowl tonight. Would you believe me if I said the new thermostat in her car already failed stuck open again? No heat still, but that's a her problem until I can change it again. The heat in my truck works great. It works well in the BMW too, but the cold killed the BMW battery and it's still covered in ice, so once it thaws I can change the battery out. It also needs an oil change, coolant system refresh and Vanos solenoid seals. Gotta wait to better weather first. I still have the Beetle engine out. I need to get the piston wrist pins machined to fit the bushings because there's a clearance issue and they're supposed to be floating, not pressed fit. Stay warm.

should have read the owners manual it tells you how to change from high brass to low brass
@@Jake-ty4bs I think you're referring to the high load vs light load part in the manual. There is no mention of high brass vs low brass parts to switch out per the manual. I'm just telling you that even after the break I'm, you need to high brass (not to be confused with high load). The action does not like the low brass. So...maybe it is you who should have read the manual?
@@HollywoodHornet in my day of shooting we had what you call light load's were low brass then there were three quarter brass then we had what we called high brass . the difference was the length of the brass were the powder and primer went light load's were half the size as full load's
then why do you think they don't cycle the light load's properly ? could it be there is not enough gas pressure to activate the the breach properly like your heavy load . and i did see a few video's that people took them apart and change two ring's . also we called them low brass and high brass
@Jake-ty4bs high brass means there is a bunch of brass at the base of the shell. Low brass means there is not a lot of brass (less brass if you will). Load and brass are two different words with different meanings. If you fire a heavy load, use the correct piston. If you fire a light load, use the other piston. No matter which load you choose make sure your shell has high brass. The load level and the brass content are not to be confused as the same or synonyms. However, you're smart and I'm dumb so and you cannot be convinced otherwise. have a great day, thanks for watching.
@@HollywoodHornet do you mean like the different shot size ? like four shot compared too eight shot or what about three inche chambered magmum how tall and how much grains of powder do they have compared to light load's
How does the electrical connection come apart?
I'm here for that question too
No guys it's not a joke IT IS NOT A JOKE it's actually working i hade the same problem screen won't turn on i tried everything i saw online like the holding foe 30 sec and the volume up again.... , bit nothing worked , the only difference i had is i had to press from the side not the middle bit it actually worked for me

BTW he is a retired mechanic lol. its been a long time since the streets were this bad .Came down Gravois yesterday near your shooting range. It was still one lane . I have to get to kirkwood saturday . I fought some respiratory crap for a week that sucked . One of the stores that I service constantly lets the lighting maintenance go WAY too long . The manager tried to blame the crap on me ,that didnt work out at all.The district manager got on the managers butt and called bs . I been doing their work 19 years now. Car research 2003
Is there any long term effects doing it this way?, I’ve been driving it in L6 for a while now to work around the start/stop and there’s now a light coming in that say “reduced engine power” and I’m being blamed for it cause I drive in L6? 😢 so was just wondering
@@amandaaguilar4907 those aren't even remotely related. There are no long term negative effects. L6 is the same as D, with the exception your starter and batter last longer by using L6. These scam mechanics must be stopped and put in their place. They rely on people and their ignorance of how cars work. Especially if you're a female. Almost all of my "customers" are female because "real mechanics" are always ripping them off and thank goodness they come to me for a 2nd opinion. I have a day job. I don't need to fix people's cars in my spare time, so I have no incentive to rip people off. Scan the code(s) yourself and see why you are in limp mode. The car will tell you if your turbo is going out or you have a vacuum leak or whatever the cause is. Transmissions don't generate power. They transmit the power. Hence the name (transmission). The engine converts the fuel into power. Hence the name (power train). A failing transmission will not reduce engine power, it will only fail to transmit the power to the wheels. A failure of the engine will not reduce transmission of power, it will only reduce power output. I hope that helps. I dream of an America where mechanics aren't always trying to rip everyone off and play on their ignorance. That's why I have this channel. To show people that when you get a "catalyst system efficiency below threshold" code, you know to confirm the rear O2 sensor is working and then address that, before some shady mechanic tells you your catalytic converter has failed, them sells you a new cat for hundreds or thousands of dollars, them installs it and you still have the code. When you could have bought a $100 rear O2 sensor, changed it yourself for free and you're back in business...as just one example. I'm not sure if so-called professional mechanics are all this stupid and ignorant or this is intentional malice. I'd actually prefer it to be malice and intentional, because if they're all this stupid, and me, with no professional schooling, is a better shade tree mechanic, then the prophecy of everyone being terrible and worse at their day job than me has been fulfilled. And that's a bad thing.
You couldn’t have just replaced the mirror itself ????

I have a pk380 for my wife to shoot at the range. I will certainly admit that the fit and finish leaves a bit to be desired, and the trigger is nothing to brag about, but it always goes bang. It is made by Umarex on Walther's behalf to keep costs low. Which isnt a good business choice in my opinion because it can tarnish a good name. Real deal Walthers though, which I also own, are top notch in every regard. Also, loading a single round like that is no bueno. Rack it in from the mag, then top it off. And your teacup grip. This stuff makes it apparent that you are not well versed in handguns.
