@@workingmantactical at the start if keep it stock till I find out what barrel works best for the application. Like your stock texture I did that to my old CZ455 manners stock and it works great
I like what you've done to the stock! I have a B14R coming soon and you've increased my anticipation even more. I'm going to put my Arken EP5 scope on it. I've been looking for an arca rail that would work on this stock. Did you consider any of the commercially available ones like area419? I'm probably going to be reluctant to drill holes in the stock initially and was hoping I'd find one that would attach to the 2 sling swivel studs. I ordered a Caldwell pic rail adapter for now.
Hey thanks for reaching out! I really like area 419 gear, but wanted the additional weight of a steel arca rail. Drilling and tapping the factory stock is easy. There’s an aluminum rail inside the forearm, so if you do decide to drill and tap it will work out well. Great choice of scope, I think it’s impossible to beat arken in terms of value!
Congrats on the purchase of the Bergara, you won’t regret it! @workingmantactical thank you so much for the pillow bag, great quality at an affordable price. Would love to get that bag that you have in the arca in Black Multicam.
@@workingmantactical I just bought the carbon fiber model with the 18in. barrel, could not find it in 20in. I think I'm pretty much going to do the same as you for awhile and slowly order parts to switch over to a chassis. I do have a Savage MKii I'm competing with right now. Thanks for sharing.
@@workingmantactical btw, where are you shooting NRL22 in our neck of the woods? Am also a member atNew Holland and where I film most of myvideos now. =)
Funny how the SK long Range Match shoots really well in my bergara b14r also. must be something about the chambering job on the rifles and that ammo. Nice Rig!
Yup! I used marine Tex. It’s brown epoxy, that’s why I rattle canned the stock after. It’s easy to work with, more time will go into taping than the actual application.
@@danw1089 Yup, tape off the stock, cut clean lines with an exacto knife. mix the marine tex, let it sit for a couple minutes to thicken. use a popsicle stick to apply it like buttering toast. then with rubber gloves on, just tap your fingers over the epoxy. as you pull away, it will create the texture. after it's fully cured, it will be very sharp. use sand paper to adjust the final grip texture to your liking.
I have seen some put in a different chassis and have feeding and mag issues. So i think it's just finding the right one or leave it stock.@@workingmantactical
@brianwest5348 me too. I’m going to put mine in an aero Solus chassis, but it has an adjustable mag height. Hopefully I can tune it to be reliable. Worse case I’ll put the factory stock back on and have an accurate reliable package!
That paint job is perfect bud. Well done. I just picked up one of these and the stock works but it’s extremely slick.
Thanks!!!
I added marine Tex to mine to add grip. Made a huge difference.
Bartrappe mini is the most functional bag design! And that paint job 🤘
Thank you!!!
Waiting for the video on how you did that to the stock, looks incredible!
Thanks! I think I have an old plastic stock laying around, maybe I’ll use that for a tutorial.
🙏
Nice rig and setup. A B14R is on my shortlist after I sell some of my centerfire rifles
Awesome! Which barrel would you get?

Thanks! It was really easy to do. Just some rustoleum and a sea sponge.

Love mine b14r, i been trying to figure out ways of making the front heavier to balance. Paint job looks great.
Thanks! Steel arca worked for me!

Thanks! I felt a big difference in closing the bolt between Eley and SK. Eley had a lot of resistance.
Same with my tricked out CZ 457. Too bad they don't make Federal Gold Medal Match anymore.
Thanks really good info!
@jeffsmth46 thanks!
I am interested in the bag. Is there a link or page i can visit to purchase? Great video

Nice rifle , what did you texture the stock with ? I think I heard “marine Tex” but could you verify ?

@@workingmantactical you just shaped the texture by hand ?

Now print out the dayintherange flyswatter challenge and submit your results. Lets see how that Bergara hold up.
Great idea! I’ll post when I get a chance to make it to the range!

Hey, would you happen to have the drawings for your arca rail?
It’s basically 1.5” wide beveled on 45 degree angles. 13” long.
These have gotten some horrible reviews, they look so nice.
They get horrible reviews by guys who over modify them they’re super reliable when left factory.
