When you download the craft, it may say something like “X part is incompatible.” This message appears because I have some mods installed that change the craft file by default, even though no modded parts are in the craft. You should be able to just hit continue and it’ll load in fine - Розваги
Ok so quite a few people have said the craft file is not working. I'm looking into a fix and will repost it as soon as possible, sorry guys!

Not that i dont agree with you. They made a great tutorial but i wouldn’t say they explained everything great. Dont play a tutorial video sped up. Always say what part you have put down and what options for that part are selected

This is great. I never thought this was possible in stock. Some great tricks there like making the whole rocket look via the large fairing, and the use of hinge and structural panels rather than wings to reduce life. Shame you need so many reaction wheels but maybe they can be left out if you reduce engine thrust at apogee like SpaceX did

Holding the ALT key helps a lot with part snapping (if you're trying to get it to attach to a node).

Nice design, I am very new to KSP and could not hope to construct this myself. My respect for SpaceX has increased too. Landing _is_ tricky, have not managed to it yet. For anyone new check your actions. Here Custom 1, unlocks the "elonavators".
the landing done really take a long time to get right, crazy how SpaceX made the belly flop look so easy!

Hi! On newest version you can actually turn off the fairing snaping and create smoother surfaces by pressing c while building the fairing. Great looking starship anyway, i'm going to copy your finns :)

Yeah I know, I just like using snap mode. Probably not the best idea when doing a fairly precise nosecone but hey, doing things the right way is too hard.

Is there a trick you use to make the hinges not break when you re-enter the atmosphere because when I re-enter in mine they break and then I don’t have control of the Ship if you have any idea how please let me know it would be a big help
I just make sure that I'm coming in with the fins behind the flaps so they act as a shied
Yo when I use the symmetry tool for the hinges they face in opposite directions so the flaps flap in opposite directions. What do you reckon is the issue?
You need to press 'R' when placing the part to switch the symmetry mode, that should do it

5:40 you could have used alt and it would only attach to nodes . Great starship, it looks better than most modded starships

if you hold LeftAlt while trying to attach a part it will disable radial placement and only connect with the nodes. Thought to mention this while you were building the fins

ok so i did everything you've shown here and my starship starts to violently rotate horizontally and even adding a shitton of RCS to stop it didn't work. + sometimes, and for some reason I cant flip to vertical position before the landing so I end up like SN9. (yes, I've moved the heaviest point on the craft near the engines) Any solutions? I'am an old KSP player so don't come up with something like "was your SAS control turned on" or "maybe you had something different than retrograde/stability assist turned on" etc. Thanks.
Have you ever heard of something called "Bendy Tech"?
It's a stack of the ant engines between your main ship and whatever you want to bend. Then you slap an airbrake against the side of it (but on the main thing) and allpw same vessel interaction between airbrake and thing. Ant engines have very flexible joints so you get a somewhat decent hinge that resets when time warp or switch to a different craft out of render distance.
You can build a stock version with a cargo door and without 10 s.a.s. units for stability. use the atmosphere, thats much cooler ^^

Hi I’ve got some questions. First is how do I place the fairing like this without the need to close it ? When right clicking on any piece I don’t have so many options like you do, for example the auto strut the heaviest part. And the color of the fairing how do I get this steel look ? My ksp version 1.10 I’d really appreciate your answer
So for the fairing, you'd want to click Alt + Left Click when editing it to close it. To get the other options like auto-strut. Go to settings and turn on advanced tweakables, then you should get it. And yep, your going to want the silver color. Yours may look a little different because the colors are a little weird in 1.10

I made an almost exact replica of yours and when I try to reenter Kerbins atmosphere it loses control and goes into a nose first prograde dive I can’t get out of, also it really struggles to do the bellyflop, like it struggles to go straight and takes almost a minute to transition. Do you have any solutions to both of these problems? Love your channel and videos btw
I would try to pump as much fuel to the bottom/ back as possible to try to help it pitch up. As to the second problem idk really what you could do about that. The fairings can be a little weird aerodynamically.
@@Piolet1549 I did the fuel tank thing on my own as I thought of it too. Didn’t seem to work. I even added more rcs and that didn’t solve it either. I used you tutorial and made a mk2 and will try again. Overall though, your tutorial worked amazing and the mk2 can belly flop amazingly. I love your channel and your videos!

Yeah, I was using small hinges on the top fins for the longest time, and they would constantly flop around!
Hey man my ship just goes nose down at the last 2.5 km and wont belly flop. In short doesnt stay horizontal. What should I do?

Hey I was wondering how you made the flaps move so fast.. I built this model of the Starship but my flaps are super slow.. any way to fix that?
there should be an option called traverse rate, if you turn that up the fins should move quicker

Having trouble getting the flaps to work - it says they are locked and I can't figure out how to unlock them. I see action groups on 2 and 4 for the landing gear, how do I set up another action group to unlock the flaps?
you should be able to find something that says 'toggle locked' in the action group menu

How do you keep the craft stable during the belly-flop?
it really has a lot to do with balancing
When I'm going to turn the ship on its belly, it falls over and spouts on the ground and explodes, what do I do? sorry for the bad english i'm brazilian
If it is falling forward, your going to need to try and add fuel to the back. If you need to, you could try clipping the fuel tanks in the back. It can be tricky to fly even if it balanced perfectly tho
Very good video, only when I go to cover the engines I can't leave it open as well as in the video my bonnet closes, I don't know if there is a button for that.

to get autostrut, you need to enable advanced tweakables in settings. To get the silver fairings, you need 1.10 or later

There are no mods, the ship is fully stock. I'm not totally sure what your asking about, could you clarify?

@@Satronex under the fairing settings there is an option called (fairing staged), clicking on this will remove the fairing from the staging diagram.
