It took to many bites to subdue that rat! It needs to be fed mice or hoppers! You shouldn't have venomous snakes if you're not going to take care of them properly. 😡
Possible reason it took so long for the venom to kick in was that it may have been giving dry bites, more of a series of “piss off, leave me alone” bites, until it realized it’s feeding time and allowed more venom to flow, but even if it’s doing a smaller amount, it’ll take longer for the venom to take effect.

I have 2 major issues with this!
1- Your enclosure is way to small for that Rattlesnake its enclosure should be a little over the length of its body and it needs a proper hide.
2- That rat is too big for that rattlesnake! It took to many bites to subdue that rat! It needs to be fed mice or hoppers!
You shouldn't have venomous snakes if you're not going to take care of them properly. 😡
I believe that enclosure is meant for feeding
Possible reason it took so long for the venom to kick in was that it may have been giving dry bites, more of a series of “piss off, leave me alone” bites, until it realized it’s feeding time and allowed more venom to flow, but even if it’s doing a smaller amount, it’ll take longer for the venom to take effect.
It’s a feeding tub.
The rat is the same size as the biggest part of its body it’s a fine size
@@elvisdepressly4920 exactly you don't feed venomous snakes in the same enclosure if you hold them or move them around so that girl a dumbass plus that snake is venomous it can kill a man her saying it took a long time to kill that rat is bullshit it was already dead it just didn't eat it yet
Amazing how the circle of life works. Didn't think the diamondback would sit there contemplating instead of just going for it.

Ist because his venmon sacs havent fully developed
His tail was raddlin faster than i can comprehend basic algebra 😂
Too weak venom or mouse is just quite immune. Multiple strikes and it survives past 20min
Snake prey also tend to run away when they get bitten in the wild, pumping the venom through their blood even faster too. That mouse there couldn't run very far.
“quite immune”
You mean resistant. Even so, I don’t think that’s the case here. Rattlesnake venom are typically weak, which allows their prey to survive minutes after they were bitten.
all i can say is humans are the most dangerous & cruel creators on this earth

@Senator Armstrong well, the answer is not to keep snakes in captivity... Let them live how they should do...thus letting other creatures eg mice live with a fighting chance also....and certainly don't put videos up of live feeding as morbid entertainment as this shows more about the sick mindset of the snake owner than anything else.
Real question : why is the snake waiting so long and is the tinkling important in the hunting ?
It wants to make sure the mouse is fully dead before swallowing it
From the snakes perspective,, mice are like pitbull, it would be very dangerous to have that squirming around scratching and biting around inside the snake, with full access to all of its vital organs

Sure, live feeding is hard to watch. But some of these snakes need to be kept in captivity to harvest venom needed for making anti venom for snakebites that happen in the wild.

I see a bunch of snowflakes
Apparently it’s normal for the venom to take a long time to work -
1. The snake bites.
2. The mouse wanders away.
3. The mouse collapses.
4. The snake collects its unconscious dinner.
Incredible how nature works.
