The one thing I'd do differently is open the brake fluid reservoir and put a tissue in there, as pushing the caliper piston in increases the pressure of fluid in the braking system

how good are Japanparts break pads?
that interior brake pad is mounted wrong, that wear indicator should be on the lower part of the pad
Didn’t check the slider pins could be seized

TheAlexunit yes. You can use a thick flat blade screwdriver to push the piston back with the old brake pad before removing the caliper
O have done it sucessfully with woodworker clips (grampos)
No,because this piston is screw type, not old style
Brake discs just do not come off that easily
Your guy in the video should consider wearing safety glasses while working.
... and a full hazard suit, plus safety helmet. You never know.
