Brilliant Chris. So glad you did this “how-to”. The maintenance requirements on this species might scare off some bonsai practitioners for sure. I’m trying to decide if I’ve got what it takes to attempt a lemon cypress
Ah, Chris, you're the man...Such a great demonstration and next thing you know you've got a wonderful starter... Really appreciate the time and effort to bring this to your worthy followers...Thanks so much...Going to bring my Cypress in and start the work just as soon as I watch your video, three more times🤣 THANKS FOR SHARING!!!
Very original and innovative. I’ve been Bonsai for many years. Seeing new species and cultivars is delight as in your very artistic video. Congratulations ❤🎉
Great demo, thanks for sharing. I just saw these in my local grocery store. Now I'm tempted to buy one and follow your lead. I love your older tree, beautiful. I wouldn't have thought to make a cypress into a deciduous style tree, but it really works and appeals to me.
I’m deffo going to try this, I’m sure you made it look a lot easier than it is but they are pretty cheap trees to buy and that fits my requirements perfectly. Thanks for sharing
Chris this was very informative and has helped a lot as my 1st try with Bonsai was a lemon Cypress and was a disaster but now its a windswept so not as bad
Great lemon cypress Chris. I struggle to get back bud on mine. I keep trimming the ends to prevent branches growing leggy. Could just be the species I’m not sure. Yours looks awesome.
I just picked up 5 of these at one of my local big box stores to make a forest. Thanks for making this, it is so helpful! Do these backbud on old wood?
They sell these trees in the stores for the holidays. I never had success to keep them alive. Tried a few. Watching and seeing. Any ideas what to do with these once purchased?
