Lorn is one of my favorite musicians. You know, people used to always make fun of The Cure as being depressing, whereas I always found it uplifting and heartening to hear someone sing about heartbreak and confusion I felt inside way back when. Another music video with sentiment similar to this (and a lot of room for interpretation) is Trentemoller's "Even Though You're with Another Girl"
Speaking of thinking about your own mortality in a healthy manner, I just finished reading (or rather listening to as I'm into Audible) Caitlin Doughty's book "From Here to Eternity". I'd recommend it to anyone interested in a thought provoking journey into the death customs of other countries around the world. This is the second book I've read by her and both help to allow me to think about mortality (both my own and those I care for) in a less fearful way.
i adore this reaction! you were (in my mind) correct about the msg of the video. i heard this in song the first few times, and it felt mournful, and slow obviously... but after the second or third time i heard it, i felt it soothing. only watched the music video for the first time a few months ago, and i didnt get it, but your explination makes a ton of sense. DO MORE LORN! and ty Amanda, we love you!
Amanda thank you so very much for all that you do. I subscribed awhile back and just happened to be checking my notifications when you posted this. Interesting video for sure. I worked in the air pollution control field so acid rain certainly has that meaning as well. I highly suggest you react to Angelina Jordan who, in my opinion, has the most soulful voice of my life. A vocal coach just said the other day that Angelina is a "artist painting phrases with a gorgeous palette of tonal colors". I know her music has put me in a much better place emotionally and now feel I am at my best at age 63. Angelina just did a cover of Adele's new song "Easy On Me" and would be a great introduction to her music. Keep up all the great work that you do Amanda.
Everything you said I believe that you really hit the nail on the head. The Native American belief of having one final dance before death. I get a sense of sadness from this video and the song. I would give this reaction a Love This if I could because a like button is just not enough.
Interesting video lots of perspectives... ty for the review. Good luck to all on their day if it be bad or good... it's another chance to try and find your tomorrow. God Bless

Great Lorn performance, and Amanda, listen also to the synthesizer band Alpha Portal with the same title song I would recommend. And then considering the thin mental line between purple rain and acid rain.
Last weekend, I was watching the movie Groundhog Day and Bill Murray's character in this cafe was saying "I don't have to worry about a thing. Look, I don't even have to floss" and he grabs this big piece of cake and just crammed it into his mouth and there was a small bit on the corner of his mouth. This is one of those weird, random sort of things I crack up about, and even thought that is how I can eat sometimes 😅😅
I have clinical depression. Some days are better than others. Some are much worse. Haven’t tried to kill myself and hopefully never will. Didn’t have many friends growing up. I also acquired some unhealthy coping habits. Namely stress eating. Food was never mean to me. Didn’t call me names and was always there. People were never so reliable. Lately, things have been hard. My step dad died a few days ago. It was cancer. My biological father died in 2010 of a heart attack on Super Bowl Sunday. I often wonder if I am even capable of improving my life. I feel empty inside.
A lot of that sounds like me verbatim! I am so sorry about the grief and loss you are facing. I'm here if you need to talk. And YES, you absolutely can. I did it and I firmly believe nobody is a lost cause. I'm about to relaunch my online course where I teach the exact steps I took to go from a lifetime of crippling depression to genuine happiness if you're interested.
This video , i think, is most certainly about death and rebirth, however, on a deeper level it is a satanic ritualistic birthing dance sequence .... Walking dead, in a trance, being led along by the music, Prince of the Power of the air, whenever the beats hit different intervals is when they are led along by the 'music', exit sign, leading into a web...a trap... A small window into another reality, exit to a total of 5 females in the shape of a right side up star symbolism of Angels from heaven getting trapped in the flesh which is represented when the star gets flipped upside-down into a pentagram shape, flippin an 👼 upside-down traps them in this frequency and as soon as it flips she conceives a baby....trapping another Angel to be lead into eternal temptation.....
