I have been searching for a simple no nonsense video on shipping for beginners and I may have finally found it! I have a question I am going to be selling vintage and antique home decor, linens, some vintage clothing and so on, the shipping is what is keeping me from actually starting reselling, so for a beginner on eBay what is the easiest way for me to do shipping, flat rate shipping, calculated shipping or whatever other way you could suggest? Thank you 😊
Sorry for the late reply! So happy this was helpful! So If you're nervous about eBay shipping then stick to calculated shipping. Best way to do that is by weighting your items with it's packaging and making sure you have the correct dimensions. Then input that when you select your shipping and you'll be set. This way ebay adjusts the shipping rate based on where the buyer is located. If items that are over a pound fit in flat rate boxes or envelopes then I'd suggest using those and selecting those for your shipping options. Thank you again for watching!
Great video. First question, I have lots of clothes , shoes and video games to sell. What's the best thing to use in packing these items to ship? Second question, after packing the item, will that be the best time to weigh it? Last question, where can I weigh these items?
Thank you!!! 🤩 So most clothes can be easily shipped in polymailers. If they are over a pound you can use the free priority envelopes from USPS. Video games can also go in polymailers but you'll want to give them at least one layer of bubble wrap. You can also use padded envelope. As for weighing, yes it needs to include the packaging to be accurate. Easiest tool for weighing your item is a kitchen scale. They are small and can give you your weight in pounds and ounces. Hope this helps!
