The food chain is completely messed up in this country 😂. Don’t be to surprised about what you seeing here. That brown snake is a hatchling very very young and doesn’t have much strength. An adult brown would break that web in a second and eat the spider with out even thinking about it.

That’s a hatchling brown snake. There is no possible way an adult Brown would worry about a spider that size. It would break its web and kill the spider in seconds.

A red back spider female maximum size is 15mm
So either the snake is actually very small or it is not a red back spider.
I would say it is not because the red back has a black body with a red stripe at the back
But I would love to know what kind of spider it is then ??

I've seen spiders get lizards but I've never seen spiders go after a snake pretty wild.
Just out of curiosity does the snake die from being in the web for a long period of time? Or does the spiders have venom that kills the snake?
I'm a little confused on what actually kills the snake. Plus a snake can go months with no food and water before dying. If it dies from being stuck in the web then the spider will have a very long time wait for dinner. Or does the spider start eating the snake while it's still alive? Anyone know the answer to my questions?
