    From the documentary: "Always working together for the people"
    The Sixth Party Congress reviewed and discussed the report on the work of the party in the ten years since the Fifth Party Congress. It also elected a new Central Committee. In his report to the congress, Kim Il Sung outlined a set of goals and policies for the 1980s. He proposed the establishment of a Democratic Confederal Republic of Kory as a reasonable way to achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of the country. Kim Il Sung also clarified a new ten-point policy for the unified state and stressed that North Korea and South Korea (the Republic of Korea, or ROK) should recognize and tolerate each other's ideas and social systems, that the unified central government should be represented by P'yongyang and Seoul on an equal footing, and that both sides should exercise regional autonomy with equal rights and duties. Specifically, the unified government should respect the social systems and the wishes of administrative organizations and of every party, every group, and every sector of people in the North and the South, and prevent one side from imposing its will on the other. (www.globalsecur...)
    Confederal Republic of Koryo
    North Korea's policy is to seek reunification without what it sees as outside interference, through a federal structure retaining each side's leadership and systems. In 1973, it proposed forming a Confederal Republic of Koryo that would represent Korean people in the UN. The North Korean President Kim Il-sung elaborated on the proposed state (then called Democratic Confederal Republic of Koryo) on October 10, 1980 in the Report to the Sixth Congress of the Worker's Party of Korea on the Work of the Central Committee. Kim proposed a federation between North and South Korea, in which their respective political systems would initially remain. (en.wikipedia.o...)

    A few NK-apologists try to argue that North Korea _ISN'T_ a one-man dictatorship (that the Kim Family _DOESN'T_ simply rule by decree) by trying to argue that the Korean Workers Party (NK's communist party) has some independent power and autonomous decision-making capability separate from the Kim Family.
    All you need to do to prove them wrong is show them this video (which was made in 1980) and remind them that the _7th_ Party Congress didn't happen until 2016.
    (In other words, the KWP didn't meet up to perform any sort of "legislative" function for 36 years, which proves where all the power lies in North Korea.)

  • @ongtayjoojames-ow1bs
    @ongtayjoojames-ow1bs 2 місяці тому +2

    Somehow, this kind of person, the late Kim Il Sung was born to be a leader type. But unfortunately, he was only given a small nation in this world to rule. If only he were to be given a chance to rule a bigger nation, then probably he wld had rule the whole of Korea, both North and South. This is how I see...!!!☝️😐
