I may not be a Communist or a Juche kind of guy, but, North Korea was better off than South Korea when he was in charge, though he may not be the most trusted and friendly person out there. But his son made the country worse than anywhere else in Asia at the time.
The North was better than the South not because of him but because of the Japanese. When Japan controlled Korea, they industrialised the northern region that's why when the handover began from Japan colony to US-USSR occupation to SK-NK independent governments, the North is richer than the South. But the South had the right economic policy, right leaders, right ideology, strict implementation, and collaboration between Chaebols and the state when it comes to cheap labor, FDI, tax cuts, technical aid, and promoting Korean products worldwide. Thus the South got better electricity, heavy, petrochemical, and electronic industries, making it more prosperous than the North. Also it's not just the Japanese that made North Korea look cool, it's also the Soviet aid. When the USSR collapse so is the aid and the North Korean famines started. He literally DO NOTHING to make his country great, it's all done by the Japanese and Russians, then what he did is fvcq up his once so-called "great country" with his wrong set of principles (continued by his son and grandson). No wonder why South Koreans only wanted to oust the military dictatorship and democratise NOT reunify with the North in the 80s.

If you say the Soviet helped them recover economically, you could say the same to the South with the US but the North recovered faster. Modern South Korea could benefit from a more social democratic system while the North hopefully liberalizes within reason. On the one year anniversary on north koreas Kim Jong Il passed away in 2011. There was a mourning for the former leader Kim Jong Un and the hornor of Kim Jong Il and his first states leader, Kim Il Sung. Kim Jong Un had a mourning from his father and his grandfather which passed away more than 17 years in power. He watched over the ceremony to commemorate the death of his father and his grandfather Kim Il Sung which he passes away more than 25 years ago from 2019. As international community of hornor of Kim Jong Il and his father. The North korean people felt the regime which Kim il sung and Kim Jong Il through kim il sungs visit through on 1975 before he passed away on 1994 and his son Kim Jong Il passed away in 2011. Kim Il Sung was a man kind through is life.(Written in 2012)
I read somewhere that Kim's spoken Korean was terrible, and that he needed a dialect coach in his early years (he grew up speaking Chinese). Could a Korean speaker comment on this?
Im a korean but i cant understand his voice speaking neither.. maybe he said we are proud of that north korea has overcome the crisis affecting our country despite with other countries' sanctions(f.e america japan soviet... at that time) on ours.
North Korea's economy was superior to that of South Korea when Kim Il Sung was present 1953-1994. Following his death, American imperialists imposed multiple economic sanctions against the north, which led to famine. It was the Americans who managed to create this famine by economically sanctioning the country, so that the dear General Kim Jong il failed to succeed and created a revolt of the people. But it was a failure, thanks to the revolutionary ideas of juche. North Korea would be extremely rich if it did not have the economic sanctions that the USA created to suffocate the country and turn it into a South Korea.
@@ThatFamousMerchant you just have to be logical. South Korea began to get rich after the 1988 Olympics. The great leader Kim Il Sung was even willing to organize the Olympic Games so that the venues were in both Koreas. South Korea obviously refuses. and to have a famine, you have to create it. North Korea began imposing sanctions since 1953, because the UN and the United States do not want to accept that the country's revolutionary ideas work. The United States is very angry that North Korea is surviving on its own, without depending on anyone's help. This is why in my private life, I always activate ideas from the perch to get out of it.

2:09 start of speech/what you came here for
I too have a family business. Wish it was a country.
I read somewhere that Kim's spoken Korean was terrible, and that he needed a dialect coach in his early years (he grew up speaking Chinese). Could a Korean speaker comment on this?
I have read the same on Wikipedia
he spoke russian as well, he fought for the USSR during world war 2.
I believe he grew up speaking Russian
Im a korean but i cant understand his voice speaking neither..
maybe he said we are proud of that north korea has overcome the crisis affecting our country despite with other countries' sanctions(f.e america japan soviet... at that time) on ours.
I can understand just 10%
his accent is exactly northern accent and also words

North Korea's economy was superior to that of South Korea when Kim Il Sung was present 1953-1994.
Following his death, American imperialists imposed multiple economic sanctions against the north, which led to famine.
It was the Americans who managed to create this famine by economically sanctioning the country, so that the dear General Kim Jong il failed to succeed and created a revolt of the people.
But it was a failure, thanks to the revolutionary ideas of juche.
North Korea would be extremely rich if it did not have the economic sanctions that the USA created to suffocate the country and turn it into a South Korea.
Underrated comment.
But One question:
Where did you read this ?

Please prove this ridiculous racist claim. Show my one documented instance of a person being killed for not showing emotion.
Mass grief is an element of Korean culture. I suggest, assuming from you profile picture that you have an earnest interest in combating racism, that you actually study what you claim to understand before claiming you do.
