Beautiful painting. I really like the idea of highlighting after painting has dried. Also, speeding up video during repetitive tasks is quite appropriate and appreciated. Thank you for your insights and help. 😃

Hi Yovette - well thats something new! Using charcoal to sketch on a liquid white canvas! Great tips and techniques as always - Paul 😃😃😍😍😎😎
Aww thank you dear. The charcoal works either way, wet or dry. If wet you just have to remember to wipe it off. 🤗

Beautiful painting sweet Yvette, as a beginner I have to admit I like the slow version but also enjoyed watching the sped up version, maybe slowing it down when you introduce a tree or two as a example and then speed it up,

Nice video thank you. I’m just starting out with oil painting. This new hobby idea came from my astrophotography , think Hubble telescope images, and wanting to paint some of the nebula in our galaxy. After many videos I found yours. Landscape is becoming my introduction to oil painting. I’m having so much fun the nebula work has been delayed. Yes trees are difficult but getting there.
That is awesome Dan! I think you will love oil painting, and landscape are a great thing to start with. Yes trees are difficult, but with lots of parctice, anything can be accomplished. Just never give up. Have fun with this new hobby.

Fast was interesting but as a lefty I’ve learned most from copying your moves so slow for me! Hope you are well and had a good Easter.
As a lefty Parsley, I really needed that slow teaching to begin with too. Considering all the feedback I have received, I hope I will be able to come to some in between speed that will satisfy everyone. Wish me luck.
I do like the fact of the speed up it works.

I remember bob saying this technique does not require drawing
True LR, Bob did say that, and that is how he painted and how I started. For me it is easy to do freehand, but many of my viewers have requested a sketch to be able to see whare I am going in a painting. So I do it both ways. 🌹

I was just requesting maybe newer scenes- the black canvas is always beautiful-- I’ve been subscribed since you started- I changed my name-
Maybe a crimson with yellow black sea- just ideas that’s all- always looking forward to your works-
I actually learned how to paint the florals from you- after buying - Gary Jenkins books/ dvd and the Bob Ross book- on florals- I just couldn’t get it- until I watched you tutorials- thank you
I still can’t get that Lilly that Annette did On black canvas- I have the book- but florals are difficult for me-
Maybe you can have a tutorial of the Lily on black canvas the one Annette did in her book?? Or a Lilly - on black canvas
