kevc21: that would be okay if women didn't mind sharing, but they demand for free for what men EARNED, as if she's never going to lose her looks; so you get a ten women demanding marriage with every one top man, giving him "free samples" until you have nine single mothers for every married one. Leaving the OTHER nine MEN to clean up the mess. JUST SAY NO!!!

The worst thing about dating a single mom for me was trying to be a dad to her kids and becoming very fond of them then when you break up you lose them and one day you're downtown and you bump into her and the kids and her new man who they now look at as their new father and you realize you never were their father, never will be and it was a mistake to try playing that role. Better to keep your distance.

Been there, done that! Even more stunning is the fact that the woman couldn't care less that not only have you been ripped from their lives, but they often have established a bond with you and they've been ripped from yours! Child's best interests are often LAST. If a divorced woman with children encourages a good relationship with the divorced father it is a good sign that she puts her kids' best interests first, even if she doesn't like their father.

This is 100% true. I did everything for my step daughter, took her to soccer practice, swimming lessons, doctor appointments, cook for her, took her to the movies, horse back riding lessons, and everything was okay up until the girl turned 16. When she began going wild, there was no way she would listen to me and her mom didn't support me trying to set limits. For the past 5 years it's been hell. Do you think that her mom not willing to set limits has to do with the daughter not being your biological child? And yea well, kids turn out to be monsters, when they become teenagers. But it also kinda sounds like the mom wants to give you all the hard decision making and being the no-fun parent, while she can be the cool mom to her daughter.

Women are good at manipulation, before they did not vote, now they are the dominant voters. Politicians to get into power must target the largest demographic group which is women. Hence there are bias custody, support, employment and healthcare laws.
Men need to dig graves as an insurance policy, because going through the bias divorce courts they will most likely lose.

I'm a single mom (one kid) and I wasn't offended by this video. I've seen my single mom friends bring baggage to their relationships and wondered why the guy wouldn't commit. I have a good job, nice place and the father lives in a drivable different state. we get along as co-parents but people are terrified to date me. I am not interested in getting married since I'm an older mom and I have a comfortable life - very lucky and rare for my situation. I see why after watching how horrible single moms treat men. Wow. This put it in perspective and the only women that will be offended are the users.

She was beautiful , loved me like crazy, etc, etc. Long story short: she moved out of her cramped tiny apartment and into my large home and I ended up paying about 50% of her and her kid’s living expenses. I had no authority while she doted on her two girls while being overly harsh on her son. About a year later I tried to talk to her about how I thought she was being unfair to her son while refusing to hold her girl’s accountable for their behavior. She basically told me I had no say in the matter. Soo, I said okay you’re out! She moved out a few weeks later and I’ve never looked back nor entertained the idea of dating anyone with kids...other than the occasional hookup.

My husband's step grandpa married a single mom (his grandma) and became one of the greatest role models in his life. He treated him like his own flesh and blood and left an incredibly positive impression in the life of a child. Step parents, grandparents can be great influences on kids and be loved equally back, I guess it just takes a special person to do that, and tbh most people really arent that special as seen in most of the comments on this thread.

@@JahannamHellfire I know a woman who dated an evil guy for five years. Her children had to be dragged through that. The daughter attempted to run away from home twice when she was ten or eleven. The woman chose the boyfriend over the children. She eventually left him and she had to move to another part of the country to do it. I know that she feels bad about it but it would have been nice to at least give her children a genuine apology for it.

Dated two. One was nuts, one was nice. Done with that now. Points #1, #3 and #4 I did not experience but point #2 is soooo true. Responsibility without authority is absolutely correct. Very well said. You get to a point where you naturally want to start bringing the authority you have in the relationship to the children but have to pull back because they are somebody else's kids. It becomes awkward because by having that natural fatherly role diminished ,it starts to erode you as a man in her eyes as you do not assert your male authority.
I'd add a point number 6 too. If you're a decent guy you will begin to bond with the children. If things go south in the relationship you will not only lose your gf but also a proto-family. Bad for you, bad for the kids.

    Married twice.
First time, wife was upset one day when I was not at home when she thought I should be with her. She packed my belongings and placed them outside. She later apologized and we reconciled with one strong condition. If her answer to a disagreement was to put my belongings outside, it would be the last time. Four yours later, she broke my trust. When she decided that instead of apologizing, she would pack my things up and put them in the living room, that was good enough for me. She eventually apologized, but I told her to chalk it up for her next relationship. Second marriage, my wife of 7 years thought the grass was greener on the other side. When she realized it was only artificial turf, I was already gone. I loved both with only 3 rules. 1. Know who you are, 2 Don't sabotage our marriage, 3 Don't mistake my cherishing you as my wife as something some one else can do for you. When you are a man, expect to be with a woman. If you choose to be with a girl, expect her to act accordingly.

Seeing as you are a marriage veteran, can I get your advice on my current position?
My former fiancee did that to me too. The final dtraw was when she dropped my stuff off at my job. That embarrassment of my boss coming to me and telling me to put my stuff in my car killed me. I didn't care that the invitations were already mailed out, my family hated her anyways, and instead of celebrating our marriage on our wedding day, my family, friends and I celebrated my breakup.
Now I've been married for 8 years to a champ. She likes to cook and clean, she's a kindergarten teacher who loves kids, and she keeps me in check, by which I mean she reminds me at times why I'm the man she married just incase I ever forget my purpose in life. Sadly though, we don't have kids yet because she has a condition that's preventing her from getting pregnant. Although the good news is she's slowly getting better.
What made me trust her the most was when we had that discussion of possibly not having kids, she responded that as long as she had me, she didn't care, even if we did In Vitro Fertilization with another woman's eggs, because she "would only see me in them". Sadly however, because of my last relationship, I can't tell if she has some ulterior motives or I should just enjoy the ride with her? I'm choosing the latter right now and I'm at a point where I'm thinking it's safe to assume that she's genuine and I can put my guard down around her more and let her get that much closer to me.
      What do you think?

      @ShamblesMD 4 роки тому +4

@@burmiester1 Yeah that's probably going to be the plan for at least the foreseeable future. Sometimes shd just seems to be too good to be true. Now she does have her flaws and somewhat of a troubled childhood (Mom abandoned her, leaving her with her dad, 2 little sisters andbaby brother), although she doesn't see it that way because it brought her and her siblings closer together. Also, we are exact opposites of each other, but we have the same ideals. She can get on my nerves a lot, but I blame that on her parents, because her dad's no prize either; choosing his new wife and her daughter over them. This messed up her siblings, but not her. It was like subconsciously that she understood the nature of humans at a young age.
Either way, thanks for the input. I honestly like getting outside advice incase I ever put on rose colored glasses without knowing it. I made that mistake before and it felt like I wasted 6 years of my life.

DO NOT settle. At all. Stay single for as long as possible, if not forever. The amount of pain and regret you will feel for "settling" for trash will undoubtedly leave you in worse shape than before. They used to call them "broken homes" - you don't hear that much anymore but it's for a good reason. Kids can develop mental problems or get a wild streak when things go bad. It happens all the time but taking a biological parent out of the house is usually a recipe for disaster.

@Anal Sex Stinks Just because you don't see a problem, it doesn't mean it's not there. If her kid is over 16 she's probably over 40 or even 50. That's a problem, even if you don't see it as a problem. And the kid is still his first priority, even if the kid is over 30, not over 16.

@Anal Sex Stinks It doesn't matter if I want kids or not, the idea was that any single mom is *not* ok to marry. Let's say I want kids, then for sure I don't want other kids from previous relations/marriages. But it doesn't matter too much, in the end there's a lot of stupid men out there, ready to do anything just to have a woman. That includes ruining their entire life.

100% true. I was married to a single mother. She would fantasize about eventually changing their last name to my name, loved when I got them things, etc etc. But when it came to real issues and discipline, I was a "bad father". Her words. She ended up having an affair and left. Tried to weaponize her thousands in divorce trial fees from her ex against me, the whole nine yards.

Nailed it. Single mom's have their place and uses. They can be fun when they get a break from the kids, but keep it in perspective. I avoid any long term involvement. No commitments, no co-habitation, no marriage. I made the mistake of getting involved with one some years ago. Richard is spot on with all 5 points. Learned my lesson. Never again.

I once told a woman that I really didn't see our relationship going anywhere since she had a 10yr old daughter.
She answered, "But we are married and she's your daughter!"
I held firm though. Thanks Rich.

A single mom asked me for money 2 days after payday. I wasn't planning anything serious because here in Africa it's kind of frowned upon to take home a single mother, but damn that shook me. She assured me that she would pay me back unlike most women, she was different. She payed me back with extra, as a way to manipulate me since I was pulling away at the time. Weird.

Single mothers see themselves as martyrs because feminism has taught them that their bad choices makes them strong women. She will never give you the energy that the father of her children got. And she'll punish you for whatever wrong she believes in her mind that he did to her. Your love will be returned with lack of effort. She already has the children she wanted so you'll be there for entertainment purposes and usable resources only. No exceptions.

Nope...feminism has no place in this idiot assumption..its MEN that make mothers feel like a prize and nag childfree women about it..you can't play that switcheroo...and its always men harassing childfree women to have children whether she's in a relationship with them or not... you all the ones that created a stupid precedent that 'normal' women experience motherhood and dont' have abortions..it biting you in the ass...feminism tells women its ok to not have children and have abortions too...stop blaming feminism for the bullshit of misogyny

@@TheQueenIsWithin amen....these comments and this overall attitude is pretty shocking and gross to me. I mean, where do they think these single women's kids come from? Asshole men who didn't want to be careful or stick around and who have really shitty misogynistic attitudes about women and what they should be able to do with them. Not in all cases but arguably in the vast majority. And hey, maybe, just maybe it's true that not all single mothers are like this!

What he said about the victim mind set is spot on. I dated a girl whose mom was a single mom, I later found out she goes hardcore on social injustice stuff and have weekly discussion with her mom, it’s almost like a cult, they always blame some kind of an oppressor for everything. And guess what, she eventually deemed me as the villain in her life and saw me as the source of her unhappiness. But the reality is, she was never happy by herself in the first place. Don’t ever get involved with people with this victim mind set, they will blame everything ok you
