Backslid for most of my life now I am going through torture in my mind but I have repented by God’s Grace and feel Jesus Christ near to me but this walk is seriously severe. I Need prayer
Beth Fisher I’m sorry for you. All of us may fall a hundred times as we are still little children (in faith), but never lie there, stand on your feet, and let God renew you. He will forgive you each time you fall. Trust on the work of Christ. If you keep backsliding, it’s maybe because you have forgotten that in Gods eyes, you are dead, and raised with Christ and placed with Him in heaven in the very presence of the Father, your and my Father. He has blessed us with all spiritual blessing in Christ in heaven. Take it, trust His promises, He will do it! Please take the following verses with you, meditate on them and remember them for ever. It will change you and make you an overcomer. ‘For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us.’ 2 CORINTHIANS 1:20 ‘For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace.’ ROMANS 6:14 ‘Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. Getting saved is MEETING Him... and receiving a new heart that burns like the sun. His hands glow like molten copper streaming fire. His face is too bright to behold... but seek it --- and find Peace.
We see several things of humility in these passages: John 15:4: "I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing." Nothing of eternal merit comes from us. Trust in Him and let Him fill you, instead: don't make it about yourself. Echoes of Ephesians 2:8-9: "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." That said, we are also expected to do good things, right? To keep God's commandments? Our capacity to do these rightly - in a manner that glorifies God - comes from Him. In other words, to rightly follow Him, We need Him in order to do so. It is by His grace, not our power or merit. Finally, the goal of this is God's glory, as we saw in John 15:8: "Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples." Some may think the glory of God is a 'selfish' or 'prideful' thing for God to seek or possess. After all, think of the word 'gloryseeker': that brings to mind some gladiator or other fellow whose pride is on the forefront of his mind. But consider, instead: if God is truly the greatest possible good - and being the source of creation and of life, He quite literally is! - then making Himself *look* that way to people who do not see Him that way is indeed a good and kind thing, and it is a thing that God seeks to do. Further, being infinite in majesty as He is, glorifying Himself is to the greater benefit of those of us who already are saved and abiding in Him, as well. Don't resist Him - and similarly, don't passively sit by. Be a doer of the word, and not a hearer only: I need to do better here.

@Weston Emmett thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and Im in the hacking process now. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts, especially on the part about God getting the glory, I feel wrong for even being confused about it, probably because those thoughts of it being 'selfish' would come to mind, even though I'd fight them off as much as I could. I appreciate this
❤️ "Abide in My Self-awareness, and let My Self-awareness abide in you." Giving us Himself, God gave us His Self. God is willing to experience everything we experience, including all our suffering, as each one of us. That's how much God wants for us that also we have His joy, for which He took on our human appearance. Also now.
Abiding in Christ is keeping his commandments. There is no joy when you are not walking pleasing in his sight. There is no peace if we allow sin to remain in our lives. We are to live unto him, and not ourselves. Being in Christ is a SELFLESS way of life. Love God with all of your heart, soul, mind, and strength; and love others as much as you love yourself. Abiding in Christ is not a sugary cake walk, it is striving on the straight and narrow toward a holy and righteous Lord, God, and King.
This is the part that always makes me nuts: "If anyone does not abide in me, he is thrown away like a branch and withers. and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. I'm so glad Pastor John explained it so well."
Amen, thanks pastor John. I like your way of teaching teaching John 15 and lesson in particular concerning Jesus Christ and his love for us, without Christ Jesus in us we can do no Christ like good. And if the father God those not prune us we won't stand the taste of time. Good bless you
This question has been on my heart for years. Co I went to church and stuff, and I've always been fearful of God's judgement or falling off the tracks. But I was confused as to how is this salvation thing even happens. Because I was told to say a prayer in church. I said when I was like 8 or 9 with my mother leading me to say the prayer after she told me about hell and I was fearful of such an existence in the next life. But as I grew older. I failed to understand how that prayer made any difference because I still felt empty and not secured in this Jesus thing. It was like I said that prayer but it was empty because it wasn't contained in anything meaningful other than my fear of going to hell. So for years I subconsciously and consciously went on a depressing quest to understand what is the definite answer to salvation. The Bible was in front of me but I was extremely confused, I went to churches deep down I knew that they were missing the mark, coz they preached legalism. That if I did good things for the church and obeyed as best as I could my future in heaven was secured. I wanted to believe it. But the difficulty of maintaining what they said felt overpowering and impossible to achieve. Because while I was busy attempting to obey the law I came face to face with my weaknesses. It was an impossible assignment that was immensely depressing. I cried out to God, I said, "You set me up for failure, this is impossible. How can I keep your laws when I fail at every turn. You wanted me to fail so that I burn in hell." But after sometime, the answers came. Suddenly I would get an urge to read read very same verses that I struggled to understand and boom. It dawned on me. I'm justified by faith in the lord Jesus Christ. My ability to be obedient is in establishing a relationship with Him. I could go on. But God is watching all of us. He knows how to teach his word, his methods differ from person to person. But he eventually leads a seeker to the truth. I now understand the Gospel. I now understand why it's absolutely important to believe in Jesus Christ, everything has been setup that in whatever we attempt to do. Fails. Because he makes everything move.
ok brothers and sisters, um im gonna keep this short, i picked up two hitch hikers and took them to south carolina (from north) these women clearly had drug abuse issues, and im pretty sure they were prostitutes, and one of them says she has night terrors, I told them both to pray before they go to bed, because i think there is a demonic connection, because i had things bothering me, and after watching steven bancarz (recently converted from new age) i prayed about them and it went away, so to make a long story short, please be willing to pray for Jessica and Kim, I don't know their last names, but The Lord does. Jessica and Kim, especially at night, well, just anytime, add them to your church prayer lists, spread their names on whatever links you go to, im going to do the same and get some sleep, drove a long way, Grace to you all.
Abide in Christ and You Shall also be meek and be Lowly in Heart.Proud Thoughts is of the Serpent Devil, but Humble Thoughts, meekness and Lowliness is of the Lord God Jesus Christ, and is Eternal Because That is Lifes in Heaven.
Keep His commandments! 1 John 3:24 the one who keeps His commandments ABIDES IN HIM, and He in him. Abide in my love - 1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments and His commandments are not burdensome.
It's only eternal life because it's life eternally; just as it is eternal hell. It is true that no one can snatch his from his hand but it doesn't say that we can't separate ourselves.
This is a couple of years later, but I am going to add anyway to clear up some things. When LORD is speaking on abiding, HE is using an agricultural thought. FATHER IS the husbandman or Main Gardener. It is FATHER'S Responsibility to cultivate (work) the fruit in us as long as we are abiding in CHRIST. CHRIST IS the Main or Central Vine. HIS Responsibility is to nourishes all the branches. We are HIS branches. The word used in the scripture John 15:2 is "Airo or Airei" Airo has two meanings. One is "to remove," but the other is "to raise or lift up." This is the agricultural term. Every branch in ME that beareth not fruit, HE (husbandman) Airos (raises up, not removes). The Commandment is not to bear fruit. The Commandment is to abide in CHRIST. Bearing fruit is a result of abiding in CHRIST. Remember we're speaking in agricultural or farming terms. The Gardener (husbandman) lifts up the branches that aren't producing fruit. HE places them on a trellis or supporting frame, so they don't drag the ground and have ineffective offshoots or die. In other words, FATHER Is pruning these branches (us) constantly to produce fruit or more fruit. It would be contradictory to believe HE Would give up on someone abiding in CHRIST. Hope that clears it up. We are not our own saviors. We are children. As long as we want HIM, It would be absolutely impossible for GOD/CHRIST/SPIRIT to give up on us.
"Lifting up" onto a trellis does not fit 15:6 "If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned". This is "cut off and burned", and only 4 verses later to remove ANY ambiguity. Keep one thing in mind. The context of scripture means EVERYTHING. To take scripture out of context leaves a person with nothing but a CON 😎
OH MY GOSH, 11 MINUTES, WAY TOO LONG, TLDR. Just kidding, this is something that's been lightly on my heart for quite some time...this is pretty much as I guessed, but it's great to hear the details fleshed out with scripture. Going to listen again.
Abiding means live . It's not a work or an effort. This is how we know that we abide in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and we testify that the Father has sent his Son as the world’s Savior. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God - God abides in him and he in God. 1 John 4:13-15 Or some scripture would use remain also instead of abide
Yep. Being "In Christ" or "In union with Christ" is all over the NT. John in 1 John and Jesus make it clear that we have to remain in Christ or all of the benefits of being in Christ can be lost, including eternal life. We just have to continue trusting and putting our hope in Jesus. The just shall live by faith.
I don't disagree with what this pastor said but I think he left 1 thing out. To abide in Jesus also means to actively work to stop all sins. We all fail to do this completely but that's okay. We just have to keep on plugging away at it.
That’s definitely not what it means, because He is the vine. It’s his life flowing through us. If we ACTIVELY WORK , it’s no longer HIS LIFE flowing through us.
ABIDE IN CHRIST, 3 words. We know who Christ is = YHWH become man, 2nd person of the Trinity. Abide is simply stay; if you abide in a chair, you stay in a chair. If you abide in a house, you stay in the house. The Word hard to interpret is IN. I take IN to mean "in fellowship with."
Mike Hill Beloved brother, let me try help you. First of all, what is true salvation? What are we saved from? Many proclaim that we are only saved from hell to go to heaven. But is that really the only thing God sent His Son for to die? Jesus was brutally crucified under the wrath of God. He drank the full cup of our sin and died. That means that whosoever believes/trusts in the work of Jesus, is saved. Not by works, but by faith. Now the question still remains. How do I really know that it’s for me? You will know by the fact that you start to respond to this great mercy. You have been forgiven for all your past sins by the blood of Jesus, through faith. Since He has risen from the grave it means you are not only forgiven for your past sins, but also justified for the rest of your life, if you ABIDE in Him by faith (believing that He has justified you in Christ). Believe means: Amen, which means: so it is and will be! That’s faith!! Trusting Gods words. Now, since you are forgiven and justified, you now have peace with God the Father. Yes, through Christ we have access to the Father again! Baptism is the wonderful outward sign for this new life we start. We are baptized in His death, which means we are dying with Him (our self with all our sin). Then we raise from the water as Jesus was raised from the dead, and we are placed with Christ in heaven in the very dwelling place of the Father. Remember, these truths are only yours if you believe and trust in it! Since the Father now sees you as though He sees Christ, you are His beloved child and He will love you for ever with a true unconditional love (which comes only from God). What now? Now keep reading the books of the New Testament, because right there you will find all the words of life which you need in order to do the will of the Father. But...wait. To be able to do His will, there is one last very important thing needed. Power! What power? The power of God in you, sharing in His nature, being filled with His joy, His love, and His peace! How do we receive that? Jesus said: Ask, and it shall be given. Whatever you ask in My Name, it shall be yours. Remember, we come to God in prayer IN CHRIST, not in ourselves because we have been crucified. So ask in Christ’s Name, all the things according to His will (which you find in the gospels and the epistles.) What is His will? That you will be transformed to the very image of Christ, from the inside! By being constantly dependent in prayer on the power of the Holy Spirit of God, He will work in you all His will. He will sanctify you after His image, making you holy, pure in heart and full of joy and love and peace. This is all found in Christ, who is in heaven, where you are with Him through faith! But, count the costs... you must repent from this temporal and wicked world. You must deny your own interests, and start caring about Gods will alone. You must bear your spiritual cross daily on which you crucify all your fleshly (sinful) lusts and passions. You are baptized in His death, so you died. You died to all your corrupt desires which wage war against the soul and the Spirit. You must deny your own will and learn to pray: Your will be done! Let Your Name be hallowed! You must learn to persevere and to suffer loss in this life because you follow Christ and all His commandments, like: Love your enemies. How? By receiving Gods perfect love inside of your heart! I am not making this story up. It can all be found in the Bible, the new covenant. And most Christians don’t know the power of the new covenant. As Jesus was, so we should be in this world, so that all the world will see and know that we are His disciples and that He is the only true King of righteousness! If you desire to speak with me more about this, please do not hesitate to send me a private message. Anyone who reads this, do not hesitate. We are brothers and sisters if we follow the truth and share our faith in Christ, Who become sin for us, so that we might become righteousness in Him for God. All glory, honour and power to Him alone, for ever and ever! Amen.
@@Goldtaker23 Greetings Brother, I dare say we all wonder about this, sometimes for decades. I know this because I'm a long time believer who only stopped having doubts 10 yrs ago. At some point in your life you will realize that WOW, you have changed so much that the present you wouldn't have recognized the you that you have become. When that finally happens you will Know you were saved. Bear in mind that can take 20, 30 yrs or more. But it can also take a lot less time, we are all different in regards to this. To make this happen I recommend reading and listening to the Bible often. I love all the audio Bible programs & apps available today. I wish I had them in the 1980's. Biblegateway.com has programs & apps free. Another thing, even if you stop reading & listening to the Bible (for whatever reason) when you realize it's been a long, long time, go back to it. You may have to force yourself, that's okay. Remember I'm telling you this based on personal experience. 20 yrs ago I never thought I'd be the one saying this. Finally, I think you are saved because an unsaved person wouldn't be worried about it. God Bless
@@John283T Thank you brother it means a great deal 😄 it is a difficult subject I know I am different in a lot of ways its not been 3 years for me not quite it will be in January ☺ I will have to read/listen to the Bible more definitely thank you God bless 😊
@@Goldtaker23 You're not so different, although you may be more honest than most because you admitted you have some doubts. I was just like you when I was new, anything that seemed wrong made me doubt God was real. Even though God once proved to me He is real. I would think, Maybe I imagined it. No, I didn't imagine it, the incident took place some 40 yrs ago and I remember it like it was yesterday. And I'm still talking about it. It's human nature to doubt what we can't see. Jesus knew this because in one of the Gospels Jesus tells the people if they can't love Him who they can see how will they ever love God whom they can't see. And I think Jesus meant He was worried about them. I often put on an audio Bible just to fill the room with God's words, even if I'm not paying attention to it. God's words are living and active, and I have found that scripture to be true. Try it, I bet you'll like it.
Hello. At 6:58 you mentioned John 10:28, but you did not mention that the sheep He is referring to in this passage are the sheep that "God gave Jesus" according to John 10:29, and the sheep that God gave Jesus are the ones who have heard and learned from God (John 6:44-45), Who taught us to love one another (1 Thessalonians 4:9). Christians, who do not love one another as God taught us to love by placing His love in our hearts (Romans 5:5), are not enabled to come to Jesus, and so they will not accept the doctrines of Jesus Christ (John 6:65), but, the Christians, who have been enabled by God to come to Jesus are doing the work of bearing fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire (Matthew 7:19, Luke 3:9), and the scriptures will be fulfilled.
How can I know if I have a superficial attachment to Jesus or a saving one ? Theres so many things in my life that make me doubt my salvation I'm so confused :(
Mike Hill I have had that moment too, but since our salvation is totally in God's sovereignty, the only logical things to do are to read the whole Bible and pray for God's assurance everyday. Firstly we have to believe the Bible is God's word, God doesn't lie, God's no evil in Him, God reveals His will in the word. Build your logics upon these things and keep reading and praying. God bless you.
WeisSchwarz Thank you brother I shall do I really deaire to know Jesus and be close to Him and please.God the lot but I knkw it is impossible unless I have Christ
WeisSchwarz Yea Paul Washer is great I listen to Him Charles Stanley and John Piper mainly a couple more too I got bad feelings about some like Joseph Prince and obviously Joel Osteen is the most obvious example of false gospel
Mike Hill - Hi Mike! John MacArthur teaches the word of GOD verse by verse. I listen to preaching/teaching by Paul Washer, John MacArthur, John Piper, Tim Conway, and Charles Stanley as well! I will remember you in prayer! Pray and read the Bible daily!!!
It means to abide in Yhwhs WORD. The word will be formed in Us. We too are begotten of Gods word just like Yeshua was FIRST. James 1:18. All creation yearns for the REVEALING of the SONS of Elohiem. Notice its SONS in plural.
2 Peter 2:1 (NIV) 1 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them--bringing swift destruction on themselves. Pastor John takes one of the clearest warnings about falling away from the faith and couches it in a lot of good teaching from John 15 and then introduces a OSAS doctrine not found in scripture. He perverts John 10:27-29 to make it say that being in His hand will never change. That passage makes no such claim. It says no one can snatch you out of his hand. It does not say that you can remain fruitless and not be cut off from Christ. That would contradict John 15 which clearly teaches that if you bear no fruit you will be cut off. Then Pastor John also perverts 1 John 2:19 by trying to equate those who went out, to the fruitless branches in John 15. 1 John 2:19 clearly states that those who went out did not really belong to them. In John 15, it is speaking of believers being cut off. It plainly states that the Father cuts off every branch IN Christ that bears no fruit. You cannot be in Christ unless you have been born again. 2 Cor 5:17 - if anyone is IN Christ, he is a new creation. The Lord will never leave us or forsake us, but if we turn away from Him, He will turn away from us. It really is that simple.
Abiding simply means "following the Word of the Most High EXCLUSIVELY" because Messiah IS the Word, therefore ABIDING is the lifestyle we are to lead in His Name, in LOVING obedience to Him, EXCLUSIVE and fully LOYAL to His instructions... NNOOOOO PAGAN PRACTICES... like christianized PAGAN holidays aka " "EASTER"!!! "MOTHERS/FATHERS DAY"!!!!, "BIRTHDAYS"!!!, "HALOWEEN"!!!, "CHRISTMAS"!!!, "NEW YEARS DAY"!!, "VALENTINES"!!... His warning to us: "Come away from her, my people. Do not take part in her sins, or you will be punished with her." Become SET APART unto the AllMighty.
Ephesians 2:8, ESV: "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God." Our salvation is a gift from God that we have accepted when we repented of our sins and put our faith in Jesus. If salvation can be received by 'working' through obedience, then it is not a gift at all. We 'work out' our salvation, NOT work for our salvation. We do not obey God's word in order to be saved; we OBEY God's word to SHOW that we love Him and as evidence of a changed life.
@@hikarushidou6545 you know what the problem is? Denominations! Because denominations are literally built on men's understanding of bits & pieces of scripture, if you take only this verse that you provided and others that your denomination taught you to go along with it then it would seem that once saved always saved it true but then someone like me comes along and says AMEN to what you wrote but I also add to that words of Jesus Christ himself that seem to completely contradict what your verses say "If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. John 15:6 KJV" Now, are either verses wrong? No, does the Bible contradict itself? No! The important question is this= does man take scripture and interpret it the way he wants and builds unbiblical denominations ten when verses seem to contradict what they were taught come to light those people can't accept what right in front of their eyes? Yes!....
@@hikarushidou6545 let's get it straight, I said amen to what you wrote because it's scripture but the verse I provided is also scripture and it says the opposite of what you're preaching so who's wrong? The Bible isn't wrong in either verse but I hope you won't block this out because it doesn't fit your agenda
@@chaboi7 Hey chill out! 😊 I have only clarified what salvation means. I think you are mixing salvation with sanctification. Salvation is based solely on grace - Jesus paid the price for our salvation that's why it is a gift from God. Sanctification is about living for God - there is where obedience is needed. We need to cooperate with God by putting His words into action while being dependent on the Holy Spirit to change us to be like Christ everyday. When James mentions about obedience, he is not referring to being saved, he is referring to the attitude of the Christians when it comes to their walk in Christ. Read the verses before James 1:22 to get the full context of what James meant by faith without work is dead. James 1:2-8 talks about asking God for wisdom in making decisions esp. when going through difficult times. Verses 9-11 talks about our attitude to riches or wealth. Verses 12-17 talks about dealing with temptation. Verses 19-21 talks about dealing with anger and attitudes of the heart. Then James reminded Christians that since they already HEARD God's word and BELIEVED it, then they should put this into practice, not just head knowledge (verse 25) Again, James is not referring about salvation in these verses. I encourage you to read also the book of Galatians and understand why Paul stressed so much on the grace of God.
@@hikarushidou6545 youre talking about everyone but what Jesus Christ said and he said you CAN lose you salvation, read the verses I gave you instead of ignoring them
Always TULIP before anything else with this guy. So we are instructed to abide lest we are broken off, but we can't be broken off according to Piper. So basically this is yet another superfluous teaching for "them"...the ones that weren't connected to the vine to begin with. Nothing for us to do here. We are told to abide, but if we don't that's fine too. Makes ZERO sense. This mans theology is so confused because of his devotion to Calvin.
If you are told to abide and do not, there is something wrong with that. Its disobedience. The saved cant be broken off, God keeps us saved with ETERNAL life. If you can be broken off you weren't saved in the first place.

Getting saved is MEETING Him... and receiving a new heart that burns like the sun. His hands glow like molten copper streaming fire. His face is too bright to behold... but seek it --- and find Peace.
We see several things of humility in these passages:
John 15:4:
"I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing."
Nothing of eternal merit comes from us. Trust in Him and let Him fill you, instead: don't make it about yourself.
Echoes of Ephesians 2:8-9:
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast."
That said, we are also expected to do good things, right?
To keep God's commandments?
Our capacity to do these rightly - in a manner that glorifies God - comes from Him.
In other words, to rightly follow Him, We need Him in order to do so. It is by His grace, not our power or merit.
Finally, the goal of this is God's glory, as we saw in John 15:8:
"Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples."
Some may think the glory of God is a 'selfish' or 'prideful' thing for God to seek or possess.

I appreciate this
Reading, praying and worshipping. Communion with God and the world.
I am awake to new levels of faith from this teaching. God bless you pastor John❤️
Praise God! Thank you Pastor John❤
This is the part that always makes me nuts:
"If anyone does not abide in me, he is thrown away like a branch and withers. and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned.
You wanted me to fail so that I burn in hell."
But after sometime, the answers came.
Amen!
Amen, and thank you!
ok brothers and sisters, um im gonna keep this short, i picked up two hitch hikers and took them to south carolina (from north) these women clearly had drug abuse issues, and im pretty sure they were prostitutes, and one of them says she has night terrors, I told them both to pray before they go to bed, because i think there is a demonic connection, because i had things bothering me, and after watching steven bancarz (recently converted from new age) i prayed about them and it went away, so to make a long story short, please be willing to pray for Jessica and Kim, I don't know their last names, but The Lord does. Jessica and Kim, especially at night, well, just anytime, add them to your church prayer lists, spread their names on whatever links you go to, im going to do the same and get some sleep, drove a long way, Grace to you all.
Just prayed for them friend
Thank you John, very clear and concise.
I love it! Clearly explained Pastor John!!
Great word.
Love this topic-great answer!
Keep His commandments! 1 John 3:24 the one who keeps His commandments ABIDES IN HIM, and He in him.
Abide in my love - 1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments and His commandments are not burdensome.
John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love, even as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in His love.
Excelente! Showing that 1 John portion, never saw that before as a bad branch.
Thank-you.
We are MADE NEW.
Pastor John sounded so sad when he apologized for the length of the explanation
Abiding means live . It's not a work or an effort.
This is how we know that we abide in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and we testify that the Father has sent his Son as the world’s Savior. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God - God abides in him and he in God.
1 John 4:13-15
Or some scripture would use remain also instead of abide
Is this really what John 15:1-11 says?
It seems simple when coming to the text that one must remain in Christ.
@@patrickhatcherson3416 Yes, the work of the Father is to trust the one he sent.
I have problems with this because I desire it so much but im not sure im truly saved :(
Mike Hill
Beloved brother, let me try help you.
The inconsistencies of Calvinism will
Have you stressed out. Lol
How can we ask Pastor John questions? Can I just do it through the comments?
After hearing his perversion of John 15, I wouldn't be asking him any questions.
Beautifully explained, loved the way he took this abide point and detailed it out. You can email him maybe to ask such questions
Mike Hill just be careful not to fall on false gospel with false assurance. Paul Washer's sermons are really good if you care.
Preachers hate John 15:7.
3:40
2 Peter 2:1 (NIV)
1 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you.
NNOOOOO PAGAN PRACTICES... like christianized PAGAN holidays aka
" "EASTER"!!! "MOTHERS/FATHERS DAY"!!!!, "BIRTHDAYS"!!!, "HALOWEEN"!!!, "CHRISTMAS"!!!, "NEW YEARS DAY"!!, "VALENTINES"!!...
His warning to us: "Come away from her, my people. Do not take part in her sins, or you will be punished with her."
Become SET APART unto the AllMighty.
It's hilarious how people try to fit once saved always saved into john 15......its believing AND obeying because faith without works is dead
Because denominations are literally built on men's understanding of bits & pieces of scripture, if you take only this verse that you provided and others that your denomination taught you to go along with it then it would seem that once saved always saved it true but then someone like me comes along and says AMEN to what you wrote but I also add to that words of Jesus Christ himself that seem to completely contradict what your verses say
"If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
John 15:6 KJV"
Now, are either verses wrong?
Then James reminded Christians that since they already HEARD God's word and BELIEVED it, then they should put this into practice, not just head knowledge (verse 25)
Again, James is not referring about salvation in these verses.
I encourage you to read also the book of Galatians and understand why Paul stressed so much on the grace of God.
@@hikarushidou6545 youre talking about everyone but what Jesus Christ said and he said you CAN lose you salvation, read the verses I gave you instead of ignoring them
1 John 2:19 is speaking of antichrists though, yeah?
3 years late ahh, but it’s 1 John 4:1-3
Thanks,@@dalyapaka2906 -- 3 years ago I was watching John Piper. Interesting.
Scripture interprets scripture.
Dude. That isn't what he said. And he never said a word about Calvin the entire time.
You just don't like Calvin or anyone who likes him.
