The first six Skywalker Saga movies has the 20th Century-Fox logo and fanfare in 4K UHD Blu-ray.
Amazon.uk says it does ship to Australia when you click the link but it doesn't have Australia in the list of Countries for International shipping?!
[This item can be delivered to Australia. Details]
It sucks that folks at UK get the boxset a month later than US, they should've released a standard blu-ray set in US because some people like me are not willing to pay $249.99 for it!
$250 is the reduced, the actual price is more than$325
The only thing that would make this pack worth anything would be if they included the theatrical release (yes the ones with out any changes) if the original trilogy.
Much as I'd like to snag this set, the one thing that kinda kills it for me personally and I'm probably in the minority of this, but the original theatrical cuts if the OT is not included. It would be real nice to at least include them in a bonus disc, much like the 2006 releases of the OT which included them as a second disc. While the implementation of the old cuts weren't too spectacular, it was nice to have it regardless. I'd gladly pay full price or more just to have an upscaled Theatrical OT cut.
I'll probably stick with the individual 4K/Blu-Ray releases tbh, just to have them next to my old DVDs.
I am with you on this...-the best $45 I ever spent was on harmys despecialized blu-rays on Ebay about 8 months ago!...absolutely pristine video and audio quality (both HD) and look exactly like official releases...I have watched them multiple times and will continue doing so as they are amazing films without all the added junk/ cg...but especially the restored return of the jedi is a real treat...may the REAL unedited FORCE be with you...they are are the only real Star Wars movies and our only hope...peace
Too bad Disney won't release the OT as first seen in theaters. They are wasting a huge opportunity to please fans and getting them back. And of course, they are missing a chance to make tons of money. Too bad.
Yep. I'm not spending another dime on Star Wars unless it is for the original theatrical release of the original trilogy on 4k.
The only chance of actually getting 4K is by using the Original Trilogy cut which is sadly missing. 2K at most is to be expected which is the same as the Blu-ray collection already out. Regards, David from Manchester, England
DISNEY! WE STILL NEED THE THEATRICAL OT CUTS OFFICIALLY! WE WILL GLADLY PAY MONEY FOR IT!
Gorge Lucas Said He Will Never Give Disney The OT CUTS Of Star Wars Because He Still Own It and he will only Give the Special edition Version To to Disney
JOSHUA ALEXANDER What a dick
@@BigFilmProductions But last year only A Select few got to see the 35mm OT CUTS Of Star Wars Trilogy At Gorge Lucas's House In His Film Room He Built
what a lot of people seem to forget is the original theatrical version of star wars 4 a new hope has never gotten a home release in any form all the versions currently out are missing a scene at the beginning of the film
Michael Liptak Was the scene Luke and Biggs? Sounds familiar...
I notice it's not showing any deleted scenes for Rise Of Skywalker. Disappointing.
I avoided seeing that movie, sounds like it was a mess of editing, and they won't even show us all the scenes that were left out, like where all of the Heroes die (for good), and we find out that Finn was in love with Rey and just didn't have the guts to tell her before (? or just kidding, he just wanted to say he was a Jedi too... which is just another way of him saying he wanted to be more than friends, right? she got a cute boyfriend? that actually meant he was secretly gay and had the hots for Poe, right JJ?).
@David Mozingo not necessarly
I preordered the best buy 4k set. But as a Star Wars collector I have to have all US versions, so I will also be buying, eventually, the individual copies as well.
I’m ordering the blu ray version of the Skywalker saga can’t wait to order it and I am excited thank you David for sharing this for me to get it
I'm definitely gonna to get the 4K version of The Skywalker Saga Limited Edition, can't wait to order it and I'm excited as well 😁😁
There Going To Be Limited Run Of Skywalker Saga 4K Uhd BoxSet On Bestbuy.com To Ship To Store for Pickup when Release
I have the Blu Ray version of this box set. I love it.
I really want Disney to make a limited edition Blu-ray upgrade of the Walt Disney Treasures Premium Collection 54 Disc Box set that D23 released in 2009. That DVD set was really limited to begin with, with 3,000 copies made and I am pretty confident that there is more than that many dedicated Disney fans that Disney could well make a profit for to release the set on Blu-ray!
glad that I picked up the complete saga collection in 4K so cheap last year and the individual versions in 4K including rogue one and Solo new version and did see them at mates place on Disney plus in 4K before getting them
2:48 - Nice cover of the 4K UHD Blu-ray release of Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980). It has the 20th Century-Fox logo and fanfare in it.
The Skywalker Saga is Episodes I-VI. No more. No less.
Incorrect
Bite me. Disney SJW Star Wars is pure shit.
@@DaveLeeDownUnder There are nine Skywalker Saga movies in all and the first six Skywalker Saga movies has the iconic 20th Century-Fox logo and fanfare.
Brad Jensen AMEN 🙏
So glad they will be released separately because I'm gonna forget that the new trilogy was a thing. I'm just gonna buy the 1-6 on 4k.
Episode 1 and 2 are not good tho
🥱
@@klarkie316 tell me what is good about them. No music and no ewan
I'd love to buy the entire thing on 4K individually. But why. WHY couldn't they release The Rise of Skywalker with the same reissue box art? It's triggering my OCD!!
For now, I'm sticking with the Amazon UK Skywalker 4K set. Too bad, it's a little delayed.
Benny Ong exactly! It is soooo stupid
My ocd hurts as well
Imagine if we got a freaking huge box set with the Skywalker Saga, Rogue One, Solo, Mandalorian, Clone Wars, Rebels, Star Wars Holiday Special, and the theatrical versions of the original trilogy.
And also puppet Yoda scenes from Phantom Menace.
That would cost $1,000 though.
You can have blu rays shipped from Amazon UK to Australia via Forward To Me in Preston
I’d rather not have to pay the additional forwarding fees - which can be extortionate.
I think the only reason I would get it if it's if it if they had the original cuts of the original trilogy
I already have 8 and solo in 4k, so I may just wait for 1-7 and R1 to go on sale. I don't like the cardboard sleeves. The 1-6 set scratched my copy of 4 when I first got it.
So glad the Australian dollar is worth so much in the UK & USA right now... said nobody ever...
66 hrs of total bonus features,do the math. Yes I'm sure in the future more stuff will be available in the future given time.
I'm good with the boxset, all I need to buy is episode 9 on March 31st
If your still having problems With The Digital Exclusive Of Infinity War Because the Directors Roundtable is on Disney+
I've watched it - it's great!
Sorta glad theirs no exclusive new bonuses as i have all the other sets
No Atmos, no orginal cut, half not being made in 4k...
What's the point?
All of them have Atmos. All of them are true 4K except II and III. They are legally bound against releasing the original cuts.
Release the JJ Abrams Cut
Yes the "Rey dies" version.
See I knew they had that power to put them on 4K UHD.
I thought adding Solo and Rouge as at least a bonus
Wouldn’t exactly be a ‘bonus’ thought, as they’re two complete movies. It would jack the price up by an extra $60
Hi fellow Aussies you can get the 4K box set at jb Hi-Fi for $400 it comes out on the 6/5/2020
Follow the link to the 4K version of ESB,but there is no 4K version.Just DVD and standard blu ray.ANH and ROTJ both show 4K available for pre order..Odd
Having all the SW movies in one giant box set is cool one i might get. Im more after the color corrected 4k yransfers of the first three movies, so I'll be waiting for the 3 disc sets to be released.
There won’t be any three disc sets. But you’ll at least be able to buy the individuals
Will have to Start Savin' for the Blu-Ray Set.
There actually was a Solo 4K reissue in the US.
EDIT: It looks like there wasn’t a 4K reissue of Solo, but there was a blu-ray reissue with a new cover. I apologize for any mistakes made.
Jacob Nacilla www.walmart.com/ip/Solo-A-Star-Wars-Story-Blu-ray-Digital-Copy/716058589 I believed that there was a 4K reissue of this movie with this cover, but I think I made a mistake and I’m sorry.
I am from the UK and I'm just collecting the blu ray (just made a deposit at HMV). I would like to get the 4K one, because the whole presentation of it looks beautiful. But unfortunate I do not own a 4K player
That's great news. I'm glad that there getting an individual releases. All I want 1-6. I'm curious if the bluray copies will be the 4K versions or the 2011 versions? And if the special features are on bluray? I all ready have the DVDS releases of episodes 1-3 which all have 3 hours + of special features. Plus the OT 2004 box set special features disc which has over 3 hours and the 2006 OT theatrical releases. And l have the 2011 bluray sets with over 40 hours. Lucas knows how to release his films!
What about the iconic 20th Century-Fox logo and fanfare in the first six Skywalker Saga movies on 4K UHD Blu-ray?
They’ll more than likely be the “new versions” - though, they use the exact same scan as the 2011 Blu-rays. Special features will be on the Bonus Blu-ray Discs. The Fox fanfares are still in tact, as seen on Disney+.
@@DaveLeeDownUnder Because 20th Century-Fox and Lucasfilm Ltd. are part of Disney and by the way, Disney renamed 20th Century Studios due to avoid brand confusion with Fox Corporation, of course.
I think the only reason The Rise of Skywalker DVD doesn’t come with deleted scenes because there going to add them to the extended 4 hour JJ cut of the movie
No way that’ll happen
I would probably purchase the box set down here in Australia as I mainly have them all on DVD without the bonus features, although I’m going to wait until there’s an official price before I make a decision. If I do end up buying the box set, then I would have to buy Rogue One and Solo on Blu Ray as well
Glad they're selling them individually dont care for the sequel trilogy wish they would include the original theatrical version
Im probably going to get the Standard 4K releases here in the United states. That way I don't have to get all of them at once and dish out $249 at once. I'll probably grab Rise of Skywalker, Force Awakens and Last Jedi first. Then after I'll get the Original trilogy. Then Solo, Rouge one, Attack of the Clones, Phantom Menace and Revenge of the Sith Over time
google 4k77. They are transferring the original unaltered trilogy in 4k from a real 35 mm print!
Dave Pyle Yep, I’m more excited for those than any Disney SW media haha. Star Wars+Jedi are finished, and they’re working on Empire as we speak.
4K box set (Amazon exclusive) will be had by me day one in addition to all UK releases of rise of Skywalker.
I really hope that here in the UK we don’t get a repeat performance of what Disney has been doing with the MCU in terms of the back catalogue.
I mean finally as of March 30 (coincidently the same day that Frozen 2 is released) all the MCU movies will be available for purchase as guardians volume one and Ant man will be released with various versions included.
I’m just hoping we get individual releases for all the films on 4K (Minus last Jedi, solo and rise of skywalker of course because I already have a 4K release of those ) because I’ll purchase them as well, again as a Star Wars home video collector.
When I pick up the Amazon 4K exclusive box set I’m telling you right now that won’t get opened at all because I literally wanna keep it as a collector‘s peace.
Then at some point at a later date I will pick up the Blu-ray and DVD skywalker saga box sets.
I’m kind of hoping at some point this year we might also get a 4K steelbook collection exclusive to Zavvi.
Outside of Marvel Studios and Star Wars I’ve already decided that I’m going to start buying my Disney 4K‘s from the US regardless because at least everybody stateside doesn’t get the shaft in the 4K sense of the word.
I’ve always known Disney don’t like throwing out 4K releases in the UK home video market anyway so there is that aspect to it even if they’re not taking their time.
I guess there is also no hope for Disney to release from Star Wars to Jedi: the making of a saga documentary from 1983 to put into the Skywalker saga special features.
If I’m honest in terms of special features I’d love a complete compendium including the aforementioned from Star Wars to Jedi.
is the digital code for the films the same as the previous release
this is because it would differentiate from disney plus version of the films
what will get me to buy the discs with the digital codes
is a reassurance that the digitals are Not the same as the disney plus versions of the original trilogy
disney needs to come out with more details about these releases
in hd only and not 4k's of the films
How to know if they have portuguese subtitles?
The Next 4Ks Disney will plan to release after This & The Remaining 5 Pixar Films Next Month will be these.
1. The Pirates of the Caribbean 1,2,3 & 4
2. Most of Touchstone Movies
3. Most of Hollywood Pictures Movies
4. The Remaining Walt Disney Signature Collection titles (such as Snow White, Pinocchio)
I can definitely see them releasing the Pirates movies on 4K - but certainly not many of any of the Touchstone / Hollywood Pictures movies. They barely released many of them on Blu-ray as it is. I’d be surprised if many of them even have 4K transfers.
As for Signatures - it’s still yet to be seen if the studio is willing to delve into Walt-era girls in 4K.
@@DaveLeeDownUnder for Miramax Movies that Disney released how will some of them go to 4K.
Like Adventures in Babysitting (1987).

From Blu-ray to 4K? Yes.

They're not included in any version.

Still haven't decided if I'm grabbing individuals or the boxset! More than likely individuals, but I'm waiting for a multi-buy sale!
No deleted scenes for Rise of Skywalker because there aren't any.
They crammed every half-baked scene into the theatrical release.
Think I’m gonna hold out for awhile to see if they release them in steelbook , love me a steelbook

Franz Liszt Disney Say There is Going to Be A Limited Run Of The 4K UHD BoxSet Of Skywalker Saga And The Individual Boxes Will Be The Same As The Blue Rays Box Art from Last Year And it Also A Limited Run But This Time There not going to Do A Steelbook Version Like They Have Done in the Past
How come does Disney not include Dolby Vision color tracks to their 4Ks?
Wait wait wait what box sets are you talking about with the missing bonus features I don’t understand what your talking about I have the original trilogy and the prequel trilogy box set the set with them both in one set but the only bonus features are commentary I don’t understand this what’s missing? What do you mean other box set with bonus features I don’t understand
You obviously have one of the later boxsets. The very first Blu-ray boxset released, with the first six films, had over 40 hours of bonus split across three bonus discs. Later sets obviously didn’t have the bonus discs.
Why is it that none of these unboxing videos include a listing of exactly what bonus content we’re getting with this set? That’s what I care most about: which commentaries/documentaries/bloopers/galleries/teasers/trailers/television specials, et cetera do we get? Do we also get the alternate IMAX cut of Attack of the Clones? Phantom Menace 3D, and the sequel trilogy 3D? I mean, can I get rid of my 2011 box set, or does this have ALL that plus the sequel trilogy stuff? Thanks to anyone in-advance who can confirm.
This isn't an "unboxing" video. This is an "announcement" video, which I put together two months ago when the set was announced. All I had to go off was information Disney released in their press release - which did not detail the bonus content, as I mentioned in the video itself.
While I don't have the set in hand, I can tell you there is no 3D versions of ANY of the movies in the set, or any alternate / IMAX cuts.
Go to bluray.com, they have full rundowns of each disc and their included features.
Dave Lee Down Under THANK YOU!! I’ve spent hours trying to find out that information, and have been so frustrated no one seems to be discussing what should be the most curious questions. I really appreciate Your response!
The ultimate question is: this version will include the terrible change that D+ put on han vs greedo scene
???
Terrible? It's one fucking word added. My God stop being a drama queen
I'm gonna get the 4k edition, I own a Sony A1 65 inch Oled 4k TV it would be a crime not to get the 4K set. Speaking of 4k sets I know this isn't related but I think it's a travesty that the Infinity Saga was so limited and never had a UK release and I hope and prey Disney have the good sense to release something like this in the UK in the future.
Sounds like a mess and contrived box set that's missing alot of deleted scenes for the sequel Trilogy (I wonder why !!!). I only want the original Trilogy (pre 1997) in 4k, everything else can go in the store clearance bargain bin, landfill or scavenged for from the high seas !!!
First I would have to see some detailed analysis on the 4K Transfer. Second, I’m not buying the boxset since it will include the Non Cannon Sequel Trilogy.
Except it is canon whether you like it or not 🤷🏻♂️. If you need “detailed analysis” just get a Disney+ free trial and test them for yourself
Dave Lee Down Under , The Star Wars Trilogy concluded with The Return of The Jedi. I do have Disney Plus though.
@@joehenry9546 Actually, Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019) is the final chapter of the Skywalker Saga.
Naminski , sorry. I don’t recognize that film as cannon. Wasn’t produced, written, or directed by Lucas. At best it’s a poor fan fiction film with an expensive budget.
Do they come will all the same bonus features as The Complete Saga?
I hope so. It will have movie trailers and TV spots for all nine Skywalker Saga movies.
Already preordered the target Digi book version of ROSW. Looking forward to it.
Here we go! Seems everyone in the comments isn't cancelling their pre order like Game of Thrones.
I really want this set but knowing how much boxsets go for in Aus I may buy these individually.
Will episode 4-6 be the theatrical versions that everyone and their grandmother have been waiting for or are they just Lucas tampered versions again?

200 bucks for a release that doesn't even include the original theatrical versions of the ORIGINAL Trilogy..... and the dubs are also ONLY Dolby Digital Plus now (EVEN on the UHD Discs >_< )... and not Dolby TruHD anymore, like with the 20th Century Fox Blu-ray release.... I would like a Han Solo/Boba Fett crossover
It could be a Disney+ series called Star Wars: The Hunting

Any good features on the blu rays
It’s all in the video
So basically Disney have put no effort into this release. They inherited the 4k remasters that Lucasfilm had already done when they purchased them and have just packaged them up with the existing special features. Had they put time and money into it, it probably would have come out a year or 2 down the line.
Wouldn't surprise me if it's a JB exclusive again
Is there any way we can finally see these in 3D using the new changes?
Not unless they release them
Oh...sad.
So surprising. Star Wars blue rays. AGAIN
Do you reckon they will release most of the extended scenes
If they’re not being released now, I have a hard time believing they will. Though, never say never.
Pretty sure the prequels (attack and revenge) weren’t even 2K but rather just 1080p
Yup. They were shot on HD Video bellow 2K so a UHD release is one of the most pointless upscales since the "Mad Max Fury Road" UHD release. Unless they got Disneys Upscale treatment which they used for the 4K versions of the Original trilogy. Say what you want about Disney but technology wise they were always the most state-of-the-Art. Even when Walt himself was still alive since he was the technological driving force.
Yep they were indeed shot at 1080, but did in fact receive 2K DIs as their original master. So they were essentially upscaled to begin with - now upscaled again. Going by the Disney+ transfers though, they still look quite nice.

Unrelated, but Dave, what job do you have? I assume you must have a way of affording all your movies and merch.
I’m currently YouTubing full time. But up until 2 years ago I worked as a freelance photographic assistant for about 10 years.
@@DaveLeeDownUnder I see. You seem to spend a lot of time on your videos and watching movies, so it makes sense that you're doing UA-cam full time. My parents think that UA-cam should be a hobby and not a job, but I think they underestimate how much work is involved. Anyway, keep up the great work!
