    Enthusiastically captivated by Air Canada's A220 aircraft and their striking livery. The black mask on the cockpit windows adds a touch of elegance. Can't wait for the day I get to fly with them.

    8:18 What one must understand is that AC keeps its aircraft their entire service lives, meaning that it simply doesn’t need A350’s as it’s 777’s aren’t anywhere near retirement age. In fact, I could see AC buying young used 77W’s retired early in Asia as they are with the 333’s

      It's so sad AC stopped operating the 747... I've never had the privelege to fly a double-deck or partial double-deck plane

    I enjoyed flying AC. Been flying to HKG from DCA since 2010. 95% of the time has been great. Flew 50/50 on business and economy class. Im just glad i don't have to fly UA anymore....

    Quite curious as to why there are few North American airliners that fly to Southeast Asia. In Manila, there are only twice a week flights to Toronto. Air Canada could bring good competition for the local PAL carrier if they would even consider a once a week flight from YYZ to MNL

    I live in Canada so I've flown on all their wide body aircraft except for then777-200 LR. I have flown on all of their narrow bodies. I really like the A220 and the B787.

      I agree the A220 and B787 are really good! They feel very similar just one belong a long haul aircraft and the other being a short haul.

    AC Mainline is eyeing the 787-9 & 10's for the additional 20 dreamliners coming soon. As for Air Canada Rouge, for now it is staying as a narrow body fleet but soon the 330's will be added as they are looking to expand their fleet.

      I've only flown on Rouge w/ their (now retired) 767-300ER from YVR to KIX and back. The seat pitch, the cabin, and the airframe (which ended up being delayed by a day due to maintenance) were all pretty Rough.

  • @mariachrzski18

    I have flown all the mainline Air Canada narrow bodies except the A220 which is on my bucket list. My favourites are the MAX and the A321.

    • @MaxwellAerialPhotography
      @MaxwellAerialPhotography Рік тому +2

      There’s a reason the 737 remains the standard by which all other narrow bodies are judged. It was an exceptional design which has stood the test of time.

    • @agntdrake
      @agntdrake Рік тому +2

      I like AC's MAXs, but the seat pitch in the A321 is pretty brutal. I flew on one a few weeks ago to YYZ and got a free back massage in the kidneys from the lap infant sitting in the seat behind me. The MAX has better seat pitch (at least in half the cabin), but why is there no inflight wifi, and why are the lavs all the way in the back? The IFE on the MAX is great, but the ones on the A321s need to desperately be updated.

    • @mariachrzski18
      @mariachrzski18 Рік тому

      I agree with your opinions on the A321 but the A321 is very nostalgic to me from when I was younger so I look at it more positively.

    • @specialcb
      @specialcb Рік тому

      They just placed a decently sized 787-10 order which is very interesting that they're ordering a bunch more planes with the pilot shortage that caused them to cancel a bunch of YYC routes.

    Nov I took air Canada 787 to NRT from YVR . Then Ana 787 from NRT to CAN . Compare the 2 airlines. Ana has longer leg room and newer. Air Canada feels and looks outdated. I used the wifi service too ; not bad at all ! food :( cool and “garbage grade “ .on return fly. I buy my meals in NRT with me . Anyway ; as a national airline; Air Canada should consider some level of improvement don’t let the “ too big to fail “thinking root to you or next time wont be lucky as like 20 years ago ( air Canada almost bankrupt:( as I remember.

    This is incorrect, it should definitely include AC Rouge and Express considering they are the backbone of AC.

  •  Рік тому +9

    I have a theory that Boeing likely gives AC a discount good enough to keep future Airbus widebodies away from them, or it’s part of some Canada-US trade agreement.
