  • The adult salmon had just arrived for the annual spawning season. The rearing tanks were full of 4” (10 cm) baby salmon. The chutes entering the spawning area were teaming with huge Pacific salmon all trying to get upstream to the spawning grounds. This is at the Bonneviile Dam on the Columbia Gorge. The Dam spans the Columbia River which is the border between Washington state and Oregon.
